However, I do have ongoing issues with the clinic's scheduling policies. Today, I was running 10 minutes late due to work. I commute from L.A. and already have to leave early from my job to make it to these appointments. I was told they only allow a 5-minute grace period because the doctor has a long commute--which I understand, but frankly, that's part of her job. I also have a long commute. I also lose time and money when appointments are inflexible. It feels one-sided to ask for consideration of their time while showing none for the time and cost their patients invest. Especially given that this clinic is on the pricier side, I expected a little more flexibility and understanding. To make things worse, the next available appointment they could offer was three months out. So basically, if you're a few minutes late due to life happening, your child has to wait months for a reschedule. It's disappointing, because the care itself is great. But the lack of scheduling empathy makes it hard to justify long-term.

Every aspect of the customer service was warm and calm and cheerful. I also took my son, who is 9 and was worried about everything - he was treated kindly and respectfully. In the past, I've seen dentists that find all kind of issues that were conveniently covered by insurance. Or, they poke you in the gums with a sharp instrument and say - WHOA you're gums bleed, you need a special deep cleaning that your insurance will pay for! Huh. A sharp dental instrument made me bleed? What a racket. When either of those two things happen I'm not coming back to your office. Nothing of the sort happened to us. First, the x-rays at the dentist can sometimes be the hardest part! I really appreciated the dental assistant's way of handling my occasional issue - she just calmly moved on to the next area (which required a different bite), and then went back to the problem areas later. This definitely kept me from getting flustered and it was no problem when she went back. It had been a year (COVID) since we had been to the dentist. They could have told me anything and I might have believed it. But we both were cleaned up and polished by Dr. Phil. No cavities. No pressure to do anything unnecessary. Good advice about braces, too! Also, the cleaning was that little water pressure deal, no scraping. Thank the lort. Fast and pain free. Naturally, everything was very clean, everyone was masked and gowned and there was hand sanitizer everywhere, etc. It is a nice office in general. Cool that you get x-rays and treatment all in one room. We will be back and I will be recommending Lancaster Dental to others.

I called their office Monday Morning and by 11am, I was in their office. She promised me she'd get me out of pain and for the first time in 2 months, I woke up this morning without severe pain. They were VERYA caring and even were super supportive during the needle phase of numbing (super sensitive to needles.) will definitely recommend them any day and REALLY hope they'll keep me as a full time client because I'd love to make this office my new dentist.

This micro manager dentist hops from room to room and totally interrupts whatever conversation or treatment you are undergoing. The owner has little manners or etiquette and you can truly see the frustration on the employees face. That's why you don't see the same employees 6 months later. You can overhear the pressure his employees are under to over-charge and over diagnose treatments. "What about this, what about that, did you suggest this." All to milk money out of scared patients. Likely there is shady billing happening but I didn't stick around to find out. I sat and witnessed his odd antics (and he wouldn't stop talking- Sir, we have lives!, stop the chit chat so we can get our treatment done and be about our day). Enough is enough and we are now going to another dentist in town. Avoid this narcotic, self absorbed, narcissistic owner. Bad vibes!

Never seen a dentist before so he was crying a bit and scared. The dentist that was going to see him offered my husband a second to calm him- A woman from the side walks over, and immediately tells my husband he, my son cannot be seen today. This occurred within I'd say 1 minute of time. As I'm walking behind pushing my daughter in a stroller, I intended to comfort my son but was then immediately communicating with this woman. She tells me right away, "He needs a sedative, with the way he's acting." Ofc that strikes me because we just barely got here. My son has big feelings but is very cooperative if he only had a moment with me to self-regulate. As I'm speaking to her, she mentions as well that he needs a pediatric dentist. I said yes, that's what he's scheduled for. "no he's not, we only do that Monday and Tuesdays" My response, well that's just not true. I scheduled an appointment online then got a call about rescheduling due to high volume of patients. With this schedule I mention not once but twice that he is four, my child and his first visit here. "No that's not true. You call today, you get in tomorrow." There is no reasoning with this woman, any empathy whatsoever. I walk over to my son to speak with him & Immediately he sits down in the chair for the X-rays as I'm calming him down she's telling my husband to move the stroller and wait in the lobby. Mind you this all happened (at this point) 3 minutes? I can't focus on anything at this point with all the frustration. I just wish she would have allowed me a few minutes with my son. Now he's had an unfortunate experience with no resolution. I told her she was unprofessional & walked out. So many things here that could have just been prevented, instead was essentially called a liar and told my son needed a sedative within 1 minute. I will never come back. Nor recommend this location if this how children's emotions are disregarded. Mind you, I came here thinking we had an appointment with a pediatric dentist... They probably knew my son would need a longer visit & just flat out rejected him for it. (Didn't want to deal with him) Be mindful if it's your child's first visit.

Her appointment was canceled twice because the doctor is out of the office on appointment day. I understand emergencies but maybe having more than one doctor would be helpful. Especially when it's already been months since the last appt. Then reschedule her two weeks out is shameful. I really don't like that this office puts the brackets so close to the gums and they constantly bleed from not being able to brush properly.

I recently had a filling come out, and so I had looked around for a "GOOD" dentist. My sister said she liked this dentist and had used her for cleanings etc. So I figured I would give her a try. OMG was I wrong. The rooms are claustrophobic, but thats just me.. Lets start off with the fact that I had just had a baby 3 months before I went in, so I was nursing. I had NO infection at all.. but she told me to take 4 antibiotics all at the same time.. I thought to myself.. she knows I am nursing.. I told her that?? She is the dr. I must trust her.. Then she prescribed me VALUME.. Um.. I am nursing? But she is the dr. so I must trust her.. After I paid and picked up my prescriptions, she then calls me at home and says, after researching this more I don't want you to take the valume because it may harm the baby.. I already called my REAL dr. and he said I would have to pump before I took the pill. and NOT to nurse the baby on it. Okay.. So then she prescribes me something else LESS harmful. Okay?? So now lets get into the dental work. - Let me just start off by saying I live over an hour away from this "dentist". So my husband has to take off work everytime we go into the office. what should have been a 2 trip visit.. turned into 6 trips!! So I go into her office the first time and she says I need a "root canal on that tooth" Okay.. SHE SAID I could have the Nitrous during the visit.. SHE LIED.. they put it on me for 5 minutes.. Charged me for the gas btw.. She said she can't work on me with the gas on???? what the hell is the point of gas if it isn't on you during the treatment?? Well, she did the root canal, USED HUGE old school needles (Most dentist don't use those anymore) ..and sent me home with a temporary tooth on. The next morning I woke up and my lip was still very numb?? Came back in a few days later (Lip still numb) asked her if that was normal and she says YES. That happens sometimes if you have a lot of anxiety?? Well she did impressions that day and sent me home. Keep in mind she NUMBED me for impressions ? .. ((WHY WE DIDN'T DO IMPRESSIONS WHEN I WAS THERE LAST TIME while I was numb??)) Also keep in mind I have to take an anxiety pill and pump every time I go in.. So I come back in 2 weeks later ( lip is still numb from the first time) and the crown DOES NOT FIT... she starts shaving my already shaved down tooth to try to make it fit.. numbed me again.. and said she had to do more impressions.. OMG. So go home with a temporary tooth again. the same day the temporary crown falls off.. So she says come in.. um.. I am an hr away. So we drive all the way back up there for some glue, then drive home agin.. 2 days later it falls off again.. OMG!!! drive back up there and she hands me the glue packets they used. WTH?? why didn't she give these to me 3 trips ago?? By now my husband has lost a lot of work and I have lost my mind.. SO to end this story. I went in for the permanent crown again.. and guess what.. lol it doesn't fit!! Surprise !! She says I am so sorry I have to numb you again.. and take more impressions.. OK look,, the needles are my worst fear.. she already more then likely permanently damaged my nerves from the huge needles she used ( says another dentist). I was completely ruined by this time.. I could not take it anymore.. I had a huge panic attack and I ran out to the car.. they begged me to come back in and be tortured, So I left with no temporary and no crown. I was DONE! I found a dentist that had amazing reviews near me. He looked at my X-rays etc. and said she didn't do a good job with the shape or finish of the root canal. THATS WHY THE TEMP KEPT FALLING OFF he said that should have been her first sign that she did a horrible job. He fixed it in one visit, he did find one small cavity and did have to numb me, however he showed me all the high tech stuff they have now days. an automatic electric needle that I DID NOT feel. He used the nitrous on me the whole time :) Unlike her office! I did have to take a pill because I was traumatized all over again with the other dentist. But really didn't need it. This office only uses white fillings and says he hasn't done a silver filling in years! That is AWESOME! He completely redid her shape of the tooth and put the temp in, came back in 2 weeks and whala!! I have a permanent crown!! He has told me that she probably damaged my nerves on the right side of my mouth permanently ( sucking out of a straw is very difficult now and annoying) they talked to my insurance company and they charged me for things that were NEVER done.. like a post that was never done?? they make more money charging your insurance co for things that are never done.. Gas that was not used for more then 5 minutes. This dentist needs to close down!. the girls up front were nice though. hope this helps someone like me!
