GET YOUR SWEAT ON AT F45!…read more F45 has a great mix of cardio and resistance workouts. Each workout is a different combination of 45 minute workouts. Sometimes it's 2 laps around the room, sometimes the workouts are broken into pods. Sometimes it's 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds of rest and other times you'll do "supersets" of 60 seconds in a row. They have all the classic workouts: push ups, Romanian deadlifts, Russian twists, squats, crunches, dumbbell curls, box jumps, and so much more! I've been coming to F45 for over a year now and it has done wonders. I am so much stronger and can really see the gains. The music definitely helps you get pumped up. However, it can be a bit loud. They even have a live DJ perform at the Saturday morning classes. The coaches are extremely friendly and helpful. I've learned a lot about the correct form to get the best results from the coaches. 5 Star Team for sure!

I recently joined Mountainside Fitness and expected a time consuming sign up process with extensive…read moresales pitches to try to get me to sign up for more of a membership than I needed or could afford. I was pleasantly surprised when Bailee streamlined the process without any pressure. She also offered me free trials of membership benefits like the red light therapy and the brand new cold plunge! Bailee was so friendly and helpful in assisting me in deciding on how to proceed with my membership choices in a non committal way like I wanted. Another gentleman (I think his name was Brad) gave us a tour and was very respectful of the limited amount of time I had to spend on the tour. A great part about Mountainside fitness is that they allow 12-year-olds to join so that means my daughter can come with me! I could not find another gym in the area that allows children under 13 to attend so I was really pleased at this privilege. I also liked that all the memberships allow you to go to any location.! I'm really grateful that Bailee was there to help, being that she was so knowledgeable on the membership options and perks! P.s. I love the cold plunge!

I think this place was maybe 3 stars for me but I bumped it up to 4 as the instructor I had today…read morewas excellent. I like a nice sweaty hot vinyasa to get me out of my head and came for a class today and really enjoyed it. This studio is in Arcadia where a lot of things are but the studio itself is one room, a changing room outside the studio and a bathroom tucked in the back. Lockers available to store your items. No shower available. Yoga Box offers 3 free classes so I decided to take them up on the deal. I've been practicing yoga for about 25 years and have often tried different studios in this way. The first class was so so, but the teacher was nice and even gave me a new student welcome gift. She was a bit too eager to talk to me and I just wanted to practice and flow. The other issue was that I couldn't understand the instructions clearly as our teacher had an accent where I couldn't quite make out the instructions. But, she had a very nice playlist. What makes this place a bit annoying is that once they get your phone number, they have someone by the name of Emma that won't stop bugging you about signing up for a monthly membership. I don't mind actually buying some classes here and occasionally taking a class here and there but I was firm about not wanting a monthly membership (i already belong to 2 gyms) and this person couldn't take a hint, so that was a turn off. The thing that saves this place is I took a very good class with Debbie today. She gave excellent instruction, got us all sweaty and loved her Hawaii playlist. Ukulele is the way to my heart. Overall, it was an ok studio, give a try as they do give you 3 free classes and decide for yourself if you want to keep coming here.

in august 27th, 2024 i had knee replacement surgery. after i completed physical therapy at osr,…read more per my orthopedic surgeon, i signed up for additional physical therapy at vasa.with an employee named brandon, for what i was told was a 4 month period only. the pt was scheduled with a physical therapist, also named brandon, at vasa fitness located on the swc of 32nd street and thunderbird road. the time frame was significant because i was scheduled for my second knee replacement in january 28th, 2025. therefore, i would be unable to continue physical therapy, until recovery to the point of complettion of the orthopedic surgeon's recommended physical therapy required at osr; and then i would probably re-sign if i couldn't continue on my own with what i had learned after the second recovery period. our conversation was important, because he (brandon, sales) knew that i lost my job that october of 2024 due to timing at work and had no income. the printer at the gym didn't work that day, so i couldn't get a copy of the contract we agreed to. he told me he would e-mail it to me. he never did. i asked for it more than once. at the time of contract, i told him the printed copy was important and he promised that he would e-mail it. ultimately, i never received the copy. i had vascular complications and had to go to arizona pain to continue medication to sleep. i am still under a few doctor's care at iya medical for procedures to help with the vascular issues. subsequently, i had the vasa finance department withdraw two payments of $320 or $340 each month out of my account. i believe, prior, that i made a few $80 or $160 (every two week payments), in good faith, as i tried to resolve the financial issue or misunderstanding. i spoke to brandon, sales about what was happening, after payments were made; which, in my view, incorrectly so and asked for the payments to be refunded. he told me it was too late he couldn't do anything about the contract. yet, he saw the surgical scar on my left leg and knew i was on oxycodon... he knew i did not want more than the 4 months treatment contracted for at the time i signed the contract and he assured me there was no problem. i love that gym and was so disappointed. i knew by the look on his face when i told him that he committed fraud and that i would turn him in, he knew and didn't care, which is why i never received a copy of the contract. i told him i was going to turn him in and tried at the time. i live alone and had no help... (it was just too much, until today with this e-mail. i am still very emotional and feel somewhat defeated overall). this was not suppose to happen. i was to remain grateful for my efforts at recovery and the gym that i love. i am disappointed and sad about the lack of integrity of brandon, sales. loved the gym hated the dishonesty of the sales associate brandon.

VASA ENDORSES HARASSMENT I canceled my membership at the…read moreVasa location at Ray & Alma School because I was harassed by an older man while working with my personal trainer. He became angry because I was using a machine "too long" during my workout (20 min for 4 sets on hip thrust, 2 other machines were available). This man followed me around the gym for the rest of my hour-long training session staring at me attempting to intimidate me. I reported this unacceptable behavior to gym management, and they endorsed his actions. My trainer was written up for allowing me to use the equipment "too long", and the individual who harassed me is still allowed to use the facilities. I no longer feel safe working out at Vasa, and I am outraged that no action was taken to address my concerns. This is not a safe place for women to work out.

From the free, very involved assessment Steve and Evelina gave me before I even started with Sommet to evaluate my needs, to the exercises that were chosen to help me achieve my goals, I am extremely happy with the results I've attained. Evelina has been the most wonderful instructor, adjusting the exercises to work with my style of learning and my body's idiosyncrasies, explaining what each exercise does for each part of my body, working on keeping me in proper form, to being a cheerleader to help me progress. Thank you Eveline you are an amazing instructor and are just wonderful. Steve even posts a multitude of Pilates videos that you can watch for free, which I really have been taking advantage of! Thanks Steve! I decided to sign up for personal one on one 1 hour sessions to learn how to do the Pilates exercises properly to get the most benefit. It has been so worth it!
