It's not that often I give 5 stars without debating if it was just a strong 4 or a solid 5 but the experience at Konoko has me sold. I chose to have a birthday dinner here in preparation for my trip to Jamaica since it's a Jamaican restaurant. I loved the upscale ambiance and that the servers are "flight attendants." As a person that doesn't enjoy tropical fruits, it was hard to find a drink on the menu that I would enjoy but our server told us about the Top Flight, which wasn't on the menu, a drink that has Henny and liqueur (I believe it was Grand Marnier) and it was the popular drink at our table. Everyone loved it. My friend got the Koko Chanel and she loved it. Everything foodwise was a hit. My personal faves were the salmon bites and the Jammin Jerk lamb chops. The sides were great too. Even my best friend, who's Jamaican, gave the food her stamp of approval. I definitely will be back here to try brunch and happy hour. read more

Came up to the area for a Wednesday night at IKEA and Dave and Busters, the service was excellent and the food was good if a bit overpriced. Appetizers were underwhelming but the drinks and rasta pasta were quite good. The restaurant looks upscale without getting formal and the flight crew aesthetic is pretty cute, I can imagine it gets busy but it was fairly tame when we arrived. I would definitely return for a drink again but I would probably go with jerk chicken in the Rasta Pasta as the Ox Tail was a little plain compared to what I have had in the past. Brunch at Konoko is a whole vibe!! We made the trek all the way from Washington DC (area) to enjoy the food, music, ambiance, and service at Konoko. and Konoko delivered on all fronts!! We had two amazing servers, Sweet pea and Orin, who took amazing care of me and my group. We were seated in the cove, an intimate private booth, which I absolutely adored, since my reservation was for four people, however, a fifth friend decided last minute to spontaneously make the trek too, and popped up at the restaurant, and our cute booth quickly became packed, especially after a few drinks ;). But we made the best of it, and Konoko graciously accommodated us. The food was soo good!! everything bursted with flavor and deliciousness...so much so, that my friends had to repeatedly apologize to me for complaining about how I made them come all the way out to White Marsh. Shrimp and grits tasted just as good as it looked..probably THE best shrimp and grits Ive had in a very long time. The seafood pasta was amazing, and that snapper was perfectly seasoned. Everything was fantastic!! On that note: there's an option called Kitchen One Love on the dessert menu that allows guests to make a cash (only) donation to the "hands that prepared the meal". My mom treated me to lunch at Konoko. First, the decor and the ambiance was all that. I simply loved how picturesque this restaurant was. I'm always in the area but this had been my first time dining here. If the beauty of this restaurant didn't win you over, it was surely the reception you received upon entering to the service given by each "flight attendant." I could go on and on about that but I have to tell you about the food. Being West Indian (Trinidadian), I'm always in the mood to eat something Caribbean. We had a taste for everything: jerk wings, oxtail, plantain, callaloo. You name it, we ordered it. My entree consisted of curried shrimp with red beans and rice, with a cabbage medley. I drove an hour to experience this restaurant and It was worth every toll I had to pay lol. The atmosphere was very welcoming and beautifully decorated, the service from start to finish was amazing! Our waiter Otis was on point from start to finish. He gave great recommendations, he laughed and joked with us and his customer service was A1. The DJ was playing all the jams! I really didn't want to leave. Our food came out fast, from the appetizer's, drinks, to the main course we didn't have to wait more than10min. The wait staff cleaned our table every time they walked passed. My group got the oxtail with rice n peas and salad. That may have been some of the best oxtail I've had in a while. Took my daughter here for her 21st birthday. I love this area in White Marsh and although unexpected, this trendy Jamaican restaurant fit right in. The decor is very, very nice!! The hostess was nice & polite and it did not take long to be seated. Our assigned server was nice also, gave us an overview of the restaurant and some suggestions. We ordered the Salmon bites as an appetizer, they were nice sized pieces of salmon that were not overly done up in batter, nice, light and juicy. We enjoyed those. Konoko was a fun place to visit, but not sure I'll be going back. I went in with a lot of expectations based on word of mouth recommendations. The place is done up really well - loved the decor, the tropical vibes, the music etc. The staff were polite and professional. Our waiter was nice, but sometimes felt like he was on auto-pilot, repeating the same jokes and one liners with every table, asking us how things were going but not waiting for our response before moving onto the next table etc. I also didn't really get the whole theme of being in an airplane? We went for Sunday brunch and tried their apple cider and pineapple upside down mimosas. Both were good. For appetizers tried the wings and the the tostones. The wings were fall of the bone, but the flavour was just okay. The tostones with codfish was delicious. We ended up sharing the "famous braised oxtail". The jamaican gravy was good, but it was very greasy. The meat was more fat than actual protein, which personally I'm not a fan of. The dishes are a little pricier than I had expected. 18% grauity is added is to the check so in total for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and one entree we paid about $115. read more

This was my first time coming here and I must say it does live up to the hype. It's located in the Whitemarsh town center so parking is on the premium. If you are going doing prime time make sure you give yourself extra time to find parking and walk over. The waiter we had this evening was Shawn and he was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended the rum punch as well as the Ackee and Saltfish as an appetizer. The rum punch was sweat and tasty. The Ackee and Saltfish was delicious as well. I also had some of the jerk wings that we shared at my table. They were hot so if you like spicy it's for you. Shawn also recommend the Lamb chops. The presentation of all the dishes was immaculate. Visually appealing and the flavor matched. I was definitely impressed. It's on the expensive side and they do automatically include a gratuity. For a group of 4 the bill came up to about 400 after tip. But this included 4 appetizers and drinks. My husband and I decided to take a drive. We ended up at this cute restaurant named Konoko in White Marsh, MD (we live in Jersey). This place is very nice inside and out. The vibe was great and the music was on point. We sat upstairs, which was great because the music wasn't too loud there and we could actually hear each other. We ordered drinks and appetizers that were bomb. The jerk wings and jam jam shrimp had me at first bite. When our meal came I was surprised to see such a beautiful plate that I almost didn't want to touch it. My husband had the curry goat and I had the seafood pasta with lamb chops. Konoko was a pleasant experience and is likely worth a visit. The airline theme is sweet--the staff really commits to their roles. The establishment is very pretty, the staff was attentive, and the food was quite tasty if a bit on the expensive side for dinner. The music selection was mostly Afrobeats which is just fine by me. Luckily, we arrived just in time to catch the tail end of their lunch hour specials. (Lunch runs from open until 3 during the week as of this writing. ) The jerk chicken lunch special was flavorful and, just as importantly, the chicken wasn't overcooked as often occurs at Jamaican spots. The portion was a good size as well. I would absolutely come back for lunch though I can't imagine a world where could justify their dinner+drink prices without a rooftop or pool to be found. read more

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with flight themed . The waiter I had was really helpful and went through what he recommended which was a big help . I started with what they called Jam Jam Shrimp appetizer,which is in a house made cream sauce which come with a warm piece of Coco bread . The sauce alone paired with the Coco Bread yes please ! I would give this an appetizer 10 plus . For my drink I got the Breezy lemonade which had :pineapple, Pina colada puree & Blue raspberry. I would give this drink about it was just ok to me but don't let that stop you from trying to your self . Now on to the main course! For my main course I got their Kōnōkō Seafood Pasta which usually comes with onions , red/green peppers , cream sauce shrimp, scallops, crabmeat lobster tail and vegetables, which I just chose the shrimp in my pasta.
