That's what Michael Giovannini, DDS told me when I complained that the veneer he had put on my chipped left front tooth didn't match my other teeth and was longer that the other front tooth. MY FRONT TOOTH?!?!?! A friend told me it looked like I had a piece of Chiclet gum stuck in my mouth! Even worse, two months later my over $750.00, badly crafted, Chiclet veneer popped completely off of what he left of my natural tooth. Of course I went right back, but was told the Dr. Giovannini was retiring and that Dr. Markarian was a new partner in the corporation. Dr. Markarian's remedy was to crown the tooth for $1,500.00, with no credit for the over $750.00 I had already paid out-of-pocket for the short-lived veneer. If I really wanted a perfect match, he'd crown all of my front teeth for $12,000.00. Then Dr. Markarian threw Dr. Giovannini under the bus saying that he never would have recommended a veneer in the first place. Hell no! I went to Shalini Singh, DDS for another opinion. She said I didn't need a bunch of crowns and that needless crowns would ruin my other teeth. She sent me to a color matching dental lab in Valencia for precise match of color, opacity, and luster. Dr. Giovannini held a few sample teeth in the spot where I had chipped my tooth and chose one proclaiming, " Yup, that's close enough." My new veneer is indistinguishable from my other teeth and not popping off. If you care about your dental health and appearance, avoid this office! read more

I used to be that person that would get a rx of an anti anxiety med, before any appointment! However, this is no longer the case. Its a new dentist Roland Markarian who is still using Giovanni's name .New hygienists are poorly trained and not customer centric. Stay away. Its not the same place. The new dentist tried to " sell" me on stuff, they email all these promotions- spam mail. . Seems like its all about $$. Not the care and concern of patients. Not as friendly , poorly trained, not customer centric. Very argumentative. Even my kids said they were not friendly and it was different on their appointments. They came out of their appointments and said they did want to go back to them. We were with Giovanni for over 13 years. Just went back to Dr. G's office for the first time in 3 years (yikes) because my insurance changed. During the last 3 years I was having a hard time choosing a dentist that compared to Giovannini. Ok where do I start? This man probably saved my life. (Literally) went in for a routine check up. He asked me about teeth grinding. I had a few cracked teeth. Then asked me about migraines. Then he noticed my tonsils were fairly large and advised me to be checked for sleep apnea. I contacted my PCP. Turns out I was positive for obstructive sleep apnea that puts me at greater risk for stroke and heart attack. He really takes his time with his patients and obviously cares. A dentist is an experience I dread and endure but this was my first time to this dental office as a new patient and I didn't know that first class treatment was possible at a dentist appointment. The entire office staff was super sweet and tried to get to know me. The doctor also walked in and treated me first like a new friend and then like a new patient. They then did me the immense favor of getting me a same day appointment with a great endodontist to treat an infection causing me a lot of pain. Natalie the dental assistant was so informative with all my questions and so comfortable with the doctor made me so at ease. After Dr. Mike went thru everything with me, I got my teeth cleaned by his hygienist Angie and she was amazing. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Mike for over 17 years. I am so comfortable with Dr. Mike and all of his staff that I feel right at home in his office. Our family has seen Dr. Mike for a variety of regular oral health needs. My child has been seeing him since she was 2 and at almost 15, she NEVER complains about going to the dentist. The result of his office and staff is a young lady who prides herself on good oral hygiene. In addition to regular dental checkups and necessary oral care, I personally, see Dr. Mike for my cosmetic dentistry needs. I wore adult braces for three years and Dr. Mike worked closely with my orthodontist to insure that the very best was being done to correct my dental issues. Upon removal of my braces, Dr. Mike made eight veneers for my top teeth that are the most beautiful teeth imaginable! He spent a lot of time with me to obtain a clear understanding in regards to what I was looking for in my smile and the result is stunning! The procedures to have these teeth worked on were very time consuming and I felt the care of Dr. Mike and his staff during all of my visits. The care received during any time I spend in a dental chair in his offices, may be described as only superb. I have beautiful natural looking teeth and I receive constant compliments when it comes to my smile. Sandy is always so helpful to my husband and I in regards to dealing with our insurance when it comes to payment for our services. Her patience in dealing with us to make sure we understand all of our options is so valued. Due to the length of time I have been seeing Dr. Mike, I have been treated by almost his entire staff.
