I never would've thought I'd one leave a positive review about a dentist and two want to come back! I had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Kang set the bar! I called in on 5/15/24 for a consultation on an extraction. Made my appt for 5/23/24. I was contacted and ask if I could in same day with a two hour window which I did attempt but was unable to make. I called back to keep my original appointment. I began a new job in 5/20/24 and when I spoke with Elaine to see if there was a later time I was told since I had rescheduled 3 times (not true) I would have to wait at least two and pay a fee. I see Dr. Kang has great reviews but unfortunately a rude and unhelpful receptionist. read more

Dentist is nice but billing process isn't great. I had to pay upfront and then also be billed months later since the office believed a consultation was covered by my insurance when it wasn't. $135 just to talk for a few minutes isn't great. If I would have been given the billing codes ahead of time I could have checked with the insurance myself but they weren't provided. read more

I had been putting off my wisdom teeth removal for a lot longer than I'd like to admit. I am not from the area and have an hour and a half drive to get to the office but the staff was wonderful. From setting up the consult and the removal appointment they were fantastic and so friendly. They even called me on two different occasions to see if I'd like a sooner appointment. On the day of surgery, I was really nervous because I have never been under anesthesia and people had told me how horrible it was having wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Kang and his staff were very comforting. They put a soft blanket over my legs before I went to sleep. I woke up with minimal swelling and almost no bleeding. They sent me off with a care bag that had after care instructions, Tylenol, Motrin, and a beautiful carnation flower. I thought that was such a thoughtful touch. Dr. Kang himself called me that evening to see how I was doing. I got my wisdom teeth removed Wednesday, I felt good enough to return to work the next day, and now it is Friday so 2 days post surgery. My swelling is still very minimal and I am no longer taking anything for pain. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Kang and his staff, I would highly recommend them for your oral surgery needs! read more

So 13 years ago it was suggested that I get all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Being the big baby I am I put it off as long as possible. The time finally came my dentist said it couldn't wait any longer. I went to the consultation without my fiancé or mom. I was instantly comfortable. Not usually something that happens when you talk to me about surgery. My x-rays from my regular dentist did not come out so clearly so Dr. Kang's office ran another set on their machine (very quick!). The doctor spent adequate time going over all the pros & cons and telling me what to expect. The receptionist staff was very friendly and helped me get my appointment any payment options set up. The big day, I had to keep telling myself to breathe. I'd never been under anesthesia before so my nerves were jittery. Shannon (I think that was her name) the receptionist took us right into the consultation room and answered all my last minute questions. She helped keep the mood light and was very reassuring. When the nursing assistant came and got me everything moved very quickly and smoothly. The doctor made sure I was comfortable in the chair, the IV was started and I was out like a light before I really even knew it. The procedure itself lasted about an hour and I was told everything went smoothly. I only remember bits and pieces of coming to. Apparently they asked me if I wanted to keep my teeth, and I said yes so they packaged them up for me. My numbing lasted all day which was good so I wasn't uncomfortable. The doctor called to check up on me in the evening. I go back in about a week for my follow up. All in all for being a painful procedure it was very pleasant. read more

Today, after about 3 years of putting it off, I got my wisdom teeth removed by Dr.Kang. I have never even had a filling and have major anxiety when it comes to dental work. When I went into the room I started crying as I went through the motions, the assistants were all amazing, they all wiped my tears and held my hands and reassured me. Before I knew it I was out and then waking up. When I woke up everything was all cleaned up and it was like nothing happened, other than being extremely numb. I was not drowsy or in pain at all. It has been 8 hours since I've been home and so far the worst part is being numb. I have not taken any of the norco I was given, only ibuprofen. It is much less painful than I was anticipating. I just had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted yesterday morning (with a slight head cold, but it affected nothing). Everyone at Dr. Kang's office is incredibly sweet, professional, and they make you feel welcome. Shannon, in particular, has an amazing sense of humor! Dr. Kang himself is professional, straightforward, and friendly. The office itself has a cozy, homey feel that put me at ease. The operating room contained relaxing portraits and a soft piano soundtrack. As they were prepping me, one of the assistants complimented my shoes and we had a brief, casual conversation, which helped me relax a little. Less than a minute after the IV was in my arm, I was under - I don't remember my eyes closing. When I came to, I thought they were still preparing me for surgery for a moment. But I asked if we were done, and they said yes! It felt like less than a second had passed. Despite my wisdoms being impacted, they said the surgery was very easy. It took about 45 minutes. I was sent home with a beautiful carnation flower (nice touch!). Everyone's experience will differ, but today, on my second day of recovery, I only have cheek swelling and a little pain on my lower left extraction site. Despite filling the prescription for Vicodin, I have only taken normal strength acetaminophen for the pain and it works beautifully. I have also iced the area periodically. I have been taking my antibiotics. Just follow Dr. Kang's instructions (which he sends you home with) and you will be great! EDIT: I almost forgot to mention that Dr. Kang called to check in with me the same evening of my extraction, which is awesome. The whole experience was virtually painless and very satisfying. I will note that this was my very first time being put to sleep, and I would have no issues or fears doing it again after this experience. Dr. Kang was very thorough and went through everything in detail. I chose to be put to sleep during the procedure. His assistants were friendly, welcoming, & sweet. The lobby is very comfortable, equipped with high back chairs and a Keurig coffee make and water. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and professional as well. Just had my wisdom teeth pulled out about two days ago and I had a great experience with Dr. Kang and all who work at his office. It is an extremely nice office, with very professional office staff and they also make you feel very comfortable. Dr. Kang himself is very professional and nice man, which you can tell he tries to make your experience with him a good one. The procedure went very well and I have had little to no discomfort. And after the procedure was completed he sent me home with a little goodie bag as well as a follow up call about 30 min after I got home to make sure all was well. I had to have a tooth pulled and the staff,wish I remembered their names, was amazing!! Dr. Kang was great too. They really go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. They explained everything and were very considerate with all the crying I did. I arrived from another dentist office where I had already had a bunch of pain meds that made me cry and cry, and they were so great about being patient and taking care of me. They even sent me home with a care package that included chapstick, ibuprofen, and a flower....like seriously, what kind of dentist office sends you home with a flower? He was great at explaining everything before the surgery -- taking his time and making sure that I was an informed patient. I went into his office today with thoughts of doom, walking the plank would of been easier! I'm not very good at taking care of myself, but I couldn't put it off anymore! The front office staff were great, friendly and instantly made me more comfortable. the back office personal were awesome as well. The procedure was explained throughout the whole ordeal. When the procedure was finished I was walked to another room that had a really comfy chair.
