I have been going to this Firestone location since the one in Ford City closed well over 10 years ago. I absolutely love the friendly honest service here. Hiriam and Grace are straight up real and direct. They are reasonable and accommodating. Always offer coupons or the most economical way to go for repairs. I have never had an issue getting appointments and the work is top notch. I trust and choose them over the dealership any day!! read more

I went to Firestone for a diagnosis and suspension check/alignment . They called me and I asked them did they find any thing wrong with my suspension they said no. When I go to get my car.I asked for the after picture of my alignment. I was just shown a picture of the vehicle in Green with no vehicle information. I couldn't confirm if it was actual my vehicle. And my right tire is still inward. I am also not happy that I have a steering wheel cover and it it dirty due to the technician not washing hands or not using a steering wheel cover ... I have another bad experience with this Firestone . I expect more and better service . read more

I came here to have a battery changed that I couldn't find at other businesses. I called first and spoke to Hiriam. He got me a same day appt. Customer service was outstanding from him and William, 1 of the mechanics. I was given an estimate prior to my appt so I knew about what I was going to spend. read more

I had a flat tire and they were able to get me in very quickly. The work was done within an hour, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

I called at 4:44pm and I said I know it's late but is it possible to get brakes done? The guy who answered said absolutely come on in. I got there at 5. It wasn't until 6:20pm staff tells me they can't do it. He said they have to order parts but then I heard the coworkers saying that their brake "guy" isn't there today. I wish I known before I sat there for almost two hours read more

I would avoid this place like the black plague, employees are way too incompetent to be working on vehicles. AVOID AVOID I Went here for a full brake service and a full vehicle inspection along with oil change and tire rotation, Total of $1400 . 3 days of driving and the car locked up due to brake failure and lines being broken. Went to another shop to fix that cost around $400 Still haven't heard a word from firestone regarding the situation or what they exactly " fixed " , shows the incompetence of the store. One month later check engine light comes on, hoses on radiator were messed up, spark plugs were bad Thermostat was bad. $3400 dollar bill. It seems even when paying for a full vehicle inspection that they still didn't even complete that. So my question is what did I pay 1400? Because by the looks of it you guys didn't check anything or fix anything? To avoid yourself frustration AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

I've used this Firestone for the past several years and I've been very happy with their service. Staff is professional and my car was always serviced well. However..... ....I booked an appointment online for 10am today (Fri 12.27)....arrived about 10 minutes early....walked in....wound up requiring a diagnostic...OK, I said....then went to waiting area with my book and coffee....he said diagnostic would take a couple of hours. At 12:03pm I went to the desk to check on status....he tells me that they HAVEN'T STARTED YET since they have a "...couple of cars that need to be finished...." Are you kidding me?? I asked him what was the point of booking an appointment if they didn't honor it. Just said "I'm sorry..." I believe my time is valuable also so bad planning on their part does not constitute my having to wait over 2 hours just to get my car in the work area past my booking time. I asked for my keys and asked where my car was....he said where I left it. Will NOT go back ever. read more

Went to firestone in oak lawn got 3 new tires. Got the tires and my sensor still never went off. Took it back was told to come early morning Saturday I was turned away then told to come for my appointment Sunday. Sunday picked up my car hood of my car was open and tire pressure sensor still on. Staff was unprofessional. Here are photos of dents and invoices. My husband brought it to the Glen Ellyn jiffy lube and they fixed the issue. . read more

Firestone Oak Lawn - I would not risk going here. I went in to get new tires and they ended up damaging my rim. Even though I took before and after pictures, they took absolutely NO responsibility for the damage. They tried saying curb rash which was a total joke as the the damage was caused by their pry bar. (This was confirmed by experts). Over $700 in damages on my rim. They just lost a 30 year loyal customer and yes I am telling everyone I know not to go there. They may reach out online and respond but then they do nothing. Customer service is NOT the foundation for the business. Much better nearby options read more

Called this location to see if they had time to patch a tire. I was told "yeah no problem come on in at any time" I show up 5 minutes later and they say "I'll be out of there within the hour. 1.5ths later I'm told it will be at least another 1/2hr before they even look at it. Why waste people's time? If you're busy then that's understandable but don't lie to your customers. Would never give this location my business ever again. read more

Bought tires here in 2019. Had a good experience but did not write a review. Went there yesterday for service and had another real good experience. I intended to drop the car off for next day appointment. They looked at it the same day and within three hours my vehicle was ready. They did the usual recommendation stuff but did not hassle me for not having the extra stuff done. Overall I was very happy. read more

Brought car in for new tires. They called me to tell me I needed an oil change...just had oil changed 1 month ago and told me I needed a new battery. Decided to call the dealer where I have all my work done, just had rear brakes 2 weeks ago. Dealer looked up my car and said I didn't need my oil changed and my battery is fine. Firestone also charged $110.00 for wheel alignment. I thought it would be included so the 100.00 they gave me off for the sale they just took back. From now on I will go to the car dealer!! I guess they think because I'm a woman I wouldn't know any better. read more

I was told my tire needed to be replaced when all I needed was a tire repair due to a nail puncture. I was told that there was damage to the thread on the inner side of the tire, but no nail was mentioned! They wanted me to pay $388 for the new tire plus labor, I didn't . I instead I took my car to another tire repair shop where they showed me the nail and how there was no issue with any other part of the tire. $20 fix at G & S tire repair shop. read more

I made an appointment for new tires showing the service writer which ones I wanted, on the day of my appointment I was told that those tires didn't fit my car and I had to choose another tire. Originally I was told this would take 1 - 2 hrs. it took 4 hrs. Before leaving I wanted to make sure that the tire pressure sensor had been reset, I was told by the service writer that the mechanic said the tires would balance themselves as I drove. I knew this was incorrect, I have owned the car for 5 years and have tires rotated every 6,000 miles and they always set the tire monitor with a hand help machine and have to walk around the car to do this. I also noted that the tires were 37 pounds, 2 at 33 pounds, and one at 34 pounds. I called the next day customer service and was asked if I would like to bring it back and it would be fixed. The only item they did was inflate all the tires to 35 pounds as factory specs. the mechanic still told me I didn't know what I was talking about. However, it is on the owner's service manual, Google, and well as Youtube. I like the tires but I don't like to service. Now I have to find a new place to have my tires rotated and the sensors set correctly. read more

I took in my car for wheel alignment and to get tires balanced. I was told they cannot do alignment because old shims not installed on new front end suspension. My response was it's in for an alignment that's what need to be performed. Even if I reinstall old shims how would you correct toe and camber? that is part of an alignment. Their response we can't do it. I go pick vehicle up and they didn't even get wheel balanced. They performed non of the services they offer or I wanted. If you need an alignment or tires balanced they can't do it. Take it somewhere professional that knows what they are doing and can perform services offered. read more

I was driving local errands and my low tire pressure warning light on dash went on. I kept driving just thinking my tire was low. After about 1 hour of running errands I looked and saw it was REALLY low. I found a place that aired them up but by then my side walls were deteriorated (from driving on them low) so I knew I needed to replace it but since tires 5 years old and another one has sidewall damage might as well replace them all. Called up Hiram (General Manager) at this location bypassing the one on 95th Western for horrible service and told him my situation. He asked what the year make and model and I told him I wanted premium tires (normally I get the cheap ones). He said he had 4 Bridgestone Ecopia 422 (fuel efficient) in stock yet the tires on my car from factory were Michelin Energy Savers and he said the Bridgestone's were comparable but he could order the Michelin's if wanted. I went home did the online research and the Bridgestone's had good reviews and actually cost less so I told him I would be in next morning at opening because I needed the car by 12pm. Of course I wanted an alignment with new tires and Firestone is the only repair facility I know that will give you lifetime alignments for less than the price of 2. Maintaining proper alignment is crucial for even tire wear for this pot hole city we commute in. I dropped car off late at 7:30am and he said they will try to have it ready by then. I made arrangements to drive my wife's car but at 10:40 I got email that car was ready. I picked car up and soon as I drove off lot noticed the tires did ride better than what I have been driving on. The bonus is that he priced matched from local competitor so I got tires professionally installed fast at a GREAT price supporting a local business (esp crucial during COVID)!!! I would highly recommend anyone needing tires to contact Hiram at this location. read more

Was told it's going to take an hour and a half to change tires (once on the phone when booking the appointment and another when I arrived at the location). My appointment was at 3pm and it is now 5:58pm and I'm still waiting. I'd be a lot less irritated and would be understanding if the staff at least gave me an update on why it's taking longer than usual. I'll give an extra star for the nice gentleman at the front. read more

I come here now because the one on 95th & Western has gone way down in service. Hiram is my guy. I will not come here if he is not on site. I read the other reviews but I can only go from my experience. Like I said I only come when he is present. I get the service I want and need. It is sometimes a little more expensive depending on what it is but I will pay "a little " more for the service. So far oil changes and tires has been the most I have been willing to swing. I am fair though I will give Hiriam a shot if he is fair and convenient. I will also send my mom and sister here because i know he will do right by them. So far i have not felt the need to change course and will continue to use just this store as long as Hiriam is there. read more

I brought my car to this location because I was having some issues with it, I brought it in, for 80 dollars I had everything checked out. In the end of everything there were 3 things they wanted to do which would of cost 1900 dollars!!! I went to pick up my car because I couldn't afford it, gave me my bill with all the "recommendations" and didn't explain anything they wanted me to get done which would've cost 1900. So I brought it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion, 2 of the 3 had to be done. The 3rd item didn't, as well as for a full checkup they should've mentioned. My brakes which were down to nothing which I should've gotten on my full report, Luckily the 2nd place I brought it to told me about it. For pads and the 2 other things done which woulda cost me around 1500, that price was literally cut In half!!! Firestone charges waaaay too much for their work, if you know what's good for you, go to other places for quotes and work done on your vehicles!!!! read more

I've been going here for Oil changes for years and always very happy. Yesterday I had a bent rim on my front tire. I thought I would need it replaced but they put it up on the rack, looked at it and said they could knock out the dents. The entire thing cost me $23 instead of the very large number I had been dreading (and procrastinating getting done for several months). Friendly helpful service. Clean and relaxing waiting area. read more

The only pro is they're open Sunday. Was told it was 20 min to change a tire with a slow leak. It's been almost 2 hours and I'm still here. First tried to charge me $200 for one tire on an older car-I looked up their tires online before I came so I knew the prices. When i said no way then he said it was because of an 80$ service plan he was going to charge me for. They don't have any of the cheapetires in stock-only "the next price up". I've sat here and listened to the workers tell everyone this. Go somewhere else-I feel like I was scammed. read more

I have been coming here many years no problems. The last two years constant problems and issues. Right now I have been waiting over 40 minutes to look at a low tire that's brand new from here. I asked them in February to look at this same tire they said nothing was wrong. Yet it continues to be low . Plus had a lot of work now this summer . The lights are now blinking. The customer service and mechanics quality of car has gone down the last two years. I won't be coming back anymore. This is last straw. read more

Place is a scam, said $19.95 total (taxes and all) over the phone. Took them 4 hours to repair the tire and didn't even put it on my car, the threw it in the trunk. This is the second time going to Firestone and not receiving a oil change. The first time I was told they were completely book ( mind you there are no customers inside or parked outside). Now I made a reservation, the excuse is someone ( an employee that failed to do their job ) didn't confirm my reservation. This is the reason I made a reservation to not have problems. But the guy was fast to assure me that they could fit me in tomorrow ( probably to not get a oil change per usual). If I could I would rate a zero, will not recommend going, unless you like wasting your time. Thanks to the jiffy lube down the street, my oil has been changed! And the employees actually care! read more

I went in for a nail in tire. Man told me it would take 1 1/2 hrs. I left vehicle and walked home, and called back an hour n 40 min later. The boss said I was next on lift. I gave them another hour, and walked back up 2 :40 after dropping off. Still where I parked it, with totally flat tire. I spoke w manager, told him their time estimates are b.s. Now pushing 3 hrs after I dropped off my jeep. I went next door to get lunch, after lunch, they finally started work on tire. Simple job, small screw in tire. The worker did a fine job fixing. My problem is they could of said they can't get to me for 3 hrs, I would 've gone somewhere else. They also could of apologized for the excessive time, and knocked off 25%. My first impression was amazing! Eddie was very helpful and explained the process very well. I needed 2 tires changed, a wheel and an alignment. As far as I can tell, the work was done great! But there was one detail that made me give them only 2 stars. I got my car back and it reeked of weed. (I do not smoke weed nor does anyone that enters my car.) It was unbearable. I had to buy a scent fogger and the smell is still not out. It is pretty embarrassing that whenever someone enters my car they asked why it smells like weed. If it wasn't for the weed smell when my car was returned, Firestone would have gotten a 5 star review. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible!!! I spent 800 dollars with them for 4 brand new tires and my tires are messed up. I just got new tires Jan 2017 and it's March 2018, why are my tires messed up??? My question exactly. I went to store to see the issue, they said it's my tires but they can't replace them. Seriously?!?!?! So now we have to go to corporate and BBB in order to get new tires that's very sad. Stay away from this place they didn't do their job and customer service is not the best at all. I won't recommend! read more

I called the store in Oak Lawn, IL. To set inquire about the warranty status on tires I bought from them back in 2010. I spoke with "Bill" who sounded annoyed by questions. I heard from other people, independently, that they all said the same about "Bill" who is known as the manager. I also heard that the local police and fire department will not go there to get they're personal vehicles serviced!!! It also seems that the employee turn over is constant! I never see the same employees working there. Probably because of "Bill"! DON'T GET CAR SERVICED THERE!!! read more
