Since I am coming from Ridgecrest I had an 1 1/2 drive each way so it was nice not having to wait once I got there. I think the coolest part is that he was able to numb the precise area needing work instead of numbing half my face. I wish all dental specialists could figure out how to do that. I wish Synergy could open an office in Ridgecrest. I don't need anymore work now. But if they could come to Ridgecrest 1 or 2 times a month they would have a lot of patients to keep them busy.

Based on my experience working in dental billing, the procedure could have been billed using an alternative code, such as an open-and-medicate procedure, which was covered under her insurance plan. Instead, the office chose to bill a non-covered code, resulting in an unnecessary financial burden. Rather than discussing my concerns professionally, Dr. Kim became argumentative and dismissed my explanation, referring to it as my "propaganda. My concern is that my daughter was billed for non-covered procedures without being properly informed beforehand, despite covered alternatives being available in certain situations. I work in dental billing and understand insurance coding and reimbursement practices. It was clear that Dr. Kim was not receptive to the fact that I was knowledgeable about the billing process. Not to mention "Dr." Gobrial outsources his orthodontic work via a third party site called Pro Monitoring-- where patients take their own pictures to send in to the "team" when mostly its processed through AI then if it deems it "proper" will supposedly send it to the team to look over. It's lazy, it's sketchy, and I do not recommend falling for it like I almost did. I'm sorry if this comes off mean, but genuinely I trusted this Doctor and got duped. My advice to Gobrial would be, please don't give people a definitive answer to important orthodontic questions when you have no training to educatedly answer them.
