My son took his Honda accord to this idiot and I regret referring him because I thought he was honest. I had him fix a vehicle for me awhile ago and I figured why not. He charged 2 diagnostic and tried to continue stating he fixed the problem but needed to look further on something he think might be a problem. He wouldn't answer when we called. I saw what he was doing after he went from 2800.00 to try to increase it. I called him cursed him out. Letting him know that can pay you a visit. I don't play about my child. I brought a used vehicle and had Juan give it a complete vehicle inspection. The vehicle only had a few minor issues i.e brakes and an oil pan leak. I went to Jalisco Auto Repair to have a leak repaired. I called ahead of time to confirm the part would be ordered and worked on that day. Romeo (the owner) told me to come in. 40 mins into my 2-3hour wait I was told by Juan Rojas that the card machine isn't working. I asked why I wasn't told before now after calling multiple times ahead of time (no one was checked out while I was waiting). He was extremely dismissive and repeated it wasn't his fault it's not working and I should go take out cash. I was planning to use a credit card so I said that wasn't an option. I spoke to Romeo and he just shrugged. I asked how long I have to get the work done and what to do in the mean time to safely drive until I can come back. He told me to take out cash or take the risk if I want to until I got a male family member on the phone to help ask more specific questions about the car parts. He finally says it's a slow leak and we decide to just top off the oil that's leaking. Juan had my car brought up front and pushed me back in line for the oil. I called the following Friday, a day before I planned to return and the first person I spoke to said I'd be fine but I need to come in right when they open. I got a call back from Juan to say the part had been returned and they will reorder it (it's been 5 days and he knew I was coming back in 1 week). I asked why it was returned and he was immediately angry and unprofessional. He said he doesn't have to deal with me again and they can do what they want. They can't keep random parts around. I asked why he couldn't just tell me the protocol instead of yelling at me and he said he'll order the part and hung up on me. He then ignored my calls to the store. I will not return due to the retaliatory actions of Juan Rojas. I do not know if he will make me wait longer for the part or do something to my car if he becomes emotional. Romeo has displayed a lack of consideration for his customers and authority over his own shop. This use to be my family's go-to auto shop. read more

Dishonest, does Not give u written quote when u leave ur vehicle there. When u ask a question, they roll their eyes at u. Had 2 vehicles here for brakes. I clearly advised on the 1 vehicle that it needed brakes rotors and calipers. Was quoted a price..left car. Later they called me and said I also need calipers and it would be an additional $245. I again told them that's what I asked for in the beginning. I've visited 4 other brake shops as well as called the best shops on the north side. When I picked car up, the calipers were replaced on just 1 axle. I looked. When I asked why not all, he stumbled some bs and told me I only needed the one axle...that's not u asked for and when they called to charge me the $245 extra, I was led to believe both axles for that price. The other vehicle..let's just say we were grossly overpriced and I'm too embarrassed to tell u how much we spent. I do not recommend this place. Go up north if u can. read more

Took my lady's car there to repair her A/C. I was told by Romero that he'll take a look but he might have to take the dash apart to fix the problem which will cost $1100. I told him I'll come and get it. I took it for a second opinion and was told I'm missing parts. I went back to Jalisco and was lied to by Romero, he told me he tried to call me and tell me he has a part that his employee forgot to put back. When I questioned him about the incompetence and being unprofessional he told me" so what you want me to do". Few more words were said but I'm never going back nor recommending Jalisco. So I would've had to pay for another part that he still had which he would use or sell at his discretion. Beware. read more

This was the worst experience I ever had with a mechanic! I had a 2000 Chevrolet MC that I wanted the mechanic to look at and inspect in order to get running. I had a dead battery so I went and replaced the battery and brought it back to the mechanic. I simply asked him for a pen to write my name on my battery and he blows up talking about: I don't trust him! He charged me $75.00 to get started but did absolutely nothing to help fix my car. I took my 2010 MAZDA with 100,000 miles to Jalisco Auto repair located at 8444 S. Kedzie for an oil change. Shortly after the check engine light came on. I brought it in and Romeo, the owner, told me it was the fuel injector. After leaving my car with him for several days on several occasions and the problem was still not fixed, I took it to another mechanic who told me THERE WAS NO ENGINE OIL IN THE CAR. NONE!!!! Keep in mind, I had not driven my car 3000 miles. How does 1 person drive 4 quarts of oil out of a good running vehicle in less a few months? Now my car has permanent engine damage and makes noise when I drive it. Romeo has been working on my car for several years. I always paid in cash. I trusted him. Now I don't feel secure when I'm driving. My new mechanic fixed the fuel injector problem after putting a genuine MAZDA part in and still charged me less money than Romeo who was using parts from Auto Zone. I took my 2008 Honda CRV because the engine light was on. A friend recommended this place because she had work done on her car. My car needed the typical 0xygen sensor replacement (I've had other cars with the same issue , sensor was replaced with no problem) but I was told I needed a vapor canister. Ok. I was quoted 1500.00. My car was at the shop 7 days. I was given a discount for the inconvenience so I was charged 1200.00. The engine light is back on. Took the car back and waited. The car was checked along with checking the wires. I drove from 84th to 87th and the light came back on. I called back twice and no one answered the phone. I have a regular mechanic who does all of my work but was not available. So not I'm out what would have been my entire stimulus check and a car who's engine light is still on. So, maybe it's just not my day. My job is in the western suburbs. I have 4 kids and I take my money very seriously. read more
