Trying to find a dentist that I like and trust seems to be a bit harder than I thought. My favorite dentist retired and it has been a couple of years of seeing new dentists trying to find the right one. I think I have it! Every aspect of the customer service was warm and calm and cheerful. I also took my son, who is 9 and was worried about everything - he was treated kindly and respectfully. In the past, I've seen dentists that find all kind of issues that were conveniently covered by insurance. Or, they poke you in the gums with a sharp instrument and say - WHOA you're gums bleed, you need a special deep cleaning that your insurance will pay for! Huh. A sharp dental instrument made me bleed? What a racket. When either of those two things happen I'm not coming back to your office. Nothing of the sort happened to us. First, the x-rays at the dentist can sometimes be the hardest part! I really appreciated the dental assistant's way of handling my occasional issue - she just calmly moved on to the next area (which required a different bite), and then went back to the problem areas later. This definitely kept me from getting flustered and it was no problem when she went back. It had been a year (COVID) since we had been to the dentist. They could have told me anything and I might have believed it. But we both were cleaned up and polished by Dr. Phil. No cavities. No pressure to do anything unnecessary. Good advice about braces, too! Also, the cleaning was that little water pressure deal, no scraping. Thank the lort. Fast and pain free. Naturally, everything was very clean, everyone was masked and gowned and there was hand sanitizer everywhere, etc. It is a nice office in general. Cool that you get x-rays and treatment all in one room. We will be back and I will be recommending Lancaster Dental to others. read more

The absolute best of dentist I've been to in Lancaster. I had terrible wisdom tooth pain and they saw me same day. They were gentle and very reassuring during the entire process. I went to Lancaster Dental when I moved out to Lancaster. When they saw me they said I needed a deep cleaning, I had a cavity and I needed a root canal. It was only going to cost me, what? I have great dental insurance. Besides my dentist down the hill just saw me six months ago and said I was fine. Needless to say I travel down the hill and use my old dentist. I moved to the Antelope Valley area 3 years ago. At the time I wasn't looking to find a new Dental office, but recently thought it was time to find something near by. I made an appointment at Lancaster Dental Group about 3 weeks ago. The staff there were friendly, and it didn't take long to be called to the back area for my exam. X-rays done, Dr Mitch walked in to look at them, and my teeth. Here's where my experience turned sharp left. According to him, all of my fillings I received back in 2013, needed to be redone due to them being cracked. Also, I had a new cavity. Hmmmmm, ok, I thought to myself, he's a dentist and I'm a non-dentist, so he knows what he's talking about. I made an appointment for 2 weeks later. In the interim, I went back to my childhood dental office, in Hawthorne, CA. Once there I explained the situation. Did another X-ray and had an exam with the doctor who did my fillings back in 2013. I also had another doctor at the same Hawthorne facility look at my teeth. Both said all of my fillings were not cracked, and I didn't have a cavity. I've heard of similar situations like this happening before. Where some, not all, Dental offices try to take advantage of new patients. I'm happy I went back to my home Dental office for a second and third opinion. If I didn't, I would of paid $400+ at Lancaster Dental Group, for something that didn't need to get fixed in the first place. I will continue going to my original dental office. read more

After my last dentist basically told me I needed all of this work done which cost me $1000 out of pocket (even WITH some pretty good dental insurance provided by my place of employment), I was discouraged from going to the dentist. I hadn't been in 10 years when I finally decided it was time to go. I had my dental insurance carrier provide a list of options. I randomly selected Lancaster Dental Group, and I am soooo glad I did!
