Konoko was an absolutely amazing dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful -- well lit, clean, mellow music, and the décor and artistic design are truly next level. The service was top tier. Sasha Fierce, Cecil, and Herb were phenomenal and made the entire experience even better. As a fellow Jamaican, finding authentic food that truly tastes like home can feel like finding a diamond in the rough, and Konoko delivered. I had the oxtails with rice and peas, steamed cabbage, and sweet plantains, and every bite was incredible. My friend had the curry shrimp with rice, and the ginger beer cocktail was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. It was 100% worth the trip from Virginia Beach, and we will absolutely be back. A true hidden gem.

7:51 Saturday Night Tonight me and my ole ' man came to KONOKO because he likes to eat the Oxtail Rasta Pasta. He annoyed the hell outta me about the place with Good Music, black people , and those "good noodles". So I drove him up here and he made us lose our first table by changing his mind to order take out. (help me ) Anyways , we leave out and the door man dressed in all black says "Hey , are you leaving?". I told him my friend expected an upbeat experience and he assured us that the DJ was about to start playing shortly. So , we go back inside and we're taken upstairs to another table within 5 min. I never dined upstairs , I thought it was strictly for private parties. Anyways, our "flight attendant " introduced herself and welcomed us aboard a flight to Jamaica This Saturday night was really busy. Lots of birthdays and dinners. I usually come on Weekdays and sit at the bar. I ordered from the Likkle Plates menu with Signature Jerk Wings $17 and a side of cabbage $6. I wasn't that hungry... I been working out ‍. (Summer body loading btw) I really had this KONOKO Mocktail on mind....oh before I forget ... There is 18% gratuity added to ALL CHECKS . 20% gratuity for 8+ Party NO SPLIT CHECKS FOR PARTIES OVER 8+ ppl. Online and Take Out orders have extra 3% fee.

Simply amazing! The food was exceptionally good. It transported me to the islands. I've had Jamaican food but this is the pinnacle state side. The drinks were on point. Not to sweet and not overly powered by the taste of alcohol. So be careful, it'll sneak up on you . The service 10/10. I appreciate nothing more than a server so wears gloves to deliver my food especially in this climate. The bartender was great- didn't hover but still very attentive. CLEAN! They paid attention to every detail to make sure you have an amazing experience. 10/10!

My friend said we are always raving about this place and wanted to go for Sunday brunch. Really great service, attentive, patient and friendly! The live music was made it such a good vibe. It got packed in there but it was nicely managed. The food... listen... only issue I had was trying to decide which delicious dish to get! ( It was a little pricer than past visits but I truly enjoy this spot).

On 6 June 2026, I had an early dinner at Konoko Restaurant in Whitemarsh, MD--II absolutely was worth the drive (I live in Anne Arundel County). This Caribbean restaurant delivered . I started my meal with the rum punch while enjoying the DJ's music choices. Everyone was friendly and full of inviting smiles and service. I had the goat with red beans and rice, a side of cabbage, and a beef patty, and ordered the salmon bites to go. Oh my goodness the food was delicious, especially the goat! This was my second time patronizing this establishment--oh, I will be back! I had the salmon bites for dinner the next night. They were very meaty and tender.

Finally decided to dine here- didn't disappoint! The salmon bites appetizer was crunchy with the secret sauce that truly complemented it perfectly. The oxtail was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The Jam Jam shrimp entree had the perfect kick -- just the right amount of spice and coconut cream. I do think it would pair even better with rice and beans instead of mashed potatoes, but it was still enjoyable. The upstairs seating area was cozy and inviting, and the staff was attentive throughout the visit. I'll definitely recommend!

My sib and I managed to get a table late Saturday evening the eve of Mother's Day. I love the ambiance and vibe here. The restaurant plays my favorite dancehall songs. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. My sister raved about the pasta during our last visit so I decided to order it this time around. She ordered the jerk wings and shrimp curry. Our food arrived to our table in less than 15 minutes. The seafood pasta was delicious and flavorful. My sister said the wings needed to be cooked longer; the shrimp curry was good. Overall, we have a good experience. I will definitely be back.

Third time's a charm! We visited on a Saturday night to celebrate my sister's birthday. Konokos did not disappoint. There was a Dj spinning all the right tunes. Crystal was our flight attendant (waitress) and she was a vibe and attentive to our table. Cecil was the Air Marshall delivered our flight sampler and walked us through all of the cocktails. He checked in with us often and had good energy. The flight sampler was a good option for our party and there were no regrets! The food was delicious and flavorful of course. We'll definitely be back.

As always everything was 10/10 . Ask for crystal as your flight attendant. She is the best. Her recommendation never disappoints. I bought some out of town friends here and everyone enjoyed and we ordered the entire menu to try.

Orin was an amazing bartender! The drinks were delicious, and he even let us order the happy hour special right at 9 PM when it was technically over -- super generous and accommodating. He gave great feedback on the menu and made it feel like a full-service experience right at the bar. The food was excellent -- I had the braised oxtail pasta, which was so flavorful, and the Rasta Pasta was absolutely delicious. The jerk lamb chops were also a fan favorite at our table. We were so tempted to try the rum cake, but we were too full after two rounds of drinks and all that amazing food. This is the perfect spot if you're looking for great food in Baltimore that's off the beaten path from downtown. The music was also a vibe -- reggae and Caribbean tunes that really set the mood. Definitely check out Konoko if you haven't already!

Came in to take advantage of Happy Hour prior to an event and to beat traffic. That being said, it was well worth the drive. I love the decor and with Jamaica on my most frequently traveled to list, it definitely made me long to go back. The owners named the restaurant after Konoko Falls in St. Ann parish, Jamaica. There are beautiful morals around the restaurant and a lovers nock with its own falls in the HP area (under the stairs) I'll have to book that when I go back. One of the bartenders wasn't very personal and I was confused weeks that was about. I asked for the Happy Hour specials and they weren't forthcoming coming with what was in each drink so I asked for the regular menu to look at so I could see what was in the HH specials. I was given the menu but none of the HH drinks are listed on that drink menu . . . . I love the pineapple glasses the water comes in. I decided to go with the peach krush. Something great about their krush drinks are that they are made with Jamaican rum and not vodka. When I was informed of that, I knew it was my choice. I decided to pair the coconut shrimp based upon pictures from Yelp and recommendation from one of the managers. One of my Yelp homegirls went with the beef patty. The shrimp were hot, fresh, burning my mouth good, juicy, and not too overly sweet like some others typically are. I'll definitely reorder them in the future. The beef patty had depth of flavor but not texture. I didn't get to order the cocoa bread so I'll try that next time also. I asked the manager about the Harry Potter area under the stairs and that's when he obliged me with a tour and explained about the history and why it was special to the owners. I love the scriptures on the walls Philippians 4:13 is written under an airplane ready to take everyone on a flight back to Jamaica. There are plenty other food items I want to try and stuff my face with soon so I'll definitely be back.

If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food in the White Marsh area, Konoko is the spot! I ordered the oxtails with rice and peas--tender, flavorful, and falling off the bone. The rhum punch was the perfect tropical sip to pair with it, and the salmon bites? Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The vibe was welcoming, and the service was great too. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to when I'm craving that island comfort food.

I have so many good things to say about this place that it would take 10 pages to get it all out. The food was plentiful hot and tasty. I love the snapper it's just so high compare to other West Indians restaurants. My favorite item was the oxtails. And my favorite drink was the bob marly. The jerk chicken was pretty tasty as well. The seating was great and the store was clean. The service was fairly fast considering the amount of people that came. I had a great experience

Is it cold in here? I'm looking to wear a fun strap dress but would I need a jacket, or should I cover more?

The temp appears to be around 73-74 is I could give a rough estimate. So that dress should be fine.

Serving a wide range of traditional Jamaican cuisine and catering mainly to the courthouse lunch pack, the shop is run by a really friendly Jamaican lady that will walk you through the menu and show you the wares. I asked for some spicy noise to pound back the cold Bmore winds. She recommended the goat curry platter ($8.50) which came on a bed of red beans and rice with a side of steamed cabbage and a few slices of fried plantain. The goat curry was delicious. Tender hunks of goat meat served on the bone were well flavored but not spicy at all. The sauce was great and well-textured but sadly, the red beans and rice were disappointingly flavorless. It left me trying to ration my bites with sauce and meat to flavor all the rice. The fried plantains on the other hand were the best I've ever had. Slightly gummy from caramelization on the outside, tender and smooth inside, they beat any weak bananas I ate on Spanish III field trips or even in Costa Rica. I definately will give this place another go, the jerk chicken looked ridiculous. Give this place a shot, just make sure your beans and rice get sauced up good and try 'em plaintains.

My biggest pet pev is when the counter staff knows nothing about the food and can't explain the menu. I always support the local restaurants over the chain restaurants when I travel. I stopped in bully boss burgers to support the local business, and was I disappointed. The burger was good, and so were the onion rings except they were served in a reusable plastic tray without a paper liner - kind of concerning. They are a little pricy, all things considered. The menu is hard to figure out - a lot of choices - it was really unclear what came with a meal or a combo - plus the casher was no help explaining. There is a super limited selection of soda in cans or bottles. The interior was painted black with 3 high-top tables and 6 stools. They have a tv playing loud hip-hop videos, which is fine if the employees speak louder than the music on the videos - not the case - while I ate I watched 4 customers come in and half of their orders were wrong. I mentioned eating at bully boss to the local customer I was visiting, and they laughed. I rarely ever give out less than 3 stars on a review, and I do a lot of reviews. I was going to give bully boss 1 star, but I gave the 2 because the food was good.
