Tuna Poke Bowl
Becca W.

This is one of the best seafood restaurants in Birmingham. Their food is always fresh and tasty. During my last visit, I got the tuna poke bowl and it was delightful. I love the complimentary bread, it's served fresh out of the oven and covered in Parmesan. The service is friendly and hospitable. My server made sure my water was always full and she frequently refreshed my wine. The space is on the smaller side but there is plenty of seating. It feels welcoming and cozy with lots of paintings covering the walls. Highly recommend!

Bisque Of The Day

So I must say that I did not enjoy the lobster bisque. I did send it back. It was salty and did not have that bisque cream taste., However my partner thought it was salty, but it was able to enjoy it .. Then it seemed like it took a long time our food, but oh my God when the food came, it was well worth the wait. our waitress Julia was very gracious and kind and was able to accommodate all our needs . Everything was delicious from the bread to my beautiful lobster and filet mignon and I had a pasta dish with spinach and shrimp and beef and a cream sauce. I mean I was impressed with the food. It was awesome . ambience was really nice. Brick walls bar was really crowded so people look like they enjoy that space and are regularly there ..very small space and effective .. food was excellent. It made up for time lapse and the lobster bisque .. excellent

Finally writing a review for the best seafood place in Birmingham. Great food and better service. Been coming here every 2 months or so for years. The amazing service (including Jordan) is the reason we return. The staff actually remembers our preferences for drinks and food despite the fact that it's months between our visits.

Panko crusted chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli

I can't wait to return! I wanted fresh seafood for my birthday dinner and Streetside Seafood did not disappoint. The complementary bread was served buttery and coated with Parmesan. Our appetizers were outstanding --the oysters (4) were fresh, savory and the perfect blend of cheese, spinach and bacon. The crabcakea were pure crab, no added fluff or bread crumbs--just as they should be! The entrees are portioned well--a full plate of food, so much that we took to-go bags home. My lobster tail was gigantic and cooked perfectly. The paired vegetables were delightful as well, particularly the roasted potatoes. I sampled the Panko crusted chicken and I would be open to ordering this if I was not in a seafood mood--but the seafood was such a great experience, I would barely change what I order upon return. This foodie is a happy customer and new fan.

The food and atmosphere was great. They have an amazing wine list at a reasonable cost. The food was off the chart especially the claims. I was very happy with the meal and serviceS

Chris and Denise are fantastic behind the bar. They organize the crowd, serve everyone - including all of those with "regular" orders and special requests. The food is consistent and fresh. The seafood salad is delicious and a unique offering in these parts!

The service and atmosphere is great. We absolutely loved the shrimp cocktail and Oysters Rockefeller. The spicy Buffalo Shrimp is nice and very spicy. The lobster bisque is greet tons on lobster in it.

Bronzino w risotto

Dropped in On a busy Saturday night. We did buy the park in downtown for about an hour. Initially got seated at a hightop table across from the bar In a poorly lit area between the bar and dining area. Requested a seating change which they were able to accommodate. Ordered the Bronzino which came as fillets, it was nicely done was not overcooked. Tasted decent enough but the dish was pretty basic. Left this experience feeling like I could've done this at home.

Crab cakes

Overall, very solid selection. Went on a Friday evening and the place was packed and the wait about an hour...and a true hour at that. Unfortunately, the no reservations makes for a long wait. But, I will say, if you're in the mood for some really good seafood, the wait is worth it. As the first stop on our food crawl, the spicy buffalo shrimp and crab cakes were the choices for the night. And the stand out for the night was by far, the spicy buffalo shrimp with the bleu cheese dip. So much flavor. Perfectly cooked. Memorable. Please try it if you haven't. The crab cakes with tartar sauce were tasty as well. For dessert, we had the dark chocolate crème brulee with sea salt. It wasn't my favorite dessert but you could tell it was very high quality ingredients. The chocolate was rich and the sea salt definitely added dimension. The service was good. Our waiter was attentive. The place is just not very big so it seems like it's often busy and crowded. If you've never been, I definitely recommend checking it out.

Cobb Salad w/ Grilled Chicken Salad

One of my small quaint restaurants in Birmingham that I love to go to when I want grilled fish with crab topping or a tasty salad! Denise is the best bartender and I enjoy sitting at the bar and having an amazing glass of wine.

Jeff as our server was a delight! He took good care of us. We stuck around long enough that we hated to see him moving on to the room for a party celebration. We even tried to order a second meal but they had to make way for reservations! We will be back! Our food was soooo good! I had the B-Fast Sandy and one pancake. My bestie had the shrimp & grits plus three different flapjacks! The pancakes/flap jacks are huge. It's always a busy time for establishments, especially when it comes to holidays, but we repeatedly kept getting seated and "unseated" (the hostess would seat us, but then take us back to common area as the tables were either dirty or not ready). I didn't personally care about this, but I definitely noticed my party getting a bit frustrated by the experience as it happened about 4 times before we officially got seated, which also exceeded our initial reservation time. The service itself was okay. I wish they would've come around a bit more as we were out of water while eating our meal, but I know it was super busy that day!! I ended up getting the soft shell crab sandwich and it was pretty good! I think it would be even tastier with more sauce on the bun, but overall a nice pick. I also tried the lobster bisque; it had a nice texture with the little lobster bits, but found it overly salty. Hush puppies were a nice, crispy texture and I loved the sweet butter with it! One thing I absolutely loved about this experience was the mother's day flower pop-up stand! The cutest way to walk in and support another local business.

We were promptly seated just after the happy hour began and there were some tables taken up already. Service was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. We ordered the ribs, fried chicken bites, and then each of the happy hour sushi rolls. The stars of the show were the ribs and fried chicken. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. They weren't too sugary either, but definitely had some sweet to them. I'm not a huge rib guy, but these were special. The fried chicken was equally delicious. It came with a sauce that was very good too. Would go back just for those two items. The sushi was good, but not the best I've had. My favorite was probably the shrimp tempura roll. Spicy tuna roll was pretty good as well. Because of how good the ribs/chicken were, this gets a 5 star. The happy hour pricing was very reasonable. Normal pricing a bit rough.

It really added to the whole experience. For starters, we shared the hamachi and crispy rice, both of which were fresh and delicious. For mains, we got the pork ribs and the chicken fried rice, and honestly, the fried rice was a highlight. The panko-crusted chicken pieces in it were such a clever touch. The ribs could use additional flavor (think more ginger-soy). I also loved the cucumber mocktail, which was so refreshing and a great option if you're not drinking. Definitely a place to come with your friends after a long week or day of work to enjoy the happy hour specials! The menu has many food and drink specials from 3-6:30pm. I've never been disappointed! I inquired about a drink another guest had, and the server said it was a mocktail that had white peach, strawberry, and coconut. I was disappointed because I have a coconut allergy, but the server immediately offered to bring me one without coconut. Appetizers were set on the banquet tables, and we could help ourselves. The shrimp were MASSIVE and they also had raw oysters served with them. They offered multiple sauces on the side for them. They also had dishes with cured meats, cubed cheese, and grape on the table. The dinner was served buffet style. All of the food was hot in the serving dishes. I was able to sample each of the offerings: Mediterranean crunch salad, sweet and spicy calamari, roasted vegetables, roasted potatoes, vodka rigatoni, Alfredo rigatoni, grilled chicken, salmon, and filet mignon. I am not personally a big fan of pasta or red sauce, but the spicy vodka rigatoni was AMAZING. the Alfredo rigatoni and roasted potatoes were also great. I do think that the roasted vegetables would have benefited from some seasonings, and the salmon could have used a sauce or additional seasonings. The grilled chicken was personallyt favorite protein. The filet mignon did have some pink in the middle, but it was still a bit on the dry side. During dessert they brought out trays of mini desserts to each table. At this time the server who had taken my drink order hours early came to my table and brought me a giant portion of mango sorbet. He told me that he didn't know if I could eat any of the desserts, so he verified that the mango sorbet did not have any coconut in it and brought some for me. It was so nice!!! He remembered a comment I had made hours earlier, and unprompted brought my own allergy free dessert. I wish I had gotten his name! It really made my night. I will definitely be back in the future! The lighting was intimate , the service was spectacular, and the spicy rigatoni was great.
