This place gets so busy. We got the pizza, wings and wedges family meal. It was enough for 3-4 people. It gets busy fast but you don't wait long for your food. The drinks are self service. The salad bar has great selections. Staff are friendly too and it's not noisy at all either considering it's a pizza spot. Pizza is full of flavor but feel like the toppings should have been a little more. We got pepperoni and jalapeño and I feel like it needed more jalapeños. Wings were pretty good and very crispy too. Went in on Sunday around 12pm ordered pizza for the family but was told by the girl taking our order we could not get a pitcher of beer because the guy that was there did not want to serve us beer. Then was told @2pm there would be someone who could serve us beer, comes 2:10 yet they dont know where that person is and could still not serve us a pitcher but yet could sale us bottle beer. We always get a pepperoni pizza and a combo pizza. We've also tried the BBQ pizza and it's great too. Plus, we get the buffalo wings and potato wedges. One bite every one knows the rules, Had a chance to come by here and try out straw pizza today. Upon arrival I was greeted and seen that they have some deals on pizzas drinks and sides. Myself and my wife got the couples deal which was ANY pizza 3 bread twists and a custom pizza and 2 drinks for $25. The pizza was 10 slices for it being a medium which I thought was a good deal. We got half pepperoni and pineapple and half garlicky chicken substitute red sauce instead of the white. The pizza arrived and as I ate it I couldn't help but be impressed by the crust and cheese. The crust was pretty thin and crispy had a great taste and the cheese as well tasted great and had a good pull to it. All in all I give it a solid 8 out of 10. The sauce I felt could of been better but was a great pizza and would definitely recommend the garlicky chicken to any garlic lover. The chicken tasted fresh and full of flavor. The bread twists were jalapeño and cheese which didn't have much cheese but like the pizza crust was crispy and had a great taste to it 6 out of 10 for the twists. All in all I feel like this establishment has great food to offer. The environment was set up nice and will be back for football season because there is multiple TVs set up for viewing. read more

DO NOT ORDER THROUGH HERE FOR EITHER GRUB HUB OR DOOR DASH!!!! DO NOT TRUST THE MENU LINK THROUGH HERE EITHER! I ordered for pick up using the grub hub link and got the email notification that if anything was wrong or was needed for the order that grub hub would reach out. Well that didn't happen. I went and picked it up and when I got home there was one meal missing. I called straw hat thinking it just didn't get packaged but instead they told me they no longer carry that item and that it's no longer on the menu and that the menu needed to be updated. Not once did I receive any kind of communication regarding this. All they said was that their menu wasn't updated through the link that I ordered from which was directly from yelp to grub hub. They couldn't even tell me if I'd be getting a refund for it. After having to go and get a different meal for my kid (meanwhile the straw hat food was sitting at home getting cold cause I couldn't sit there eating while my child didn't have a meal), I finally called grub hub and they couldn't do much on their end since they said they couldn't access it since it wasn't a direct link. The restaurant couldn't do anything, and grub hub couldn't do anything. I've always trusted yelp and grub hub but after the response tonight I will no longer be using either one's ordering service or trusting links through yelp. read more

I new since this place was new it would be a little slow like most places are when they first open. The cashier told me it was at least a 45-1 hour wait. I got a plate for the salad bar while we waited. The staff was overwhelmed but still stayed on their toes. I had never been to a Straw Hat Pizza before. I had big expectations. I wasn't all that impressed. First off, there were things I did like about it. The salad bar was great! One of the best ones that I have been to in quite a while. I just would like to have the option of a limitless salad bar and not just the one trip option. There was many selections to choose from to build your salad. That's a big plus for me. They need to change the Coca-Cola fountain machine to the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. The options there are always good to have with pizza. I liked that they had an actual bar. I could see coming in for food and drinks here. The place has a good feeling to it. A nice atmosphere I guess you could say. Definitely had a family friendly feeling too. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would just have to say that the pizza itself was a bit underwhelming. It looked really good. It just was lacking some flavor. I couldn't tell if the pizza needed more sauce or if the pizza dough itself was just dry. If I go back, I definitely would ask for extra sauce on my pizza. I just wasn't feeling the wings. Something about the texture of them that just wasn't working for me. Finally visited this spot near our home and we were pleasantly surprised with nearly everything. I think the mojo potatoes were probably the best I've ever had. The buffalo wings were very good and the pizza reminded me of Pizzaville, which I like very much. The bartender was so fun and animated. We didn't order drinks but we came with four tween age girls and she played with them and interacted with most all of the customers. The only reason for the four star rating was when we arrived we waited about five minutes to order. There was a big guy coming and going from the area where you order but he never addressed us. Once the young girl arrived who actually did take our order, he just stood there, kind of directing her which was obviously a little annoying for her, and awkward for us. If he was a manager training someone, he should have acknowledged us and let us know rather than having us stand there for five minutes wondering what to do, lol.
