The dental staff were professional, respectful, and just had great energy. Made me feel like I was speaking with my neighbors, that's how comfortable I was. The equipment used is all upgraded, new tech, clean, and the dental chair was COMFORTABLE. There's picture frames posted on the walls of completed puzzles which are beautiful that a staff member shared Dr. Lee completes with his family. Dr. Lee seems very down to earth, was thorough, took my x rays and digital pictures of my teeth so when he was explaining the horrendous tragedy going on with my teeth, he was able to show me with the x rays and pictures. It really made me understand what he was seeing, and reflects how thorough he is. You can tell he is knowledgeable AND he cares about your dental health. His tone of voice is very calming and fatherly so you can't help but feel at ease. When they were filling my cavities, I didn't feel the needle numbing my gums which was almost magical and I literally fell asleep while they were working on my teeth. It was my first visit and I will be returning. Thanks Dr Lee and staff!

My favorite…read moredentist retired and it has been a couple of years of seeing new dentists trying to find the right one. I think I have it! Every aspect of the customer service was warm and calm and cheerful. I also took my son, who is 9 and was worried about everything - he was treated kindly and respectfully. In the past, I've seen dentists that find all kind of issues that were conveniently covered by insurance. Or, they poke you in the gums with a sharp instrument and say - WHOA you're gums bleed, you need a special deep cleaning that your insurance will pay for! Huh. A sharp dental instrument made me bleed? What a racket. When either of those two things happen I'm not coming back to your office. Nothing of the sort happened to us. First, the x-rays at the dentist can sometimes be the hardest part! I really appreciated the dental assistant's way of handling my occasional issue - she just calmly moved on to the next area (which required a different bite), and then went back to the problem areas later. This definitely kept me from getting flustered and it was no problem when she went back. It had been a year (COVID) since we had been to the dentist. They could have told me anything and I might have believed it. But we both were cleaned up and polished by Dr. Phil. No cavities. No pressure to do anything unnecessary. Good advice about braces, too! Also, the cleaning was that little water pressure deal, no scraping. Thank the lort. Fast and pain free. Naturally, everything was very clean, everyone was masked and gowned and there was hand sanitizer everywhere, etc. It is a nice office in general. Cool that you get x-rays and treatment all in one room. We will be back and I will be recommending Lancaster Dental to others.

Horrible experience! This was my first visit since I am new in town. I went to a previous dentist…read moreand hygienist in Ojai every six months and was never alerted to any gum disease. I was alarmed that this office wouldn't even do a cleaning because of this "gum disease" and referred me to a periodontist for a deep cleaning and scaling. The periodontist, Dr. Yeoung, said I not only needed a deep cleaning, but also bone grafting and possibly implants. Alarm bells went off in my head because I have been so diligent with my dental hygiene for years and never even have had any bleeding during a cleaning. Also, it was going to be thousands of dollars that I didn't have. (Delta Dental would pay $1,000). I was freaked out and called my Ojai dentist and made the drive for advice. My trusted hygienist told me there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY GUMS. These two dentists are upselling procedures and obviously are working together to swindle vulnerable patients, (which is easy to do since we can't see very well inside our own mouths and trust them for their expertise). My experience was the worst! I will be driving back to my previous dentist in Ojai for dental work!

I am overwhelmingly grateful for the extraordinary care my child received at this dental office. My…read morechild has autism so it's difficult to find a dentist that would accommodate us. From the moment we walked in, Dr Ortega showed a level of compassion, patience, and kindness that no other doctor has shown before. No one has ever treated my child with such genuine affection, and it reminded me that there are still truly compassionate doctors who deeply care about their patients. What touched me most was how he spoke directly to my child, engaging her in heartfelt conversation about her favorite toys and television shows. He didn't rush her, didn't talk around her; he talked to her. That simple act made her feel seen, safe, and understood. Dr Ortega went above and beyond to treat her cavity while fully recognizing and respecting her ASD needs. Before the treatment day, he personally called to walk through the entire procedure step-by-step. He explained how he was ordering special materials at no additional cost so he could treat her cavity without anesthesia and with minimal drilling, knowing that loud sounds and unfamiliar sensations can easily overwhelm her. That level of thoughtfulness and preparation is something I have never experienced in any medical setting. During the appointment, he made sure my child was comfortable, calm, and reassured at every moment. His understanding of sensory sensitivities, his gentle approach, and his unwavering patience made what could have been a stressful experience feel peaceful and safe. This dentist didn't just treat a cavity; he treated my child with dignity, respect, and love. For any parent of a child with ASD, finding a provider who truly gets it is priceless.
