Seafood pasta
Cici H.

My sib and I managed to get a table late Saturday evening the eve of Mother's Day. I love the ambiance and vibe here. The restaurant plays my favorite dancehall songs. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. My sister raved about the pasta during our last visit so I decided to order it this time around. She ordered the jerk wings and shrimp curry. Our food arrived to our table in less than 15 minutes. The seafood pasta was delicious and flavorful. My sister said the wings needed to be cooked longer; the shrimp curry was good. Overall, we have a good experience. I will definitely be back.

Finally decided to dine here- didn't disappoint! The salmon bites appetizer was crunchy with the secret sauce that truly complemented it perfectly. The oxtail was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The Jam Jam shrimp entree had the perfect kick -- just the right amount of spice and coconut cream. I do think it would pair even better with rice and beans instead of mashed potatoes, but it was still enjoyable. The upstairs seating area was cozy and inviting, and the staff was attentive throughout the visit. I'll definitely recommend!

As always everything was 10/10 . Ask for crystal as your flight attendant. She is the best. Her recommendation never disappoints. I bought some out of town friends here and everyone enjoyed and we ordered the entire menu to try.

Third time's a charm! We visited on a Saturday night to celebrate my sister's birthday. Konokos did not disappoint. There was a Dj spinning all the right tunes. Crystal was our flight attendant (waitress) and she was a vibe and attentive to our table. Cecil was the Air Marshall delivered our flight sampler and walked us through all of the cocktails. He checked in with us often and had good energy. The flight sampler was a good option for our party and there were no regrets! The food was delicious and flavorful of course. We'll definitely be back.

Orin was an amazing bartender! The drinks were delicious, and he even let us order the happy hour special right at 9 PM when it was technically over -- super generous and accommodating. He gave great feedback on the menu and made it feel like a full-service experience right at the bar. The food was excellent -- I had the braised oxtail pasta, which was so flavorful, and the Rasta Pasta was absolutely delicious. The jerk lamb chops were also a fan favorite at our table. We were so tempted to try the rum cake, but we were too full after two rounds of drinks and all that amazing food. This is the perfect spot if you're looking for great food in Baltimore that's off the beaten path from downtown. The music was also a vibe -- reggae and Caribbean tunes that really set the mood. Definitely check out Konoko if you haven't already!

Came in to take advantage of Happy Hour prior to an event and to beat traffic. That being said, it was well worth the drive. I love the decor and with Jamaica on my most frequently traveled to list, it definitely made me long to go back. The owners named the restaurant after Konoko Falls in St. Ann parish, Jamaica. There are beautiful morals around the restaurant and a lovers nock with its own falls in the HP area (under the stairs) I'll have to book that when I go back. One of the bartenders wasn't very personal and I was confused weeks that was about. I asked for the Happy Hour specials and they weren't forthcoming coming with what was in each drink so I asked for the regular menu to look at so I could see what was in the HH specials. I was given the menu but none of the HH drinks are listed on that drink menu . . . . I love the pineapple glasses the water comes in. I decided to go with the peach krush. Something great about their krush drinks are that they are made with Jamaican rum and not vodka. When I was informed of that, I knew it was my choice. I decided to pair the coconut shrimp based upon pictures from Yelp and recommendation from one of the managers. One of my Yelp homegirls went with the beef patty. The shrimp were hot, fresh, burning my mouth good, juicy, and not too overly sweet like some others typically are. I'll definitely reorder them in the future. The beef patty had depth of flavor but not texture. I didn't get to order the cocoa bread so I'll try that next time also. I asked the manager about the Harry Potter area under the stairs and that's when he obliged me with a tour and explained about the history and why it was special to the owners. I love the scriptures on the walls Philippians 4:13 is written under an airplane ready to take everyone on a flight back to Jamaica. There are plenty other food items I want to try and stuff my face with soon so I'll definitely be back.

If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food in the White Marsh area, Konoko is the spot! I ordered the oxtails with rice and peas--tender, flavorful, and falling off the bone. The rhum punch was the perfect tropical sip to pair with it, and the salmon bites? Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The vibe was welcoming, and the service was great too. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to when I'm craving that island comfort food.

I have so many good things to say about this place that it would take 10 pages to get it all out. The food was plentiful hot and tasty. I love the snapper it's just so high compare to other West Indians restaurants. My favorite item was the oxtails. And my favorite drink was the bob marly. The jerk chicken was pretty tasty as well. The seating was great and the store was clean. The service was fairly fast considering the amount of people that came. I had a great experience

The service was bad and the food was mediocre. I'm sitting here at the restaurant as I type....the waiter had to be called over to get my drink order by the bar staff. Then my Rasta pasta came out and the sauce was watered down and the shrimp and chick en was over cooked. Then the waiter never checked on me nor one time! However, she checked on the two guys next to me numerous! I had to stop her enroute to her checking in them again, to demand my check. She gave me a fake smile cause she knew she was getting tipped regardless. This is not the first time the service has been bad here I'm done. The drink was the only thing pleasant.

I wish I'd known about Konoko sooner. I've been to The Avenue in Whitemarsh before and had eaten at a place I ended up giving 3 stars [face palm] when I could have just had the 5 star Konoko experience. Just standing outside of the venue, I was drawn in by the bright colors, comfortable looking seating, and delightful Carribbean tunes! I visited Konoko with a fairly large group this past Saturday, 6/14. We were seated promptly at our reservation time (the whole party didn't have to be present, thankfully) and shortly thereafter our waitress came and greeted us. This young lady was very poised and handled our group like a champ. Of course, the service came in waves. We first put in drink orders, then a bit later, our food. As a beer snob, I was SO PLEASED to find a local, higher ABV craft beer on the menu! So, I was able to have a Heavy Seas Loose Cannon with my meal (OK, I drank all of it before my meal arrived). I also ordered Ital Tofu as I was very interested in the entree's description - it sounded right up my alley. AND WAS. OMG, I dang near licked the plate. I mean, I was starving, but that's no guarantee the food will be good. The Ital Tofu dish is OFFICIAL! It was spicy and super filling. I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Konoko was able to split our checks and payment was a breeze when that time came. I will absolutely return for brunch and lunch, and if there's breakfast to be had, I'm down for that too! Until next time, Konoko.

I was really apprehensive about ordering tofu from here because restaurants don't always execute it well. However, I ate my words AND that tofu. The jerk seasoning was a little salty but with the rice, it was great. I love their cabbage carrot mix. I should have gotten another side of it. The bartender was attentive and made great drink suggestions.

Great wait staff, strong drinks, and tasty food except for the salmon bites. Went on a Saturday night and they had a DJ and the vibe was nice. The ambience is beautiful. We were a party of six and we sat on the dining side versus the bar side where tbut we were still able to enjoy the music while being able to have a conversation where we could hear one another.

Konoko Jamaican Restaurant - A Must-Try Spot for Authentic Caribbean Flavors! I had the pleasure of dining at Konoko Jamaican Restaurant to celebrate my friend's 40th birthday, and let me tell you--believe the hype! From the ambiance to the food, everything was on point. Reservations & Customer Service: For parties of 9 or more, Konoko requires a $10 deposit per person to secure the reservation. This deposit is applied to the bill at the end of your meal, but be aware that if someone doesn't show up, their deposit is forfeited. To avoid any confusion, I highly recommend reminding your server before the bill arrives to ensure it's properly applied. I had to modify my reservation multiple times, and the reservation specialist, Sandra, was incredibly responsive. When I first called, she was on another line but quickly followed up with a text and call to confirm my changes. 10/10 customer service. Ambiance & Atmosphere: Walking into Konoko, I was immediately impressed with the modern yet inviting Caribbean vibe. It's stylish, upscale, and perfect for a date night, group dinner, or celebration. * Seating: Comfortable high-top communal tables with plush barstools. * Decor: Beautiful live-edge wooden tables, a sleek bar with a wave-like wood panel backdrop, and open shelving showcasing premium spirits. * Lighting: Warm pendant lights create an intimate yet vibrant atmosphere. * Entertainment: A large flat-screen TV above the bar keeps things lively without feeling like a sports bar. Drinks: The cocktail menu is well-curated with beautiful presentations and tropical flavors. Here's what we tried: Könõkõ Rhum Punch - Strong and smooth, a great balance of flavors. Henny 75 - A great birthday drink! GingerRITA Marley - Refreshing with a tropical kick. In Konok' Old Fashioned - A smoky, Instagram-worthy experience. A friend ordered the Koko Chanel but found it too sweet with little alcohol taste. If you like strong drinks, this might not be for you! Food: Now, let's talk about what really stole the show--the food! Appetizers: * Jerk Wings - Well-seasoned, juicy, and a crowd favorite. * Ackee & Saltfish Tostones - A creative take on a classic dish. Entrées: Konoko Seafood Pasta - Generous portions and loaded with seafood. Stuffed Salmon - Creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Jammin' Jerk Lamb Chops - Perfectly charred, well-seasoned, and worth the wait. Oxtail Rasta Pasta - A rich, savory dish with the perfect spice level. The coconut rice and peas were a standout--flavorful, fragrant, and the perfect complement to every dish. Service: Our server, Crystal, was phenomenal. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. By the end of the night, she was even sharing photos of her kids--that's how personable she was! The Bill Breakdown (aka The Taxes Were Taxing) Alright, let's talk about the real MVP of the night--Maryland taxes. Food & Drinks: $563.00 Gratuity (20%): $112.60 Maryland State Tax: $22.02 Alcohol Tax: $17.64 Grand Total: $715.26 Yep, those taxes were TAXING. Make sure you're prepared when the bill comes, especially if you're ordering cocktails. Final Verdict: Delicious, authentic Jamaican food Great customer service (shoutout to Sandra & Crystal!) Beautiful ambiance with a lively yet upscale vibe Cocktails that are both strong and aesthetically pleasing Perfect for celebrations or a casual night out Price point: Expect to spend around $50-$100 per person, depending on what you order. Would I return? Absolutely! Konoko delivered an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality Jamaican cuisine in a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Just be ready for Maryland's tax system to humble you at checkout. Visited 2/15/2025

Is it cold in here? I'm looking to wear a fun strap dress but would I need a jacket, or should I cover more?

The temp appears to be around 73-74 is I could give a rough estimate. So that dress should be fine.

Do you need a reservation?

You do not need a reservation however, you can make one if you want specific seating.

Serving a wide range of traditional Jamaican cuisine and catering mainly to the courthouse lunch pack, the shop is run by a really friendly Jamaican lady that will walk you through the menu and show you the wares. I asked for some spicy noise to pound back the cold Bmore winds. She recommended the goat curry platter ($8.50) which came on a bed of red beans and rice with a side of steamed cabbage and a few slices of fried plantain. The goat curry was delicious. Tender hunks of goat meat served on the bone were well flavored but not spicy at all. The sauce was great and well-textured but sadly, the red beans and rice were disappointingly flavorless. It left me trying to ration my bites with sauce and meat to flavor all the rice. The fried plantains on the other hand were the best I've ever had. Slightly gummy from caramelization on the outside, tender and smooth inside, they beat any weak bananas I ate on Spanish III field trips or even in Costa Rica. I definately will give this place another go, the jerk chicken looked ridiculous. Give this place a shot, just make sure your beans and rice get sauced up good and try 'em plaintains.

I have been looking for an authentic Ghanaian restaurant in Baltimore for years and have finally found it. The service is amazing, the owners son is always accommodating and friendly when he answers the phone and always pleasantly greets me when I walk in. Although I'd love to be able to eat here, I'd probably need a wheel barrow to leave so account for this being a to go experience with you favorite pillow and blanket nearby for the nap you'll need. I've been here several times before writing this review because it really felt like I was going to pick up food from aunties house and forgot, WHOOPS. I always get the same thing but my husband has ventured to the Caribbean menu and has gotten oxtails the size of his palm, twice- going above and beyond is clearly they're M O. The goat is always so perfectly cooked, flavorful and more than enough to last the whole meal. They really add a new meaning to Baltimore eating for me and I'm so grateful! I always recommend calling to place your order to ensure it's available because stuff sells out due to its amazingness!

Kudos to the owner for being such a delight! I ordered jollof rice with chicken and a beef patty (of course). Both were excellent but I have to shower the jollof rice with praise. As a Nigerian American, the struggle to find good jollof is real. I have to say that this Ghanian style jollof was quite good. I won't get into a whole thing about which country has the best jollof but I enjoyed this iteration quite a bit. I highly recommend checking out KSB when you're near Parkville.

My biggest pet pev is when the counter staff knows nothing about the food and can't explain the menu. I always support the local restaurants over the chain restaurants when I travel. The burger was good, and so were the onion rings except they were served in a reusable plastic tray without a paper liner - kind of concerning. They are a little pricy, all things considered. The menu is hard to figure out - a lot of choices - it was really unclear what came with a meal or a combo - plus the casher was no help explaining. There is a super limited selection of soda in cans or bottles. The interior was painted black with 3 high-top tables and 6 stools. They have a tv playing loud hip-hop videos, which is fine if the employees speak louder than the music on the videos - not the case - while I ate I watched 4 customers come in and half of their orders were wrong. I mentioned eating at bully boss to the local customer I was visiting, and they laughed. I rarely ever give out less than 3 stars on a review, and I do a lot of reviews.
