10APR2010 RIP Donglei Shi 31. Many years ago we used to come here all the time for small events held inside the building. The park is kept very clean and plants are well groomed by the gardeners. I remember the city would allow garage sales to be held in the parking lot once a year, but that hasn't happened in a long time.

Real tiny park with cute tennis court & baseball field and alittle area to run around with your pup, cute quaint local town park. A type of place you take your ice cream tinder date right before she gives you chlamydia

Story park is a small secluded park that most people in Alhambra ignore. Filled with a small softball field and tree the park offers much peace and quiet. Most of the time the park is pretty empty with the occasional group of young children playing ground. One of the issues I have had with the park is that it is very difficult to actually use the softball field without hitting someone, or hitting parked cars. I do not think it is a smart place to have a softball field, but still good to have. The sight of a small playground surrounded by a grass field and trees is very relaxing. Even with the city wash lying directly behind the park, the park looks very nice with all its plants and other vegetation. The park also has a sand pit that can be used to play volleyball, offering activities for just about anybody. The sight of the park is quite nice, and really has no eye sores. The park is normally very quiet. Typically the only sounds is birds, or the water in the wash or often the sound of children playing. There are however those rare times where you will here the sound of balls coming off bats, usually Sunday afternoons. Normally the park tends to be very quiet with just the sounds of nature and the occasional car driving by. During the summer time story park offers a free lunch for children 18 years and under. As a child I would go eat the free lunch they gave about 3 times a week and most of the time the lunches were pretty good. Yes they are completly free, so it is not gourmet but for small kids playing in the summer it is really good, plus they have games and park staff to talk to.

Lmao!!!! This park is pretty cool. It is very chill. Reason I am laughing is because this review is of the ***restroom only***. I usually take a break here but beware of" glory holes" in the restroom stall.smh. Its a pervert that lurks around this area who sits and waits for a good show. I stuff toilet paper in the" hole" for privacy, but other than that, its a chill back park. Or maybe brokeback.lol

    Guys paying cricket how cool

Barnes For Thought: Overall, it's a nice park. Pretty cool that they had enough funding to install permanent pickleball courts. Perhaps the next thing they can fix up is the restrooms.

This park is a great gathering and refresh place for the community of San Gabriel for leisure exercise nature walks for children and adults alike. There is a couple of playgrounds located inside Vincent Lugo Park, one of which is La Laguna playground with huge animal shaped installments for children to play & explore and a regular playground with swings & climbing/jungle gyms. For adults, there are outdoor exercise equipment, which I saw are located in two separate places.. There are more nooks & crannies for me to explore that I may find in my next visit. Picnic tables are found some shaded some not, bbq grills, too. Additionally, there are covered tables and chairs as well for the community to hold parties or any kind of celebration. Walking paths are available, both cement & ground (clay-like). I noticed that there were a few sets of people doing tai chi-a few of them brought their music to coordinate their movements. It seems like small park tucked away, almost hidden. It's like a nature trail for me. I figure I could cut across the Alhambra Wash path to walk to it next time. Restrooms available, ample parking spaces. Lots of trees, greens. I love this "discovery"

Other than that, great park with sand! So be careful!
