    Smack Daddy with olives
    Rick P.

Sunday night pizza...I chose smack pie because it allows you to have the pizza you want...personal, no compromises with your family on which one to pick lol. Anyways, I chose the Smack double bacon. It came pretty quick out of the oven. Very tasty. My daughter had the original with olives. We also had a custom pizza which was equally delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. I was able to satisfy my pizza craving at a reasonable price. Thanks Smack Pie!

Pizza with extra cheese, mushrooms, olives and bell pepper....Delicious!

Mushrooms and olives are always my favorite on pizza. I decided to order that as my only toppings with pesto and a drizzle of ranch on the top. It was delicious!

We ordered 4 pizzas to-go to bring back to our Airbnb for dinner. We got pepperoni with bacon and pineapple, sausage with mushroom and red onion, artichoke pesto, and vegetarian. I'm not a thin crust type of girl. But it hit the spot after drinking all day.

It has been a few years since I've visited Smack Pie, but I have yet to find a pizza place with bbq sauce as good as theirs SO when we were in town looking for lunch... we decided to go back! I'm pleasantly surprised that their menu is nearly exactly the same with the same wide variety of toppings. My favorite has always been the build your own option with bbq sauce (again, top notch), fresh mozz and regular mozz, pepperoni and spicy pepperoni, sausage, buffalo chicken, with a ranch drizzle. YUM! A BYO 3-topping was the max with additional toppings for I think 50 cents each. Not a bad deal considering it's hard to find add-ons for under a dollar at most places, but definitely miss the days when a BYO was all the toppings you wanted - although I do understand why that's probably not a smart business practice. Pleased to report that the quality hasn't changed much if at all, everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly, and they have delicious garlic knot type things now, too. I was a little sad that they take the orders at the front register now and don't walk you down the line "Subway style" to choose your toppings and watch them make it. I always enjoyed that because then I could ask for double toppings if it wasn't enough of something. I remember getting a salad-pizza combo for a steal of a deal before. Today's visit blew my mind because our two pizzas and a side (plus tip) was $50! A sign of the times, I suppose. Would recommend for a day date or pizza on-the-go.

Gluten free crust with Date my Bacon, and hot honey

Love the outside seating and the windows that open up. Very friendly and welcoming place. If you don't know what to have, they will make lots of suggestions. Pizza, so good. I had a gluten free Date my bacon and added hot honey. My mouth is watering just typing this out. Hubby wanted to share his so he can have some of mine. I passed on his. I didn't really care for it after eating what I ordered. He had chicken pesto on gf crust. It needed a punch. Next Time we'll add to it. They do serve beer and wine as well as non alcoholic drinks. Very family and pet friendly place. Overall, great pizza and great ambiance.

pepperoni add arugula and finish with buffalo

i love smack pie!! think of blaze or pieology but way better. they have so many toppings and combinations. i got pepperoni, arugula, and finished it with buffalo sauce. sooo good. hits every time and is so simple yet so good. andy got the bbq smack down (not pictured) and sophie got the bee sting. both were so good. they had the perfect amount of toppings and all the flavors went so well together. these pizzas are seriously the perfect size too and i love thin crust so i prefer these pizzas over regular thick crust.

First time visiting and I ordered the Chicken Pesto pizza. The customer service was excellent and the pizza was delicious! I will definitely visit again when I am in town.

My review would be a 3.5 Really liked the atmosphere of this resturant because I havent been in a while and its in downtown which has nice areas to shop and explore. They also have a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy if you like eating outdoors. I liked the variety on their menu and how the staff greeted us pretty friendly when delivering our to go order. I got the margherita with arugula instead of basil. I think i would have done basil next time just because the arugula didnt cook down as much. I usually get arugula but this one was more leafy. My bf got a sausage pizza which he enjoyed but for rhe price we paid I wish it would have been bigger because I know he loves his sausage pizza. Some things about this resturant I noticed though were some long wait times, no employee was wearing masks for covid protocols, & the prices were high for only 2 pizzas and a half salad. Although it seemed customer friendly and had a great atmosphere I think just a few improvises to keep in mind would really help keep the resturant more orientated with the community in mind.

The place gets busy fast, which is always a good sign, and the food absolutely lives up to the hype. Everything tastes fresh, hot, and made with care. The appetizers are consistently a standout, and the potato skins are a must. Get them Sicilian style. They're savory, satisfying, and the kind of starter everyone at the table keeps reaching for. Honestly, they set the tone for the whole meal. A quick tip: get there early, ideally right when they open. The parking lot is small and fills up quickly, but there is extra parking along the side of the building and behind it, which helps. Still, this is definitely the kind of place where arriving early makes the whole experience easier. And save room for dessert. Seriously. You have to get dessert. This is not the place to skip it. Yes, you may have to wait a bit, but that's part of the deal with well-loved local restaurants like this. The good news is your patience pays off. Guantonio's is warm, welcoming, delicious, and absolutely worth the wait. Here's a slightly punchier version too, in case you want it to sound even more like a real Yelp post: Guantonio's is such a gem in Lodi and definitely one of those local favorite spots that people keep coming back to for a reason. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and worth every bit of the wait. The appetizers are so good, but the potato skins are the real star. Order them Sicilian style. So good. Crispy, hearty, and packed with flavor. One of those appetizers you start thinking about before you even come back. Pro tip: come early, right when they open, because this place fills up fast. The main parking lot is pretty small, but there's more parking on the side of the building and behind it. Once you know that, it's a lot easier. Also, do yourself a favor and get dessert. Don't even debate it. This place gets busy, the wait can build, but your patience will absolutely pay off. Guantonio's is 100% worth it.

The space has a clean, modern neighborhood feel with a bit of personality. Inside, it's bright and minimalist with warm wood tables, shelves of wine bottles, and a small retail touch (cards, merch) that gives it a local/artisan vibe. There's also a covered outdoor seating area with string lights that looked like a good option for warmer evenings. It's casual but thoughtfully put together, somewhere between a wine bar and a pizza spot. Service stood out as a strong point. It's first-come, first-served (no reservations), but we were seated right away. Staff were prompt and efficient throughout the meal, checking in regularly without hovering, and pacing everything well. We had time to finish our salad before the pizza came out, and they gave us a natural break before dessert. No long waits, no rushing... just well-managed service. We started with the capri salad. I thought it was fresh and well-balanced, but my partner wasn't particularly impressed, and so I'd call that one mixed reviews depending on your expectations. For the main event, we ordered the pepperoni pizza "Nick's way" (with ricotta and hot honey). This was the highlight of the meal. The crust was well executed, nicely cooked with a good chew, not too thick and not overly thin. The pepperoni and hot honey combination worked really well, giving it that sweet-and-savory balance that keeps you going back for another slice. The cheese was excellent, with the ricotta adding a nice contrast. If I had one critique, it's that the sauce was a bit light. I would've preferred a slightly heavier hand there to round things out, but it didn't take away from the overall quality. We each had a glass of wine, my partner had a Pinot, and I had a red blend (not labeled as a house wine, and I couldn't find the exact winery afterward). The by-the-glass selection is limited, but they do have a fairly extensive bottle selection if you want more options. For dessert, we both went with sundaes and honestly, these are worth coming back for on their own. Simple, well done, and genuinely satisfying. If you're nearby, it wouldn't be a stretch to stop in just for dessert. Overall, a strong neighborhood spot with excellent pizza, well-paced service, and standout desserts. A few minor limitations (light sauce, limited wine-by-the-glass options), but definitely worth a visit.

They also have a wide variety of food options, which makes this a great spot for a group since there's something for everyone. They started us off with complimentary pinwheels which were nice to snack on while we looked over the menu. I do think they would be even better served the traditional way with lime and Tapatio. I ordered the Table Nachos as my meal, which would also be a great group appetizer. They were fully loaded and filling, but overall just okay. The chicken was a bit bland. It did the job, but not something I would go out of my way to order again. My fiancé had the Mango Habanero Chicken Sandwich and was also a bit underwhelmed. For something labeled habanero, it lacked the kick you would expect. We both agreed the fries were the highlight. Service was friendly and our waitress checked in on us, but a few small things were missed and we had to ask more than once for items like extra napkins and sauce. While dinner was not a hit for us, it may have just been what we ordered. I would be open to coming back to try their brunch.
