Good place for a walk or run around the track. Dog friendly but have to be on leash. Though saw dogs off leash in the grass area. 2 different parking lots. Children's playground and little league field. Kids playing soccer on Saturday morning.

    Perfect for running or walking

Almansor Park is an adventure Park with a beautiful lake with lots of different birds, ducks, and if you are lucky you can also see a Pelican. The park has basketball and a kids playground that is wonderful with so much fun equipment for kids. Also the baseball field, you can also play soccer and would see a workout machine through the park in different parts. Have clean bathrooms and a parking area in different places through the park. If you love to run or walk it has a trail that you can go through is about 1.2 miles I believe. The gardens are beautiful and you can find beautiful flowers and trees all over.

My favorite place to relax, walk, jog every morning before work, there is always something going on from martial arts, hacky sack, tennis, soccer, dancers, however i am not sure where to sign up for those events/lessons, great park though, lots of available parking as well.

Stopped by on Saturday, 07/01/23 for the first time. This park is the best for exercising, picnicking, and just hanging out in general. Extremely humongous park and there's a lot of people playing tennis, doing tai chi, basketball, baseball, walking laps, and grilling up some food. There's also a pond with ducks - so cute! Walked 3 laps around the park around night time and had a great time. There are restrooms in the park and it's relatively clean (seat covers and toilet papers available). Ample parking - free. Overall 5/5 and this park is completely safe.

This is such a wonderful park to have a walk in! There are so many courts and fields (basketball, tennis, baseball, track, etc) that is next to a school and golf course. People also do Chinese dancing, exercises, and many other things. Plenty of space for you to do whatever you're interested in! There are so many geese hanging around the pond area. But also so much poop in that grassy area. Parking can be found in different sections.

Almansor park is pretty much your basic park with a few basketball courts, children's playground etc. The obvious difference is that they have a pond with ducks, geese, turtles, fish which makes it pretty entertaining if you have a little one. My daughter had a great first experience with the animals, running around and having the time of her life. Definitely will be one of our go-to parks in the future.

This park is really nice I've had all of my soccer games and practices on the field and it made for a really fun way to exercise and spend my weekend. The playground had swings and my younger cousins really like it. We usually go fill up the little library and spend time there.

I love this park to run because they have a loop with rubber padding so it's easier on the feet. It's also nice to walk around and see the ducks and other birds in the pond. They also have a basketball court, baseball field, and enough room on the field to play soccer.

This is a wonderful park for taking walks. Lots of areas to check out and plenty of activities to do such as basketball, soccer, baseball, even a picnic under any of the large shady trees. Restrooms were clean and the large pond is perfect for bird watching.

My daughter seems to enjoy soccer, and after finishing a season of summer into fall, wifey signed her up for a winter into spring session. Half of her games are scheduled for Almansor Park, so we have gotten to know the area a little better than before. First thing to know-- the grounds feel expansive! Situated more or less around Almansor golf course, the park feels bigger than it is; after all, golf takes up a lot of room, so a park adjacent to the course seems much larger, despite the well-defined boundary fences that separate the two areas. The park itself features several amenities you would expect: athletic fields, baseball/softball diamonds, an all-weather jogging/walking path, restrooms, picnic areas, and a play area with swings and climbing structures for the kiddies. On weekends (especially during soccer season), parking can be tricky, but there is enough neighborhood adjacent to find a place to leave the car-- be sure to check posted signs so you don't find an expensive surprise on your wiper when you call it a day.

Ask the Community - Almansor Park

Is grilling okay in this park?

Yes, there are designated picnic areas with benches, tables, and grills. You may need to make a reservation with parks and recs.

Are we allowed to feed the ducks and geeses?

It's a complicated issue, considering it's something we all did as kids without thinking. Evidently, bread, potato chips, french fries, and cookies are not very good for ducks and geese... Actually, they're not very good for humans either. But… Read more

Hi all, do we need to have a reservation for a pic table ? Or first come first serve? Thanks in advance !

It's First come first serve :)

Hi everyone , Will the Sports light are turn on after 5pm on Saturday ? Nov-19-2021

    Yes they will :)

    Are the basketball courts open?

Yes, it's open to the public. I've seen the city's toddler basketball camp being played there as well recently.

    Are dogs allowed?

Dont think so but I always see dogs there

Anyone knows when the badminton courts will reopen?

No time line during the Pandemic.

Do you know if we can still set up BBQ on our own on July 4th regardless if city has firework or not? Thanks.

From my understanding, they don't allow it anymore

Where is a good place to sit to see the fireworks?

    What fireworks?

    Can you fish here?

    Unfortunately not :(

Was wondering if the playground is lit at night? Edit: Thank you Jennifer, very concise and helpful…

The lights around the playground are dim at night. The main source of light you'll see comes from the field lights (when it's on), otherwise, dimmer lights like the ones in the parking lot and around the track.

Do you need a reservation to use the huge picnic area with the big shade?

Yes, you do. You just go to the Alhambra City Hall and request the date you would like.

Could you have a barbecue there?

    Yep! Coal grills provided!

    Are dogs allowed?

    Yes

Can I take picture here for a Quinceanera?

    Yes. Try by the waterfall.
