UPDATE. Firestone was very responsive to my complaint. They reached out immediately and resolved…read morethe issue. Thank you @Firestone. I will add a star for their excellent response to the incident. Had this incident NOT occurred I would rate this auto center 4 stars. If they had comfortable seats, free coffee and WiFi (like the dealership) they would get 5 stars. My car rear brakes needed to be replaced and the rotors resurfaced. My dealership quoted me a price of just over 300$. I called Firestone for a comparison. On the first call I was quoted $254.84. A week later, I called to schedule the appointment and was quoted $271.54. I asked about the discrepancy, and the person stated she could not explain, but there was a 50$ coupon online. I showed up to my service appointment and the price was different. This time the excuse was that although the agent indicated in the notes that I needed the rotors cut, they did not add the additional price to the ticket. The front desk person refused to honor the quote reflected in the computer! Additionally, once I was charged for the resurfacing, the "50$ coupon" just adjusted the price to the amount I was quoted by the dealership. This means, without the "coupon," this service would have cost more than the Gerald Honda of Matteson dealership. What a crock! Long story short...Thank you Firestone for the inconsistent pricing. I will remain faithful to the Gerald Honda of Matteson dealership. Their prices are actually better and without a fake coupon. (Ha! A dealership has better pricing than an auto center...). I'm incredibly disappointed Firestone. Do Better! Get your pricing right and Honor your quotes. Oh yeah, work completed was fine. I have no frustration with the hard working auto technicians.

This review is long overdue, but I did not forget about the experience my husband and I had with…read moreMavis Tires & Brakes. My husband purchased a car battery for over $300. The battery was UNUSED, and when he attempted to return it, he was told that they do not accept returns on parts. Our biggest issue is that this policy was never disclosed to him at the the time of purchase. We could not find it stated on the receipt, and there were no signs in the store informing customers that parts could not be return. When my husband asked to speak with the manager, the person assisting him stated that she was the manager-and she was also the person who originally sold him the battery. My husband asked a very reasonable question: Why wasn't he told at the time of purchase that a $300+ battery could not be returned? In my opinion, that is extremely poor customer service and management. When a customer is spending more than $300 on an item, a no-return policy should be clearly disclosed BEFORE the purchase is completed, especially if the item is unused. Unfortunately, our experience with corporate customer service was no better. We were extremely disappointed with how the entire situation was handled. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this LOCATION. I would suggest taking your business somewhere that clearly communicates its policies and makes customer service a priority.

Boltz Automotive read my post and reached out to me letting me know what time and day they would be available to look at my vehicle and do a diagnostic on my vehicle for $150 and let me know exactly what work needed to be done and the $150 would go towards the repairs if I decided to have service completed through them. I would say within 24 hours of making the appointment for the diagnostic to be performed on my car and actually bringing it into the shop to be serviced. My car was complete and ready to drive again. I am very satisfied with the work that was performed on my vehicle. I should've recorded the officer who locked me in the back of his squad car to help me "stay warm" but didn't respect my wishes to let me out and try to drive the car and didn't listen to my parents who were on the phone with me during all of this . The manager pulled off with the car as soon as they brought it up . Without my permission, as well as his "employee" who was African American and didn't have no say in anything witnessEd it all but as soon as we pulled up there . The employee was on another call and drove off while we were pulling in very guilty huh? So here we go with the disrespectful , lying , money hungry , goofy manager. He kept lying saying that I said one thing when I told him to his face "IM NOT MAKING A DECISION TILL MY MOM AND SISTER IS HERE". Gladly my mother walked in and talked things out with them because they know what they did to me her son . So with this also being connected to Park Forest police who tries to use people's accidents or people being stuck in a ditch. To their advantage so they can meet their "buisness" quota , and or make there police buddies look good as well for putting people into their money trap . Luckily me and my family was able to get the car out of that piece of shit ass yard. And gladly they didn't get reported to the news for the actions that I went through on MLK day . With Park Forest Police as well as Coys towing place . They prey on people who get into accidents on the backroads . should've just left myself in the car and waited on my insurance to pull up . But police are supposed to respect your wishes and help right ? Not help themshelves and their crooked ways of thinking. But God don't like ugly so in due time what goes around comes back around . God Bless and have a good rest of your year :)

After several days with limited communication, we were told that diagnostic testing identified a coolant sensor issue as the cause. Based on that explanation, we approved the recommended repairs. On February 3, we were informed the vehicle was fixed and ready for pickup. We paid $1,180.55 before receiving the keys. However, immediately upon starting the vehicle in the dealership lot, it continued shuddering and shut off. The tire warning light we were told had been repaired was still on. We had to leave the vehicle as it was inoperable. The following day, we were told by the service manager that a full inspection had not initially been completed. Shortly after, the diagnosis changed to a transmission issue with an $8,000 replacement quote. The invoice indicates that no post-repair road test was performed before the vehicle was released to us as "repaired." The original issue was not resolved, and the vehicle remains inoperable. We encourage others to ask detailed questions, request written confirmation of repairs performed, and confirm that a post-repair road test has been completed before paying and leaving the lot. We feel completely scammed by this dealership! Stay away.

Today, when I came in to use one of those oil changes, I was told there is no record of it in their system. This situation makes me feel completely misled and undervalued as a customer. Promises made during a sale should be documented and honored regardless of staffing changes.
