Everything was direct, no sugar coating which is a must when it comes to any health care; I was told what i needed, when I would need it, what would happen if i didn't get treatment, and how much it would cost. Prices are insane, but that goes for any dental work in any office. My only "complaint " would be that aftercare information isn't given throughly. They give you basic information, but not necessarily what to expect throughout the days. I found myself googling a bunch of stuff to make sure everything was progressing smoothly. However, I'm naturally an anxious person so this could be more of a me issue. Overall not a bad experience, definitely will continue using this place as my provider for now.

They said that my 12 year old daughter needed 2 of her baby teeth pulled, but since she was scared, they were going to allow her to come back for the treatment. We made the appointment and when we came back they said that she needed a cleaning and that was it. I asked about the teeth that needed to be pulled and they said, "no, they're fine. They will fall out eventually". Fast forward to now, I take her for a check up at a different dentist who tells me that because they never pulled the tooth, her adult tooth began growing on the outside of that tooth and now she needs braces, which is their number one suggestion with kids at Western Dental because we declined braces before. I had also taken my son with my daughter, and was told that he was perfectly fine. No cavities and everything was fine. I took him for his check up today and he needs a root canal... especially if you have kids, AVOID! My husband went for tooth pain and they gave him a list of treatment that would cost over $5000 WITH insurance covering most of it... my dentist did what he needed... and everything was covered by insurance and none of the extra nonsense was pushed on us. The horror stories that I heard about Western Dental, I experienced first hand for myself and I would never suggest that anyone go there or take anyone that they love there.

She explained all of the new high-tech machines they now had in that office, but unfortunately I don't remember what they were for. They had the latest high-tech equipment for different things, like the one standing in the hallway, and that was pretty impressed. This dental office has been getting "Best in the AV" awards for years, and rightfully so. I've been with two of their hygienists, Billy and Cindy, and they're both really good. I've had other hygienists who were either too soft or too light-handed, and I never felt that my mouth was fully clean. These two do a great job! And of course Dr. Vwich has always been awesome. I've been going there for almost 20 years now, and I believe Dr Gregory still comes in once or twice a week.

Here's how they retaliate over criticism: My husband left a review on Yelp about his first time patient experience. When I called to schedule an appointment 3 months in advance to complete the expensive implant, they asked me to hold and then the doctor picked up. She explained what I already knew, it takes 3 months for the implant in the jaw to heal before adding a crown. THEN ALL WAS REVEALED. I had not yet written a review but she immediately brought up my husband's review. SHE DROPPED ME IMMEDIATELY. A ridiculous professional incapable of addressing patient concerns when it's made public about their issues. I suggest looking elsewhere. Front desk people are sweet- everyone doing the hygiene and oral surgery etc are not professional and don't speak to you in general. It is like going through a fast-food line.

I came here just for an Invisalign consultation because my dental insurance was accepted here. That's the only reason I chose this place. I called a few days prior asking them would there be a fee for the consultation, they said no. So when I show up after filling out the paperwork, the first thing they start the up sale. But my expectation was what they told me on the phone that I didn't have to pay a dime for a consultation & they said nothing about any cleaning so I feel like they lied to me just to get me down there. The pushy front receptionist girl kept asking repeatedly. She asked me twice, and I told her no. They really try to up-sale you here & push you into getting a cleaning. Like you must be on the defense constantly. Then the doctor comes in and acts like anything you want done is riding on the cleaning and if you don't get a cleaning. They can't proceed with doing anything. And he treats you like a disgusting idiot for not agreeing to this. Then the worst part..actually meeting the doctor he was awful & so rude! I also felt he had a bit of like a superiority air about him. He was not only rude to me, but he was also rude to his own staff. To hear how he talks to them.
