I called ahead to verify pricing before my son went and was still overcharged. Heads up that they charge 999 for a shop supply, which I was told by Nate the was for use of their ratchets and tools. That isn't included in the 5999 oil change price. Ridiculous. They also charged me $9.79 extra for an oil filter. In the description the oil filter should be included in the conventional oil change. They also didn't wipe windows or vacuum interior that is in the description. When I asked about it, he just said they don't do that anymore but it clearly states that's part of the $60 charge. Terrible service, rude employee, dishonest practices, do not go here. read more

I posted short review on google but want to share my story to warn others! Dont go to this Jiffy Lube unless you want your car possibly damaged and to be bullied. On 5/28 I went to Jiffy Lube on cicero in Crestwood, to get a regular oil change. I was informed there was no air filter in my car. I was confused, as I have only gone to Jiffy Lube for oil changes and could not understand why it would be missing. Crestwood Jiffy Lube stated they would put one in free of charge. The oil change from this store (Jiffy Lube on Kedzie) was done in December where they didn't put in an air filter - While waiting for my oil change at crestwood location, I called corp Jiffy Lube and made my complaint. I was told a message would be sent to the store and the store will reach out as each store is privately owned. - I called the Kedzie store asked for the manager, and spoke with Nate, explained what happened. He said come in and we will put an air filter in. I said no, as I received one but I am going to get my car check out for damages due to driving around without an air filter and I will send you the bill to cover. Nate agreed to cover the bill of having the car looked at. - Shortly after coming home, I received a call from a personal number with someone just saying their name is Omar (I believe the person who responded to this review) and requested a copy of my invoice. I was confused as I googled this number it was private, he never stated he was calling from Jiffy regarding my complaint. I said invoice is in my car and I am working. I was highly annoyed as when I asked for his last name, Omar immediately started speaking fast saying "You making this harder than it has to be" Which, annoyed me more, how am I making this harder than it has to be when I receive an unknown number and I ask for full details. He finally calm down and gave me his full name, and email address stating he is the district manager. I emailed him a copy of the Crestwood invoice (which I found confusing because he should be able to either pull it out of the Jiffy Lube system or call crestwood for it, or call corp requesting it) - He calls me back, stating I received an air filter for free at the Crestwood location (it was noted on my invoice), I said "yes I did". But that doesn't change the fact at your location during the oil change I paid for, your store never replace an air filter and I have been driving around for months without one. I told him I am getting my car check out by my mechanic and he will be covering the charges. He started to insist he talk to my mechanic, I told him no. I told him he has no place is deciding what happens to my car at the shop as I don't trust him because his store didn't put in an air filter. He said he will not be coving the bill then, and then started going into he will only cover a certain amount. I asked him what is this "magical" number you will only cover for damages caused by not putting in the air filter. He was getting increasingly mad and kept saying "You are making this harder than it has to be" He aggressively asked me when do I plan on taking it to the mechanic. I said I am not sure, as this has all happened in the last couple of hours and I still need to call and see if my mechanic has time to look at the car and I am currently working. Also, I will need to set up ubers to ride there and back. And I don't know how long I will be with out a car depending on how long it takes the mechanic to look the car over. I asked him will he cover the uber or maybe a rent car. He said " no". He once again told me "You are making this harder than it has to be" . I said fine Omar, let me call my mechanic and get it scheduled so I can update you. Which then I called my mechanic and he said to bring it in tomorrow (5/29) but as I have work, I wont be able to drop it off until after 4:30pm. I called Omar back to let him know I would be dropping my car off the next day. - As some point in our multiple calls, I asked Omar for the policy on how this should be handled. He said there is none and its just his word; where once again he stated " You are making this harder than it has to be" I called corp asked them for policy and they stated each store will have their own as they are privately owned. - Omar agreed to refund my oil change from Dec, but not until he hears from my mechanic, but depending on that price he may or may not cover the repairs. So he is holding my refund hostage until he deems if it necessary to cover cost of his store not putting in an air filter. - If you want to gamble with your car and be bullied. I suggest bringing your car to this Jiffy Lube as they offer full service of possibly damaging your car and be extremely rude on the phone! read more

Nobody enjoys oil changes or any vehicle repairs/maintenance. This location made it at least less stressful and annoying. How many times over the years places have tried to bully me into a new serpentine belt. These guys were not pushy at all. They were as efficient as possible and the price was right. Took my car in for an oil change. Ended up leaving with a broken windshield wiper. When we arrived, the employee asked, "How are the wiper blades?" as he did to all the customers. I figured I'd get some new ones put on. When it was time to be rung up, the mechanic who worked on the car came to explain the situation, starting by saying our car was, "Too new," which is why he didn't know how to properly attach the wiper blades and ended up breaking the adapter that attaches the blade to the wiper. In other words, it was OUR fault that this happened. He instructed us to go to a Subaru dealership, buy a new blade, bring it back to them and they would reimburse us and replace the blade. It wasn't until we asked if there would be a discount for this inconvenience that he let us know that there would be...$10 off. So now we have to spend our Saturday driving out to a Subaru dealership to buy a new blade. As you can see, they wrapped a rag around the broken wiper. You don't have to look too hard to see the oil they dripped on my hood. When they ask you, "How are the wiper blades?" just say "They're fine." Especially if you have a newer vehicle, and especially if you don't have a whole day to spend fixing their mistake...for $10. read more

Want your car messed up big time, bring it to Jiffy Lube at 104th & Kedzie. Changed oil $79. Car throws a check engine light. GMC Dealer says whomever checked your air cleaner didn't put it together right. Not covered under warranty. $70. Also car had been running rich because of this and may have dumped gas into the oil. Get a new oil change $79. Go back to Jiffy Lube and their response is, "we don't know what the dealer did to your car. Should have come here first. Oh, btw, Mr. Jiffy Lube manager says not to bring car there again. No crap, sherlock. I wouldn't bring a Radio Flyer wagon to that joint. 4 cars in family, been bringing them there since we lived here. Not anymore. read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I have worked in retail. Recently I brought my car in and asked repeatedly not to fill my tires, as they get filled with nitrogen and not air. (This is the second time they have done this after asked not too). When I addressed my concern to the manager Miguel, he said I could go get my tires filled with nitrogen and he would cover the charge but I needed to get back to work so it was not an option. The next day my car dings "low tire pressure" I call back and Miguel tells me to come in. On my way over I realize my tire is flat. I called and spoke to the assistant manager Kyle who told me they were in no way at fault and then took down my information for Miguel to call me back. That was on Saturday, it is Wednesday and I have not been able to get in touch with Miguel or receive a call back. I did end up getting the tire repaired and my mechanic mentioned that there was a chance jiffy lube was at fault. So I will never be back here again and would rather pay $$$$ somewhere else to deal with respectful people. The only recent I am giving 2 stars is because Miguel was polite when we first spoke but after not getting a phone call back since SATURDAY I find it unacceptable. read more

Was so disappointed with the dishonest service that I received when I last went here. And it will be ... the last time that I go here. Asked for an oil change and tire rotation. Was clearly a busy day, so I didn't mind having to wait a bit. After nearly an hour, I was called to pay my bill. Was informed that they were only able to do the oil change because "the way the brake lines were prevented the car from being able to put it on the ramp for the tire rotation". Instantly knew this was not true because I had the same thing done at other Jiffy Lube's. Ended up having to bring my car to a privately owned shop and they essentially confirmed that NOTHING about how the car's brake lines were structured could prevent it from being put on ANY type of ramp. Only confirmed what I already knew, but also confirmed that they just didn't want to do it and chose to lie and push me out the door. Definitely out the door, but think that anyone looking for genuine feedback on their vehicle should stay WAY away. read more

I should've learned my lesson last time at another chain nearby when they punctured my filter and nearly ruined my engine. They were nice at this location, but forgot to fill my tires and then spilled oil on the manifold which caused my car to smoke all the way to my mechanic. It's just sloppy workmanship, and you could be putting your car at risk by going to these chains. Plus they use cheap oil. Better off at your local mechanic. read more

I got my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube on 103rd Kedzie last week and they talked me into getting a new air filter (I ALWAYS say no to the other stuff they try to sell me but the guy made me feel like the air my baby was breathing was bad so I gave in!)--- well my brakes were all messed up so I took it in to get new brakes at this small auto shop by my house my husband and I have both taken our cars there in the past and they are super honest and reasonable and I really trust them!)and the guy just called and asked if I wanted to go ahead and get a new air filter because it looks like my air filter has never been changed! What the hell! I feel so taken advantage of! I called Jiffy Lube to complain and the guy seriosuly made it sound like no big deal and said, "we might have been out of the air filter that your car needed"...what the...?!!! So why did you charge me for it then? Like did they even change my oil or just charge me for something that they didn't do, too? So moral of the story don't go to the Jiffy Lube on 103rd and Kedzie. Oil changes are pretty common and I've never had a good experience like I did here. They took me in right away. They offered me different types of oils and didn't fight me in taking the higher priced oil. They let me know what other services needed to be done but did not pressure me to do them in that moment. I was offered a discount on the oil change and everything was done pretty quickly. The staff was amazing. They placed down floor mats and seat covers to keep my car clean when they moved it for me. These guys are a bunch of con artists. Last summer they had a sign stating 10 dollars off an oil change. When I looked at the bill they had taken only eight off. After a brief exchange the other two dollars was refunded. Last month, I had a fifteen dollar off coupon they refused to honor and would only give me ten off. When I got the bill, the deduction was not made. When I protested, the manager tried to give me three-twelve dollar coupons to use a another time. I refused and he reluctantly passed over two crumpled five dollar bills. While waiting for my refund, another customer was making a similar complaint read more

Also I would love to recognize not only him, but his team as I was having trouble with my dip stick for the oil and they did everything they could to try and solve the problem I had. Went here for a simple oil change and air filter change and left with a broken air intake tube and a repair cost of $150. Will not go back here. I arrived at the Jiffy store and was greeted warmly by a service tech that opened my car door and walked me into the service area. The technicians immediately began a great service on my car. I requested a manager because I was unclear about the pricing posted and not only did the manager Erick take the time to fully explain all the pricing he also checked my brake fluid, and offered to top off my fluids anytime needed free of charge!!
