Took my car to this Discount Tire on a Wednesday morning as a walk in to get a flat fixed. I called ahead to get an idea of potential wait times and an associate promptly answered, so they seem to be responsive here. Its quite a drive for me being down on 95th street so wanted to check before making the trek down After pulling into the parking lot, I went into the lobby area where I was quickly tended to. The associate took my name and phone number down and I was placed into an online queue that was texted to me. This link gives you a live status of your visit, including estimated service completion time (apparent its a newer system and can be inaccurate, was the case for me, seems to overestimate) After waiting about 15 mins, they called me up to ask what service im looking to do and recorded some info to set up a profile. Then sat back down to wait until my vehicle and tires could be taken a look at by the technicians, which was shortly after (wasnt too busy this morning fortunately) They seemed to be working on 4 to 5 vehicles at a time max. Ultimately the service itself took about an hour (longer than i thought), so overall i spent about 90 mins here to get my flat fixed free of charge, which im pretty satisfied with. I expected to need to wait a lot longer especially with free services being offered, which Id imagine can be the case on busier days/times of day so something to be wary of and plan for. They accept appointments as well so thats always an option Everything from arrival to servicing to leaving felt seamless - the attention, communication, and quality of service was spot on and I felt cared for during my visit (they even offered bottles of water for everyone waiting in the lobby :'). I needed to get my car tested for the 2-year State of Illinois Emission. On my way to the test, my car indicated all 4 tires required air. I immediately drove directly to Discount Tire in desperate need to have all 4 tires inflated to proper rating. Ivan was the employee that assisted me as soon as I walked into the Store. My whole experience with Discount Tire was phenomenal. I ordered four new tires for my car online and scheduled an appointment the following weekend for install. They called me when the tires were delivered to the store and then again the day before to remind me of my appointment. Made it to Discount Tire and the my got me squared away with some great all-season tires (I take the risk to not go full winter tires). I went in on Friday, 10/17/2025, for some simple tire pressure sensors and tire rotation. All my tires had lug nuts on. Today, when I went to put air in my tires, one of my lug nuts was missing . I took it to another discount shop and they told me that the stud was messed up. The threads were bad and I would need a new stud put in. The workers at this location never told me anything about it. Orders (3) 225 45 19 Cooper cobra all season tires yesterday staff told me they will be in the next morning and that they will call me when they arrive. I get the call next day that the tires are in at Approximately 9:30 am. I arrived there to for service at approximately 10:20am , the tires were not put on until approximately 4:20pm the same day (over a 5 hour wait). ATTENTION to all women (and families) considering ANY services at Discount Tire - Oak Lawn. I recently sent my wife there alone to purchase two new front tires and get a basic tire rotation. What should have been a simple transaction turned into an obvious, aggressive upsell attempt rooted in fear-mongering. My wife was told that "4 out of 5 lug nuts on EVERY tire" were supposedly rounded off and needed to be replaced. Think about that for one second. The odds of nearly every lug nut on all four wheels being rounded off -- except ONE on each wheel -- is beyond unrealistic. The moment I heard this, I told my wife ABSOLUTELY NOT. I immediately called the store and spoke with the salesman, who simply regurgitated the same scripted nonsense. When I asked him to put the original lug nuts back on, his attitude flipped instantly -- clearly annoyed that the upsell wasn't working. I then warned my wife not to fall for the pressure tactics. After I hung up, the salesman continued to push the issue, this time escalating to selling her WHEEL LOCKS ON EVERY SINGLE TIRE -- not regular lug nuts, but wheel locks. Why would ANYONE need wheel locks on all four wheels as a "solution" to rounded lug nuts? Because it wasn't a solution -- it was an upsell. This was a blatant attempt to take advantage of a customer they assumed wouldn't question it. If you're not confident calling out B.S. on the spot, DO NOT go here alone. Another nearby place told me my tires were good for 7 years when I bought them only to tell me two years later I needed new ones. Had several tire installations over the years here and Never had my wheels scratched! Last time I got charged a little more for the oversized tires on my 4Runner but was told that I get free tire balancing and tire rotations with this install. The other week I decided it's time for the rotation and went there early morning. I was 3rd in line and was signaled in immediately! After walking in they already knew who I am and asked what I needed. So they honored the agreement and checked the balancing and rotated the tires. I was told it was punctured in the "no fix" zone and the tire had to be replaced, couldn't be repaired. When I priced out the tire, discount tire had a much better price so I made an appointment. Arrived and found out my tire was, in fact, repairable. Discount Tire repaired my "no fix" tire and didn't charge me a penny!! (I didn't even buy the tire there.) I have had gotten tires from Discount Tires for years. I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. I've been to a few different locations but I have this by far is my favorite location. This particular day I was helped by Najee. There was a nail stuck in my tire and I needed it repaired. Najee was very helpful. He was very thorough when explaining things to me. Very knowledgeable! He made sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. I would definitely say I had a great experience . They got me in and out under and hour. They gave her back her keys after working on the tires, without a word on what they did to her car, & now she's missing her anti-theft washer on her tires that I had installed for her. Came here because I was having a bit of an unexpected scenario with my car tire slowly leaking air. Thankfully today was my day off but unfortunately they are closed Sunday but thankfully they were able to squeeze me in for that day just to ease my worries away a bit more. Honestly, if you just go to the website, fill out the information or scan the QR code by the front door. It'll make your complete experience a much quicker and "safer" process. After the form, an employee comes up just to double check the info. They have you wait in your car for "x" amount of time. They come by to update you. You'll drive right in to the place and you'll sit in your car the whole time as they work on your vehicle which is a completely different experience for me but I enjoy it rather than staying in the waiting room. The staff here is beyond friendly, courteous and helpful. They even chatted with me about what was up. Guess I was leaking from the valve stem and they replaced it. They even have an air tire pressure station too with waiting lines as long as trying to get through the drive thru at portillos. Overall, astonishing experience! I made an appointment two weeks ahead of time for a set of snow tires on my one year old Tesla. No doubt I was a bit nervous as this is a new vehicle and the battery is underneath the car. The service writer that I got put me a complete ease saying they had done many of these. They had me in and out in 35 minutes and that was huge from my point of you.
