I had a root canal done here. It kept hurting for weeks after. I went back, xrays they said there was no problem. Year later back for the same tooth and another root canal. Paid $100 at the time of visit. I told them they should cover it since it was the same tooth 2nd root canal. Nope. Billed my insurance and sent me another bill for $248. All total $3200 for two root canals not to mention the two crowns I had to pay for. Disappointing. read more

I had a root canal done by a dentist last month. It was painful and even multiple injections to numb the area were not working. I just muscled through the pain. An hour later and they had finished. I still had numbness the next day. I went to another dentist for 3 crowns 15 days ago and after that procedure my gums were swollen and the pain was affecting my throat, eye and ear. Needless to say I was in a lot of pain. I went to 3 other dentists to try and find out why and all they wanted to do was deep clean my gums for another $395. I finally went to Dr Gim and was told that I needed a root canal on one of teeth that just had the crown. The pain was getting unbearable and I was not fun to be around. They were very accommodating and were able to do the procedure that afternoon. This office is beyond professional and the staff is fantastic. Once they started the procedure, I was given a few shots (that actually worked) with no pain at all and I was done in 20 minutes. They even used a microscope during the process. Gim said that I had an angry tooth, guess it bled a lot during the root canal. This was done yesterday and for the first time in 14 days I slept through the night, and today, no pain at all. I cannot over state, GO TO A PROFESSIONAL Endodontic office. I can think of no better place that Han & Gim. Don't let a dentist do your root canal. I can honestly say I had the best experience with my root canal thanks to Dr. Han. I thought I would need to be put completely under bcuz of my anxiety but we did a first same day session with just traditional numbing and it was not bad at all. Dr. Han said next visit would be the same so I decided to not be put to sleep for the 2nd phase of my root canal and I am honest when I say that it was the most pleasant experience I've EVER had at a dentist!!! Dr. Han was just that good and soft spoken and eased my nerves and the assistant was just as good. I only had sensitivity on the root canal tooth for a few days but nothing I couldn't handle just didn't chew on that tooth and it was fine. I was referred for an emergency root canal due to severe jaw pain. Dr. Chun listened carefully to my description of the pain, performed a number of tests on the various teeth in the area of the pain, and was able to identify and address the actual cause of the problem - which was a different tooth than the one I was referred for. Because the troublesome tooth had a crown covering the problem area, the problem was not easily diagnosed simply by reviewing the x-rays. He and his assistant, as well as the office support team, were extremely professional and polite. I highly recommend this team for endodontic treatment. Dr. Gim was amazing. The staff was so nice and exceptionally competent. They fit me in as a brand new patient on the same day because of the pain I was in. I recently went to this endodontist office and Dr. Moore treated me for a root canal and a gum surgery. This office was great, when I went in and had my procedure I was so nervous! Dr. Moore was very informative, provided her recommendation and explained the procedure, she was thorough with the pros and cons of what I needed done. The office environment is so calming, they played soft music and put shaded glasses on you during the procedure. It was very relaxing and helped calm my nerves. And she numbed me up so I felt absolutely nothing.. The office is very clean and the doctor kept a very clean environment while working on me. She also placed a guard in my mouth to further my comfort so I didn't have to struggle trying to keep it open. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Today I went to my primary dentist with a severe toothache and found out I needed a root canal. I was referred to Dr. Gim and their office got me in same day not even two hours after my primary dentist appointment. All the ladies were absolutely amazing! So nice and so helpful! Dr. Han is the BEST doctor ever! Why, you say? Because he is still first human. Dr. Han is super compassionate. His patience is overt and it is quite clear that he is a master of his art. During my first visit with him, he discovered 3 failed root canals and immediately sprung into action of stopping further infection by patiently working with me to insure the antibiotic treatment was effective and not harmful. Up front he explained the entire process would take a minimum of nine (9) visits and x-ray at each visit was necessary to "see" the progress. Each of the three teeth were filled with pus. I hadn't seen or experienced pus since my childhood and that was more than fifty years ago!! Dr. Han gently and thoroughly drained the pus, then followed with x-ray to verify. What made me aware of the infection was the fatigue and finally near fainting in the shower. In a state of fright, I asked out loud, "God what is wrong with me!" Right then my upper left tooth began slight throbbing. Saw, Dr. Moraga, DDs the next day and he referred me to Dr. Han. Dr. Han saved my life. In my opinion a failed root canal can be deadly and somewhat of a challenge to diagnose. In this case, there was no tooth pain or swelling, only notable fatigue and an overall feeling of not feeling so good. No one likes to go to the dentist, especially an Endodontist, for root canals. We something find ourselves there anyway. It seems that every year I end up for the last five years in Dr. Gim office. I get regular x-rays, but they cannot see under the fillings. Talk about frustrating! With each root canal every part of the procedure was explained to me, and the who process pain free. I had excellent service. Every time I gone there even if there were other patients, I felt like I was there top priority. All my questions answered. I found Dr. Gim, to be always very professional, and his office very clean, and welcoming. The other thing about Dr. Gim, is I like to meditate, and I go into deep relaxation, and he worked with me on that. One of the best things I found about Dr. Gim, is he tells you your options and respect your decision if he agrees or not. And not having Dental insurance was not a problem. In my opinion Dr. Gim, is the best Endodontist one could wish for, and his staff friendly, and helpful. However, I do wish I did not have to visit him so often. In November 2013 a dentist referred me to Dr Hans office suspecting a cracked tooth and I had a small sore on the gum where my new invisiline had rubbed it. This tooth had a 35 year old post with a round ball at the top and went into a crown. Dr Gin said he believed that the post was made of obsolete materials and needed to be replaced. He opened up the gum and proceeded to drill on it. After about 45 minutes, lots of bleeding and the smell of something burning he said he could not complete it as it was not the material that he thought it was. I asked him if since he had cut off half of the round tip if that would compromise the strength of the tooth and he said "unfortunatly yes, but try to be careful on it and it should last". The next day I had a black eye, swelling from my nose to my ear, receding gum line that looked awful being in the front of my mouth and the stitches were already coming out. I also noticed the tooth was hanging a little lower and was a little loose. Fast forward to December 2014. I developed a large bubble on the gum, not just a tiny red spot this time. My regular dentist refered me to Dr Hans office. When I got there I recognized the office and Dr Gin. They took an xray and then Dr Gin came in to see me. I asked if he remembered me and what happened the year before. He said he did and that there was NOTHING further they could do for me and told me to go back to my regular dentist. I ended up at another Endodontist and he said the tooth was cracked and needed to come out. Since making this review Dr Gin has contacted me and was very polite. He said he believes he did all he could for me and my review made him feel very sad. Several prominent local dentists recommend him so please draw your own conclusions. My experience was not good but there are always two sides to every story. read more
