I went to Moe Manny and Joe. They quoted me 1400.00 for a brake service they claimed that I needed. Having been a shade tree mechanic for a while but now 70+ years under my belt, I'm thinking these guys must be on mushrooms or something. I pondered about do I want to do this my self? Or go somewhere that will treat me with respect, tariffs or no tariffs. I stopped in at Mufflers 4 Less explaining what work that I believed that I needed, I had already went to Auto Zone and purchased the parts and asked for a quote. They examined the vehicle and quoted me 200.00 bucks for labor. They told me it was kind of busy and it would take about an 90 minutes I told them, have at it. I called my wife, she picked me up, they called me 1 hour later said that they were finished and didn't have to use all of the parts that Moe Manny and Joe said that I needed. With that being said I told them to also fix a exhaust leak that I had on the vehicle, I used the money that I had saved on taking the unused parts back to pay for that work that I needed. I am now a happy camper. The brakes don't squeal and the exhaust doesn't howl anymore on my 16 year old Toyota 5 speed. Low and slow is the way to go. read more

I went to have my breaks checked on 9-11-24.They wouldn't take my tire off so that I could see what my back breaks look like. The Owner of this business insisted that I sit down every time I got up to see what they were doing. Once they took the back tires off, the owner told me that if I was paying with a credit card it would be a 4 percent extra charge. I told him that I was not going to pay extra and insisted that they put the tires back on. I left the shop and went to a more reputable shop and was told that I didn't need rear brakes. The owner of this establishment is ripping people off. I would not recommend this business. The owner is very shady, can't be trusted. Plus they stole a pack of disinfectant wipes from my car. If steal wipes, please do not leave anything of value in your car. read more

Watch this shop, they recommend a shop that messed my car up, and it cost me a lot of money to straighten out what that shop that was recommended by them did to my car . I brought a muffler here to be swapped out for my stock muffler. Arrived early, received immediate assistance, left happy. Very reasonable prices. Before the work was performed they explained to me what they were going to do, what it would cost, and that they would stand by their work if there were any leaks. I was there less than an hour. These guys are the real deal!! I came in today to see what was going on with my brakes but come to find out... i accidentally push my emergency brake handle up nd that's what had been causing my break light to pop up. Now the guys tell me, " If u had of went somewhere else, the would have told lie about something they needed to fix nd would have charged me $200 or more... for a job that took less than 2 mins!!" Avoid this place, they charge a ridiculous amount of money to install a generic cat converter. Ignorant employees. You're better off buying the cat yourself online and taking it elsewhere to get it installed. No reason why something should cost a few hundred dollars more than what you charged the last few times read more

I was referred to come here by a family friend. Staff is really nice. I thought my muffler needed to be replaced but it was actually something else attached to it. The guy also told me I'd need some other part replaced too sometime soon. So I got it all done for 200 bucks. It took less than 90 minutes to do everything. Some damn crooks stole my catalytic converter from in front of my parents house in Chicago. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed! Thankfully, this shop is right around the corner from my place. The owner (Moises) is a real nice guy and let me drop my truck off bright and early one Friday morning. I guess I was the first repair of the day because he called me about 45 minutes later telling me he finished up the job. Fast and pleasant service definitely appreciated. I decided to get my muffler upgraded while he had it in the shop and he gave me a great deal on both the catalytic converter and flowmaster install.. I specifically chose this shop after reading the other couple of reviews in here. My exhaust was loud, so we called first to see if we needed an appointment and were tild to just come right in. We arrived midmorning and found that it wasn't too busy. Moises was very kind and immediately acknowledged us and got our car into the shop. What I was most pleased with was the fact that he took the time to show my husband and me where the problem was on the car, what he was going to do, how long it would take and how much. Very thorough! Once he finished he was just as thorough, bringing us into the shop to show us the work that had been done. I can't say I've been to many places that bother to walk their customers through the work being done. Overall I really can't complain! read more

AMAZZZZZZZZZZZINNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Service!!! Hands down!!! I had been recommended to this place and was in a bind right before my emission test and had my check engine light on and had work done else where weeks prior, but ultimately, I had to get a new catalytic converter. I spoke with Moises (owner) over the phone during lunch. He told to come right on in. When I got there it was packkkked!! Once I told him I had spoken to him, he put my car right in. He explained everything in detail to me and said he would do anything to help me out!! He was able to put in a universal cat in for me,but the check engine wouldn't reset due to my "lovely-annoying VW Bettle." He told me to bring it in and most likely a fuse was out. I told him I had to work the following day, but someone would drop off my car. The following day, my car was dropped off and he not only fixed the issue, he drove my car to reset it and TOOK IT TO GET THE EMISSION TEST FOR ME!! Yes!! You definitely read right!!! What mechanic goes out of his way to do that?? He does!! He apparently does that a lot!!!! Did I mention he didn't charge me for the fuse or taking my car to pass the emissions test?? They do good work but Moses has a bad attitude. This is the second time with this issue. Not sure if this is how he talks to women. He is snappy, condescending, and his emotions come through his communication. Keep your personal problems and stressors from effecting your work life. Amazingly fast work from these talented guys. They know their work and were very detailed in their explanation. While every other place in the area made excuses as to why they couldn't look at my exhaust issue, Mufflers 4 Less told me to come in an hour and a half before they close and fixed my problem in under a half hour. The owner has turned me away twice, this is the second and last time. I brought my truck in at 12pm and the shop doesn't close until 6pm. He stated that he didn't feel like working on anymore cars and asked if I could leave the truck over night I said sure. He said never mind bring it back in the morning. If someone brought there car to you why would they want to drive all the way back to your shop again and take time from their job? No professional shop would tell you that and instead would just let you leave your car. I will never come back to this place. read more

Moses, is GREAT...I showed up before 8am and Moses was already setting up for the day. He acknowledged me as soon as he saw me and said he would be right with me. Moses is so polite..."may I have your keys ma'am, let me SHOW you what's going on ma'am, here's what I suggest ma'am". He even pointed out that my muffler was fine and had no holes and gave me a GREAT price for the work he was going to do and a estimate of how long it would take.
