This is long overdue. I awoke with a horrible toothache and needed a dentist that is honest and affordable. I was referred to Dr. Stott. The office staff went above and beyond to help me. They were able to get me into the dentist the same day. The wait time was very short. The back office girls were just as friendly and professional. And of course the dentist came in and was very nice and got right to work. Obviously, it's a friendly and good working environment and it shows. Dr Stott diagnosed and fixed the issue immediately. I was shocked at the fair cost and have recommended several people to him. I drove to his office from Valencia and glad I did. I have found a new dentist. I found Dr. Stott's office this past year. I had been going to a previous dental office which had botched my teeth and I was hesitant to get further work done, but knew it was necessary. Dr. Stott and his staff are extremely personable and professional. They worked out a plan and I have since had all issues resolved and am now on a maintenance plan. My smile is better and my TMJ issue has been relieved as a result of this work done. They have been gentle and patient with me and my family and pay attention to who we are, providing a home town type of personal care. Although I've never enjoyed going to the dentist, Dr. Stott and his very pleasant staff made it as painless as possible for me. Completely fraudulent! Don't go to this office! The hygienists are nice but the front office person, Jeanine is a total lying bitch! I went there in may of last year, she told me I had a balance of $122 or something like that. She claimed my secondary insurance (physicians mutual) doesn't pay much but that shouldn't have even been an issue! My mom paid the remaining balance on her card that very day! We have proof of payment, yet I still get creditors harassing me til this very day! You guys are ruining my credit and trying to get one over on your patients by trying to get a double payment! You won't win with me! How dare you shit heads try to screw over your patients! This has been going on for too long! I'm going to report this establishment to the better business bureau! Dr. Stott and his staff are great. I have had several bad experiences with dental visits in my life, and as a result, I didn't go to the dentist for almost six years. Finally, I broke down and made appointments for myself, my daughter and my husband. The staff was great with my daughter and she had absolutely no fear of going to the dentist even after she had 4 fillings done. I needed extensive work done. They worked with me in figuring out what was covered by my insurance and what I would have to pay out of pocket. Now, I am able to chew on both sides of my mouth, after not being able to for 6 years because of an old filling that had fallen out and didn't have insurance to get it fixed. I highly recommend them. I jist had my teeth cleaned there today. I was very impressed and delighted with the tender caring touch! I am a big baby and dont want to have a painful experience. In my case, it has been 2 years since my last cleaning and i appreciated the slow start and gentle hand. Dr Stott did find a couple cavities and im headed back in a little whike to get thoae taken care of. He is personable and also explaines options every time i go in. His fees are very reasonable as well! They get my highest recommendation! The followup and reminders are well done as well. read more

First, let me preface this entire review by stating that Dr. Stott is an amazing dentist; the cosmetic quality of his work is second to none. In addition, his hygienists, especially Heather, are fabulous as well. His office and equipment are clean and up to date (digital x-rays), and since the practice is not a clinic (his office accepts cash patients or those with PPO or indemnity plans), you are seen at the scheduled time of your appointment, with no waiting, and the only dentist you will see is Dr. Stott, unlike some offices where there seems to be a revolving door of dentists treating you each time you come in. If this review were based on Dr. Stott and his hygiene staff, it would be a 5 star review, however, it's not - and here is why: I was a patient of Dr. Stott's office for 15 years. When I first started going to Dr. Stott, he had a wonderful receptionist/biller named Judy, and she was both courteous and professional. A few years later Judy left the practice Teresa took her place, followed a few years later by a sweet lady named Lee who remained with the practice until her retirement in 2013. Harriet, who had been Dr. Stott's dental assistant, was assigned a place in the front office to help Lee out and that is when the professionalism of the office started to deteriorate. On several occasions, when I arrived early to my appointments, I overheard Harriet gossiping about a patient who called in to reschedule his dental appointment due to work, "can't he just miss work?! I don't understand these people!" Lee, aware that I was sitting in the waiting room became embarrassed and told Harriet "sush! There is a patient waiting in the reception area!" On another occasion, I had arrived early for my appointment when a new patient called in and was asking Harriet for directions to the office. Harriet rolled her eyes during the phone call, fully aware that I was sitting across from her and see could see her facial expressions. When the patient called back a second time, she again complained to Lee, "That was the new patient calling back, again. It's not hard to find! What doesn't she understand!" Suffice to say, I felt embarrassed for this new patient when she arrived a few minutes later for her exam due to the fact that she was being disrespected and didn't even know it. Over the years I have referred many friends, family members and co-workers to the practice and whenever I went in for my cleanings or exams, Harriet always made it a point to tell me "Your father hasn't been seen in 6 months! Your co-worker (she would say co-workers name) has four cavities that need filled! Your friend (she would say friend's name) won't return my calls!" When she calls to confirm my dental appointments, she will also remind me that my father, cousin, aunt, various other family members, friends, or co-workers are due for appointments (they are adults, they don't live with me, and they have their own phone numbers). In addition to being annoying, this is also a HIPAA violation. Harriet, who is unpleasant in general, is also rude. She huffs and puffs when the phone rings, and the irritation in her voice is palpable. Also, whenever Harriet does the billing, she makes sure to bill for the most costly service. For example, I have had my teeth cleaned 3 times a year for the past 7 years. My insurance pays for 2 of them, and I pay for 1 out of pocket. Well, Harriet decided to bill my cleanings as "periodontal maintenance" instead of "prophylaxis", most likely because they only receive $62 for a prophylaxis and can get $71 for periodontal maintenance. My insurance denied the periodontal maintenance claim because I have no history of periodontal disease; therefore, I ended up paying $71 for the denied claim. When I brought my explanation of benefits to Harriet, advising her that my insurance denied the claim because it was submitted as periodontal maintenance instead of prophylaxis (her error), she never picked her head up to look at me, huffed, and said "well, I won't re-submit the claim." I didn't want to make a scene over $71, so I asked that she make a note in the system so that it won't happen the next time I get my teeth cleaned. Well, it ended up happening twice. Instead of having to continue to deal with Harriet's unprofessionalism, especially her telling me about the dental care needs of the people I have recommended, submitting my claims incorrectly, and being generally unpleasant, I decided to change dentists. I contemplated bringing my concerns and observations regarding Harriet to Dr. Stott's attention, however, I decided it wasn't worth my time, especially since he is about ready to retire. read more

As a person who greets you as you walk in its the older lady terry i think i find her rude and unfriendly and i just get an uncomfortable feeling. I also called to cancel an appointment way in advance and the same lady asked is there a way i can miss work is that normal practice to ask someone to miss work in this economy how am i suppose to pay if you want me to miss work.. I went there as a first time patient in Dec to use my benefits before years end. They only did a single tooth X-ray and visual exam. Later I received a billing statement saying that they billed my insurance for a full mouth X-ray in Jan. I was appalled that they would do this considering I never went in Jan and never received a full mouth X-ray. Isn't that fraud? read more
