Back story: I went to my dealership twice to have my side rear view mirror fixed. I was turned away twice and was told to return each time after a scheduled appointment. While Caliber was fixing their mistakes, I decided to head to Storelli Brothers to see if they can look over Caliber's work once the oversights were fixed. I felt awkward since I wasn't a customer at Storelli Brothers, but Joe was welcoming and more than willing to help. Fast forward a week, I went straight to Storelli Brothers after picking up my car from Caliber down the street. Joe pointed out what he was looking for as we went over the car, and even recommended a paintless dent removal specialist for a dent made by a hit-and-run shopping cart. From the interactions with Joe and seeing the differences on how the shop is ran compared to Caliber, you can tell Joe is really proud of his shop and the quality of their work--as he should be. This is long overdue, especially since I told Joe and Sam that I would do this months ago. I have been using Storelli Brothers since I moved back to the Monterey area a few years ago. It started with a fender bender by another driver in a high school parking lot, causing bumper damage to my truck. Not only did they fix the problem with high quality work, but also fixed another bumper issue I already had, free of charge. Later, I had them work on my wife's car. Not only did they do high quality work again, but they take initiative to find ways to save you money and time in the process without sacrificing quality. Even after that, I inquired to them about custom painting a fairing for my motorcycle. Even though Harley would not provide them with the color and paint, their painter was able to mix a paint that looks exactly the same and did a great job on the fairing. Not to mention, much cheaper than going through Harley or another provider. Finally, I used them 1 last time when a neighbor backed into my truck. What can I say except excellent ! Joe and Sam are probably some of the nicest people in town and definitely the nicest auto body shop owners I have ever met . They did a fabulous job on my Subaru and even gave me a ride home so I didn't have to pay for a Lyft ride. An honest auto repair! I was side swiped by a truck with giant tires. Got two estimates of over $2k to repair. Storelli Brothers was closed over the Christmas holiday, so they were my third estimate. And do you know how much they charged? Zero, nada, nothing! Jose at the front desk took a look, said, "let me try something," came back with a wet cloth, and rubbed it right off! Took under two minutes! Didn't need the bumper replaced, didn't even need to be buffed! And the best part? He wouldn't accept $100, wouldn't even accept $20. I couldn't be more pleased with the auto body repair on my Nissan SUV. The rear passenger door, wheel well and actual wheel was all scraped up. The body repair work was stellar. The paint was a three layer process that matched up with the rest of my car perfectly. Sam provided excellent customer service, worked with our insurance company for approval; made sure the new door and other parts were new and not and not used cars as the insurance company had suggested as a replacement. Most of all Sam was very detailed in identfying and explaining what needed to be repaired along wtih all of the minor dings and nicks that extended to the back bumper. I had got hit twice by two separate people and was completely broken down by it since this is my first brand new car. I think my wife fixed her car a few years ago and had a great experience. I went there over the week end to get estimate on my bumper that was scratched. I spoke with Joe, which I think one of the owner, and his first response was, let me get you a card to someone who is specialized in fixing a bumper, especially as minor as yours. He end up giving me 2 other business cards on different minor dents repairs etc.... I can almost guarantee that you won't find as honest of a business as them. At least in auto business. I can totally see that other places will tell you that you will need to get a new bumper. These guys are keepers.... I will refer as many people as I can to them when I can. My car was vandalized about 2 weeks ago by some students from Seaside Middle School. I took my car in the following Monday. They started the work right away. I got my car back today and I was speechless. My car looks brand new! They did everything I wanted and more. They also buffed out my headlight housing to a sparkling shine. Just got back from picking up my car. These guys did an incredible job. Even my neighbor noticed and asked where I got my car fixed. I own a used 2012 Honda Fit, and it cost me under $2k to repair and repaint a dent in my rear bumper and the side of the car. I wish I could give them more than five stars! Joe and Sam were so helpful by working with my insurance to submit a supplemental claim and taking the stress out of the whole experience. I was so nervous about finding an auto body shop and dropping off my car for several days that I waited six months to fix my dented hood. I took my car there as a recommendation from an auto mechanic shop. The plastic headlight covers on my car were very clouded. The new headlights would have been over $2,000 on my BMW. These guys only charged me $75 to polish the headlight covers to remove the cloudiness. I did not expect it to look as good as it does. They look close to new. The 5 star perfect rating is real. We had Sam helping us over the last month with our SUV after we were hit on the freeway. I looked up reviews since I had never used an auto body shop in the area. It seemed legit so I called and they said to bring it right in. First, he was extremely compassionate. We were all a little shaken by the accident and he first asked if we had gotten medical care. Second, he knew exactly what to look for and quickly determined how many panels needed replacement. He showed my sons how he knew that the frame had been damaged. And he removed light bulbs that wouldn't turn off since the accident (so that the battery wouldn't die overnight). He collected all the insurance information from us and gave us confidence that he'd send them an estimate the following day. He did everything as promised and more. He kept me and my husband informed daily. When he told us that it might be totaled, he gave us advice on getting our paperwork together to make sure the insurance company gave us a fair price. We told him how we had just gotten new tires and brakes. When the inspector was there, Sam told him that and I guess the inspector actually measured our tire tread to give us credit for that on the valuation. In the end, Sam made this difficult process as easy as it could be on us. When the insurance company deemed it a total loss and was planning to have it picked up the following day, Sam did a careful look through (even though we had already cleaned out the car). He took pictures of every compartment for us showing it was empty and removed my husbands CDs from the stereo (something we forgot to do). He was more careful than me and such a great help. He held onto our stuff since I couldn't leave work early to come in. We hopefully won't have any need for an auto body shop for awhile, but if we do I would absolutely use them. I've had to take it in twice due to two separate collisions and they made it like new. They noticed and repaired things I didn't even notice at first glance.
