We came here for my husband's birthday getaway. Easy check in, super cute, cozy cabin. It was nicely decorated and clean. No issues with hot water, it only takes a minute for the water to warm as it is January right now, I guess. The hot tub was so much fun, and we really appreciated the privacy. Raven cabin was completely private in a forested area. One thing that you may want to be careful about is that the bathroom is covered with a curtain only, not much privacy. We didn't like that a lot. Highly recommend this place for a couple get away though. P.S: the spa is closed indefinitely and we only found out about this after we booked the cabin.

Most relaxing weekend of my life was spent at Storm King. Very romantic, private and peaceful atmosphere. Loved that there was no Internet or cell service. Management provides a small basket of breakfast foods and a microwave and mini fridge. There are 2-3 small country restaurants down the road. They also offered a dvd collection to choose from. The national park is just minutes away and stunning! We almost didn't go but are so glad we did. The views and waterfalls are amazing. We stayed at the Heron and loved it. This place has been featured in magazines for a reason.

We stayed at the Bear cabin for our honeymoon and enjoyed every second! The entire place is beautiful and cabins have enough space between them to not pay too much attention to each other. We stayed in March so it should be noted that only a few restaurants were open during that time, and room doesn't have a full kitchen so bring some munchies! The skylight and hot tub were amazing. I would recommend getting a massage, but it was a little pricey for my liking. We will definitely be back to try out another cabin!

Absolutely amazing! We booked 3 of the 4 cabins for our Honeymoon getaway and had a wonderful time! We went late September and the weather was perfect! General: Very private and secluded. No cell phone reception, yay! The mossy forest right outside the door was just what we were looking for; fresh, crisp air all day long! All of the cabins have a microwave, fresh coffee and lots of little kitchen items so you don't have to leave the cabin if you don't want to! We also had a hot stone massage that we highly recommend! Heron Cabin: All of the cabins are luxurious but this one is the best, in our opinion! The cabin is large but cozy with all of the wood accents and comfy fireplace. The duel shower with wall jets was my favorite. This cabin also has a little trail leading to a bench overlooking the river and another bench by a pond. Raven Cabin: This was the smallest cabin and most secluded at the back end of the property. No duel shower. We heard lots of critters in the night at this cabin, we think because it's so tucked away in the back of the property. The back porch view was amazing! They have a hammock and picnic bench to use, when the weather is warmer. Bear Cabin: We had a little raccoon visit us at this cabin, he was stealing all of the bird food but made some very cute pictures. This cabin had a bigger shower but no side jets. The hot tub was also broken, only 1 jet worked. Again, the view off the back porch was so beautiful! There are lots of little cabins like this near Mt. Rainier but we decided on Stormking because: 1. It was very secluded and the cabins were far away from each other. 2. Each cabin had a hot tub! 3. No children allowed =) Thank you Deborah, Steve and Mr. Noodles!

Our stay here was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Raven cabin, which was the best one in our opinion.. it was the most isolated and farthest away. We didn't see or hear a single person while we were there. Everything was perfect from the time we checked in until we left. The woman running the place was so nice. The room was absolutely beautiful.. the skylight and private hot tub were great. It was just so cozy and relaxing..I loved that it was far enough out for there to not be cell phone service. We were able to really unplug for a few days and just enjoy our time there. We will definitely be returning to Stormking.

Interior of the wolf cabin. Comfy huge bed and amazing skylight.

They had a campfire one night and provided everything we needed to make Smores. Many of the guests came out to the campfire, enjoying the smores, the conversation, and the stars. It turned out that one couple had stayed there several times before. At the time we were there, the park required vehicles to carry snow chains. They rent chains at the lodge for half the price of the places you can rent them in town. Unfortunately, they didn't have our tire size but immediately offered to go purchase a set for us to rent. By far, Stone Creek lodge was the best place we stayed during our trip. If headed to the National Park or the Ashford area, we highly recommend Stone Creek Lodge.

Paradise Village - Ashford, WA…read more I stayed in one of the Tiny Cabins with a private bathroom and, speaking purely from a single-occupancy perspective, it felt surprisingly spacious. High ceilings, big windows, and tons of natural light with a beautiful wilderness view. And before anyone worries--yes, the windows have solid blinds when you actually want to sleep. The bed was huge and very comfortable. My room had both a coffee machine that made legitimately good coffee and a fancy electric tea pot... which I now want for my house. Anyway. The modern heater made it easy to dial in whatever temperature I wanted, which I appreciated. Inside the cabin you've got a kitchen sink, shower, mini-fridge, and yes--a fancy toilet (worth mentioning). Everything felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. The grounds themselves are really nice to wander, and the location doubled as a gorgeous wedding venue for my cousin. I'd absolutely recommend Paradise Village both for a quiet getaway and as a wedding venue. Peaceful, comfortable, and well done.

The land itself is breathtaking--towering trees, soft mossy trails, and peaceful stillness that invites you to breathe deeper and slow down. I spent hours wandering the hiking paths and felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the Tahoma cabin, and wow--it was cozy, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. (They must have updated them based on what I have read from previous posts!) Every detail in the space felt intentional and grounding. After a day of exploring, soaking in the outdoor hot tub with that stunning view of the trees was exactly what my body and mind needed. And the lofted sauna? Absolutely the coolest (and warmest!) little gem--such a unique and relaxing experience. What really made this place special, though, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about creating a healing experience for guests. Also: there's a sweet dog who wanders the grounds and melts your heart--truly the cherry on top. Wellspring isn't just a place to stay--it's a place to remember. I already can't wait to come back.

Unfortunately, once we arrived, we noticed a note on the front of the dishwasher that said "out of service". Okay, no biggie... *trying to be understanding as things happen*. Entered the cabin further and noticed pretty peculiar smells throughout (I thought, well, its a cabin in the PNW, so I imagine it may smell peculiar and soggy from time to time). As I tried to reason that the cabin was worth the $370ish we spent per night, I was proven more and more during our stay as to why that wasn't the case... Tried to turn on the fireplace in the main house, doesn't work. Shower spout is falling off, possibly black mold in the smaller bathroom located by the front door, walls are extremely dirty (especially in high touch areas and behind the garbage cans). Cobwebs in the corners, dead bugs hanging from the light fixtures, igniter on the BBQ doesn't work, couches were sticky and smelled odd, white towels were noticably dirty even though they were washed, beds were so uncomfortable and horrible that we left a day early... The good part of this trip is that we did spend time as a family and played some pool, hiked Mt. Rainier, and enjoyed some down time. Pool table was a great thing to have access to during our stay. The creek in the back is very beautiful in the early morning/late afternoon...but that's about it. I would not return and would not recommend others to stay here & spend this type of money per night until the owners choose to put some TLC into the place to improve its current state. Also, if you are looking for a secluded place to stay, this one isn't it. The Lazy Bears cabin is located in a small-ish community/HOA with many neighbors nearby.
