Not worth the money, in my opinion. Place was nice but the servings for both food and drinks were pathetic considering the price!

Planet Grapes is located at Shangri-La Plaza. It's interior is really nice and modern. You order your food on these tablets which is cool. I got a glass of their Paco Garcia red wine from Spain, it tasted pretty good and had great flavor to it. You can order the amount of alcohol you want to, I forgot the exact sizes but it was something like a sip, half glass, full glass or whole bottle. The was pretty cool since they don't really offer those options in the U.S. It makes it convenient if you want to go wine tasting and try out several options. For my meal, I ordered the Zucchini Penne Telephono Pasta. It tasted just alright. My uncle ordered the Fish and Chips and he enjoyed his food. Maybe next time I come back I'll just order a few wines and a cheese board. Great place to get your wine fix in the Philippines!

They have each of these wines in a chiller, tapped and ready to pour if you only want a glass. I was also disappointed they didn't have wine flights. As for food, the gambas and chorizo is really good. The lemongrass and gochujang chicken inasal was delicious. The ribs were too sweet for my taste. The ambiance is relaxing, and a good place to go to unwind. Beware that if you sit next to the kitchen, you can smell the smoke coming out from there.

The lighting is soft, and dramatic, and has the power to invoke both glamor and chill. Everybody just looks good. Now, imagine suddenly being in it, sipping that nice tall glass of bubbly while conversing with your favorite people. This in fact was how I had celebrated my birthday recently and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It is actually a small place with only around 6 tables inside. Their wine selection is extensive enough and of course mostly French, except for the sparkling wines because according to the sommelier, those usually come from Italy. Their prices range from the frighteningly cheap to the threateningly steep, so it's really up to you if you feel like playing el cheapo or mister spender. Also, the deli serves an assortment of baguettes, patés cold cuts and cheeses, albeit limited. You are welcome to put something together to have with your wine, which is exciting for me, but if that's not your thing, there is also a menu of sandwiches and small plates. Also, the pastries and macaroons are something worth sinking your teeth into. It is open 'til the wee hours of the morning which makes me fall in love even more.

They serve as Hotel Rembrandt's bakery and café if I'm not mistaken. Unlike in Cebu, they don't have the alfresco area here in Manila. La Vie Parisienne here is smaller and in an enclosed area. They have nooks surrounded by wine shelves. It's not a bad thing. It feels quite cozy and it is COLD. I almost froze because I came in wearing a short dress. I came here to try their wine. I was expecting a broader selection. I was looking for malbecs or more varieties of merlot and cabernet. I was quite disappointed. They don't really have a lot of choices for the in betweens - it was either really cheap or really expensive. I can't complain though. The prices are really reasonable. My friend and I spent only PHP 1000 for a bottle of wine and two slices of dessert. Good place to bring a date - when you feel like having something fancy but don't want to spend too much. Great value for money. It's worth trying.

The atmosphere is definitely a vibe--chill and social. Music starts up later in the evening (around 9 PM, I believe), which helps transition the mood as night falls. We visited fairly early and enjoyed the shift when the music began. However, one interaction notably dampened the experience. A brief, joking conversation with a bouncer took an unexpectedly dark turn. When I lightheartedly asked if anyone had ever tripped on the spiral staircase, he replied, "Only if I throw them off." Joking or not, for someone responsible for patron safety, this felt in poor taste and sounds like he wants to look or sound intimidating. It's a remark that unfortunately sticks with you. And it was of bad taste. Overall, Z Roof Deck has much to offer in terms of views and ambiance, but attention to staff training and customer interaction would elevate it from a good spot to a great one. 2 star from poor choice of words from the security at the roof deck. Interiors are beautiful and cozy. The leather chairs, central bar, and decor take you to another world where you can enjoy your classic cocktail, scotch, or wine in utter opulence. The staff are always efficient and helpful when serving and suggesting drinks if you are feeling a little adventurous. Try the Negroni 1919 or the Espresso Martini. Good selection of wines too and a decent repertoire of Single Malts (for a price!). Bar chow is available too if you feel like you need more than the refillable snacks they serve you. It's also the perfect place to have an intimate conversation or a casual meeting. Cigar smokers and smokers alike will enjoy the fact that you can smoke here (sorry non-smokers!). Price points are expensive compared to your average bars or speakeasies but you're at The Peninsula after all. The overall feel is nostalgic, classic, and definitely for those who enjoy high quality cocktails and drinks in a place that makes you feel like you're transported to a bar in Cuba with different world music playing in the background.

The crowd was a perfect mix: locals in hoodies and sneakers, some foreigners vibing, everyone just there to lose themselves in the music. Caught this killer hip-hop/trap set that had the whole place moving without feeling forced or pretentious like a lot of BGC spots. Slipped upstairs to Mao Den for a bit--smaller room, tighter sound, killer cocktails--and it felt like its own little secret world. Left at 4am sweaty, happy, and already planning the next one. If you want real underground Manila nights without the dress code drama, this place is still unbeatable. 5 stars every time.

What I also like about it is the view of Manila at night that you'll get to enjoy because they're located at the rooftop of a semi-high rise building. In Metro Manila, you won't get to see that much stars at night, as what people say, it's because it's polluted. What makes up for it is the busy street and night lights that you'll only get to see if you're on top of a building or a helicopter. The only problem with fine dining at night is that you don't get to see your food under good lighting and get to instagram it. They do have mini lamps that you can use to see better when eating. Just ask the waiters. What I also enjoyed in this place is their food. It's mostly pica-picas (did you read that in Pikachu's voice because I did) but they also offer meal sets. I'm in love with their calamares and fries. What added oomf to their food is their dips. It's so flavorful and it complements the crunchy texture so well. The place has two sides. One is for the bar with the loud thumpin' music and the other side is for fine dining.
