We have been coming to this location since it was previously a Mobil franchise. The main reason we kept returning was because the person in charge was always kind, attentive, and pleasant. When my daughter bought her new car, she naturally started coming here as well because of that same positive experience. A couple of years ago, the location became a Strickland Brothers franchise, but the same manager was still there, and that's what mattered to us. The service and professionalism we valued remained consistent. Yesterday, all of that changed. The usual manager was not there, and instead the person who claimed to be in charge was rude, condescending, and disrespectful. I won't get into the details of our exchange, but the young man's tone was confrontational and completely unprofessional. It actually hurts me to write this review because I value the places I frequent and I am a loyal customer. This was my "for sure" place -- the place where I knew I would get results, great service, and leave satisfied. Unfortunately, that trust is now gone, and I will be looking for a new place to service my car. 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Stripped and over tightened drain plug. 4000 mi later I changed the oil again myself. Had to use bolt extractor and a heat gun with a 24" breaker bar to remove drain plug. The oil filter (cartridge type) was twisted and partially collapsed. It was the cheapest Chinese filter. An actual Jeep/Mopar filter is only $6.99. I'm not sure the oil was even changed looking at that drain plug. Never going back there. read more

I can't say too much. Went there at 9am, several bay stations open. Two mechanics inside. As I pulled up one gave me a look like he already didn't want to be there. Went into the lobby, waited over 10 minutes with no one around. Saw the price list on the counter - yikes $100 + ...... I left without even talking to anyone. I made an appointment for this location through Car Advise and prepaid for my service. I did have some minor difficulties with approving the service because they are having some technical difficulties with their phone system. Once arriving at the shop they immediately start to work on my vehicle. They did have to pause the service once they found out the payment was made through Car Advise. Pierre was not familiar with the platform but worked very diligently to find out about them. He was made aware that their service had been deactivated but was so patient with working with Car Advise and his manager to get their system reactivated so I would not be inconvenient. Haven't seen Tim on my last 2 visits, the place is not the same when he's not here!. The oil change is taking 20 mins plus. No sense of urgency! Loud hip hop music being played distracting the workers. Not happy! Won't by back until Tim does! Then after I talked to the greeter, didn't get his name, he explained why Tim wasn't there and I was understood what was going on. I'm going to give them another chance to make sure! Fast, friendly and honest service. Don't waste your money or time going anywhere else

I really liked this place, I've been taking my cars to place for years. Hence, its conveniently located. A few months ago it changed from Mobile 1 to Strickland. The manager remained the same, but the entire crew changed. My last oil change was a nightmare, the not so experienced crew stripped the oil drain plug on my car causing the oil to leak slowly causing major damage to my motor with no indication. Luckily I keep all my receipts. I made a claim with corporate 9/21/22 and the area manager Dan has yet to follow up. I have been calling & calling and no answer. This is very unsettling. read more

Fastest oil change I've had in Chicago. The guys were honest and efficient. They showed me the different types of oil and where they stored them. I went with the Mobile 1 oil Change which is @$80.99 plus tax (full synthetic bottled up) . Tim was amazing! I went in yesterday for an oil change & he opened my door, & basically walked me to my seat while he changed my oil. He has fresh hot coffee & ice cold water for waiting customers, which I wasn't in there long at all. They all help each other to get the job done faster. I'll start with saying I was in the Quick Lube industry for 5 years as a manager for Oil Express. The first time I came here I was very disappointed with their customer service skills especially the manager in particular which I understand people have bad days. Now my second time there it was even worse very rude service and in my eyes of someone who was in the field for quite some time knows what I'm looking for. I will no longer be servicing any of my vehicles at this location due to the management and overall customer service skills. I would much rather take the drive somewhere else even though this place is two blocks from home. Management needs to work on trying to keep his customers instead of pushing them away with his people skills. I've been going here for a couple of years and I always get full synthetic oil and a new filter. They are fast. They always write 5000 miles on the sticker but when I sent my sister to get an oil change in my car they wrote 3000 miles on the sticker and even less than 3 months. Keep in mind she got the same thing I always get and I even saw the invoice. The only thing that changed was my sister got it instead of me which means they get over on women and people who aren't knowledgeable about cars. I've been using the mobile 1 lube for the last three years. The 2011 Camry I purchased used had been serviced at the mobile 1 lube on 95th street near Robert's road. The Burbank lube has been good, even though they are a bit pricey. Just had my oil and filter changed. For the last year or more my front end has been making what sounds like a bad strut when I was going over a speed bump or a curb. I finally lifted the front end. Protective black panels were loose and hanging. Causing the noise. Wow, do you think the person changing my oil noticed the dangling panels? Or they did and didn't give a sh#*. I usually get my car serviced at the Hyundai dealership down the street, but they didn't have any appointments available for a little over a week. I was wayyy overdue for an oil change, and I didn't want to wait that long. So I took the risk and came here. Tim was phenomenal! My pros regarding this place: very friendly and quick service. My con: I was here last week. I noticed leakage in my garage a day after getting an oil change. I thought it was just some spillage but when it continued the day after that, I knew something was wrong. I took it back and asked if anything was wrong because of the leak. After looking into it I was told "there's nothing wrong. It might've been some extra fluid we put in but you're ok". Fast forward to today when I took my car to my mechanic because something didn't feel right. Immediately upon lifting the car, he noticed a crack in my oil pan. $400 later I'm back to normal. Tim, the manager, runs a great shop. Came in for an oil change, and was thinking I would need a transmission fluid exchange, and possibly a differential fluid change, too. Tim didn't just tell me I needed the transmission fluid changed, he showed me the fluid. Even more impressive was he told me the differential fluid was fine. What, no fake up sale? Honesty? What a refreshing change! The cherry on top was the price - half of what the dealership quoted. And in and out in an hour! The dealership wanted all morning. I've been using this place for oil change on my two cars for many years and i was always satisfied with the service. As a loyal customer i usually got little discount on the price. Last week my husband went to change oil on my new Honda Pilot and he was charged $73.17 for the oil change. There was no additional service performed on my car, just the oil change. He was told, there is no coupon or discount on the synthetic oil. Going back home he checked at NTB and they will do the same service for $59.00 + tax. Maybe it is not a big difference, but i am really disappointed, i was always offered the best price and the best service at Mobil 1 until the last visit. They have coupons in the Value Pack that you get in the mail, but I'd pay full-price for the great service you receive. They remember you, even though you are only there every 3-ish months.
