Jerk Shrimp......Will Never Get EVER again I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my food purchase for this restaurant.

Jerk Shrimp......Will Never Get EVER again I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my food purchase for this restaurant. I recently ordered their large size Jerk Shrimp (which was an extra $2) and this is what I received...eleven of the smallest shrimp and enough rice to last a week. They will not ever get another dollar of my money. I can't believe this is what they charge $18 for....so, be forewarned...I wish I was!!

No thank you. Picked up some oxtail and it smelled and looked great. However the only words I can think of to describe my meal is chewy and bland. The meat was chewy, the rice didn't have a taste, and neither did the cabbage. Figured I would try this place because Judys has been a little inconsistent, but I'd rather take my chances there. I would not RECOMMEND, and I will not be eating here again.

Caribbean Dynasty Restaurant & Lounge - Baltimore…read more I stopped by Caribbean Dynasty for a lunchtime bite, and the owner was pleasant. The restaurant is easy to find, with close-by paid parking. I tried the sample plate with curry chicken, white rice, and cabbage. The curry chicken was flavorful and tender -- truly delicious! The cabbage was seasoned just right, adding that authentic Caribbean touch. I was a little surprised to receive white rice instead of rice & peas (which I usually expect with Caribbean dishes), so that was a little disappointing. I was expecting $18 value platter but received a ($15) value platter. It appears it may come alive at night -- with a DJ, happy hour specials, and a lounge vibe. Overall, Caribbean Dynasty offers great flavors, friendly service for a grab a go lunch order .

We are not native to Maryland but was Hungary after the R&B event on the Water. The Restaurant was not crowded when we arrived but had to wait over an hour for our food. Our order was simple. We had 3 order of Wingettes (Lemon Pepper, Honey Lemon Pepper, Thai Chili & Old Bay), Rice & Beans, Chicken Pattie and Coco Bread. Only Wingettes worth the time was the normal Lemon Pepper. They were Fried & seasoned perfectly. They also were a decent size. The other Wingettes were overcooked and lacking flavor. Maybe they looked so small because of how overcooked they were. We waited too long to send them back and risk waiting another hour!!! I've had some delicious Honey Lemon Pepper and this had no semblance of it. I tasted some Honey & it was from the plate and not the wingette. The Rice & Beans was dry. The Chicken patty was overcooked. Never saw a burnt one in a Restaurant or at least not served to someone. We wasn't drunk enough to enjoy the food. (I don't drink so... was not working for me ). The Coco Bread was good (probably because they didn't have to cook it). The worse part is we waited over an hour!!! Yes the Waiter was apologetic but it was NOT worth the wait. What a terrible representation of a business. I can't understand a bad night when this is what you do for a living. Just was not good. It's the worst restaurant I've been to. I do not recommend.

The flavors were bold, perfectly seasoned, and just overall chef's kiss. The Brussels sprouts especially stood out--I'm already thinking about going back just for those alone! I also tried a beef patty, which was really good and a nice addition to the meal. Everything was so good that I'm already planning my next visit. I've got my eye on the Rasta pasta next time!

On arrival, I was confused where the host stand was, so I meandered until someone spoke to me. There was a brief wait before I was seated, then after checking the menu one last time, I did go with the Jerk Mushrooms. As I waited, I looked at the space I was in, which I'd been in before many times when it was Corks. Didn't seem like much had changed. There was a long wait for the food - so long, some rando checked on me. Another 20 mins after that I received the entree. Overall, it was pretty good but not what I thought it would be. The mushrooms were sliced up into slivers, but the dish was flavorful and well prepared. I especially loved the plantains. OK visit, but I will likely do carryout in the future.

The restaurant is so cute with the decor and the music transported me back to Jamaica. As my coworkers I were seated, we were immediately greeted. Service was great and our waitress was super patient. We ordered most of our food and drinks from the HH menu and the. ordered entrees. For drinks, i had the 'Oh My Lychee' Martini and my coworkers had the Hibiscus Margaritas. From the HH menu, We ordered the salmon bites, grilled jerk wings, and jam jam shrimp. We left no stone unturned. The drinks were strong and refreshing, food was hot and amazing and the music was excellent-vibes were there. For entrees, we ordered jerk chicken and oxtails with coco bread. By the time the entrees came, we were stuffed. It was a great experience. Every time I'm in white marsh for work, I stop by. It's so worth it!

Taste of the oxtails and sauce was very flavorful and had a small kick. The sauce went will with the rice too. Coming from an Asian background and someone who has eaten oxtail in different styles I approve this dish. I just wish oxtail portions were a bit more for the price being charged. Fair warning this dish was a bit pricey ($41 after tax), and many things in the restaurant are on the higher end. If you've never tried oxtail or are looking for a unique dish I highly recommend trying this place. Also as a non-Maryland resident this place was definitely a bit of a culture shock for me, so just a heads up for those who are not used to being at these kind of areas to be aware, maybe come with a friend. Overall 8.5/10

1 Star -- Very Disappointing Experience…read more My boyfriend and I came to Jerk at Nite with another couple for a double date after attending an R&B on the Water event at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. We were genuinely excited to come here. We had seen the restaurant all over TikTok, read the great reviews, loved the atmosphere we saw online, and were really looking forward to finally trying the food. This was also a rare night out for me without my kids, so this was supposed to be a special evening. Unfortunately, the experience at Jerk at Nite completely ruined the night for us. We had a 10:00 PM reservation for four and arrived around 9:45 PM on Saturday, August 15th. There was already a line when we arrived. I went to the host stand simply to ask to use the restroom and was asked whether I had a reservation. I confirmed that I did and gave the last name on the reservation. I was initially being seated, but then a manager came over and redirected everyone. I was eventually directed through the speakeasy entrance to use the restroom. When I came back out, my boyfriend needed to use the restroom as well, and he was directed somewhere else. After all of that, we were STILL standing in line. Despite having a 10:00 PM reservation, we weren't actually seated until around 10:15 PM. Once we were finally seated, it took another 5-10 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink orders. Then it took approximately 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Two of the drinks were fountain drinks, so there really wasn't any reason for that kind of wait. One of the alcoholic drinks was apparently made incorrectly and had to be comped, and another drink was so bad that my friend didn't even finish it. My boyfriend ordered tacos, which came out relatively quickly--about 20 minutes after we sat down--because I assume they were considered an appetizer. However, since that was his actual meal, he ended up sitting there waiting for the rest of us for another 20+ minutes before he even started eating. Then came the biggest issue: our food. We waited approximately an hour after ordering and still had not received our meals. At that point, we asked to speak to a manager. The manager came over and told us he would go check on our order. We waited another 15 minutes with no food and no update. At that point, it was getting close to 11:30 PM. I asked to speak to the manager again and told him that, at this point, we didn't even want to eat there anymore. I asked them to simply box everything up because we wanted to leave. Almost immediately after that conversation, our food finally came out. At that point, I didn't even want to sit there and eat. I told our server, "We just want boxes." We boxed everything up and prepared to leave. Then we waited another roughly 10 minutes just to be cashed out. What made the entire situation even more frustrating was watching people who arrived after us get seated and receive their food while we were still waiting on ours--despite having a reservation. And after all of this? We were charged full price. No meaningful accommodation. No adjustment to the bill. No real effort to make up for the fact that we had spent nearly two hours there and were ultimately taking our food home because we were tired of waiting. I understand that Saturday nights can be extremely busy. I understand that restaurants can get slammed and things can go wrong. What I don't understand is how a party with a reservation can arrive early, be seated late, wait an unreasonable amount of time for drinks, wait over an hour for food, repeatedly have to ask for updates, and ultimately leave with our food in boxes--while still being expected to pay the full bill. The atmosphere and concept are definitely appealing, and that's part of why we chose Jerk at Nite in the first place. But the service and overall experience did not match the expectations created by the restaurant's reputation, social media presence, or reviews. This was supposed to be a fun double date and a rare night out for me. Instead, we spent most of the night waiting. I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not return or recommend Jerk at Nite for a special occasion or date night. Reservations should mean something, and customers should not have to repeatedly chase down staff and management just to find out where their food is. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because there is clearly potential here. But our experience on August 15th was simply unacceptable.

The line was out the door--even with a reservation, we had to stand outside in the cold. And I'm anemic, so standing out there shivering felt like punishment (at this point, I'm basically an ice sculpture by the door). When we finally got seated, they put us at the table right by the entrance--every time that door opened, a breeze hit me like a slap from Elsa herself . The bar was packed too, which sucked because I would've loved to sit there with my partner and vibe. It was clear they were super short-staffed. No waitress ever came to our table--we had to scan a QR code, order through our phones, and even pay before the food came. Felt more like a fast-casual spot than a nice dinner date. Our drinks took forever and when they finally arrived, they were watered down and weak. By that point we were ready to go, but since we already paid through the mobile menu, we were stuck. It took about 45 more minutes to get our food. By now I couldn't even feel my fingers or toes. But when that food hit the table? Whewww... it slapped ‍ Everything we ordered was chef's kiss. My partner and I both agreed the food was the one saving grace of the entire experience. It was flavorful, fresh, and worth the hype. Just wish we could've actually enjoyed it. We spent a good amount of money and left feeling like we would've been better off just DoorDashing it and eating at home with some Netflix. My partner, who never complains, was genuinely upset about the lack of a server. And I get it--dining out is supposed to be an experience, not just a transaction. So overall... this is a mixed review. Food? 5 stars, no doubt. Experience? 1 star, and I'm being generous. I'll probably try them again on a super slow day (whenever that is), but as far as this visit goes, I'm leaving a 3-star rating--and that's only because the food was so good.
