I was in charge of organizing the logistics. Which, by the way, is my least favorite thing to do in a time crunch. I've had horrible storage facility experiences in the past but was impressed by my experience with this facility. The main item being, I didn't even need to interact with anyone to get this handled. We already had enough going on, so this convenience was VERY appreciated. After a quick yelp search, Buckeye State Storage popped up. I noticed they were literally minutes from Cleveland State which was super convenient for my cousin. I immediately went onto their website and reserved their move-in special, a 10x10 for $99. I instantly received a gate code, room #, and my cousin already had her own lock from the past that she held onto. She dropped her stuff off 20 minutes later. That was easy!

They even supply dolly carts to transport your stuff to your unit, and they have free coffee (and chocolate chip cookies for the kids) in the main lobby! Lastly, I love the fact that you do NOT have to sign a long term contract with them, as many people only need these units for a few months or so. My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.

We've been there 2 times in the last month. We we're dropping off aluminum and aluminum pop cans…read moreto recycle and get some cash. They're easy to get to from where we live. When you get there you drive inside the building and your vehicle gets weighed. If it's one type of metal you are getting cash for they have you drive back to the location for the metal drop off is. You unload your items then go back to the weigh in station and they weigh your car again. That is where they get the weight amount of the metal you've dropped off. You go to the cashier and they give you money. If you have different types of scrap you should have it separated and you can load up a cart with it and go to a smaller scale that is near the cashiers office. The only downside is having to unload your vehicle (especially if you have a lot). They take all kinds of metals such as copper, aluminum, steel, and aluminum cans. There may be others that I didn't list. Last time we were there they helped to unload scrap which we totally appreciated! Their prices are pretty good compared to some of the other companies in the area that also scrap metals.

But yesterday I finally reached out to Ohio Junk Force & had a reasonable estimate & an appointment time set for the next day! They let me know when they were on the way, & when they were here, they were extremely polite, professional & friendly. They took care of the items, (including one heavy, awkward item out of my basement) quickly & efficiently. Such a relief to have everything gone! And to know they will try to keep the items out of landfills if they can be donated or used by someone. Love that! Definitely will be my go-to for removing stuff that needs to go!

When we initially said, "this looks smaller than what we ordered", she tried to gaslight us saying, "no, it's 7x10". However, it was only when we showed her that the measurements on the unit's label that said 7x7.5, she started saying that it was our fault for not checking the unit in-person before reserving. And somehow it was our fault for not knowing their website was broken. Our primary account holder (the person who made the reservation), attempted to negotiate with the manager, citing his online reservation. Only to be led to a 10x10 unit with an additional charge. This bait and switch was not appreciated along with the condescending and patronizing tone of the worker. The three other people who were helping with the move-in were yelled out of the front area because they were not the primary account holder and "I don't want to deal with them" (we were standing quietly). While this was happening, another customer was in the same room. He was not asked to leave at any point. Overall, there was a lot of shady behavior and red flags. Our unit was silently downgraded with no notice to us or pay decrease, we were gaslit into thinking the unit was the size we wanted, our primary account holder was arbitrarily isolated when discussing options for getting the size we needed, customers were strongly pushed into writing good reviews, and the experience was overall much worse than when I used iStorage the previous year. We would not suggest trusting this location with your business or storage items.

A Complete Disaster…read more If you value your belongings and expect even a shred of customer service, RUN--don't walk--away from CubeSmart. Our experience at the Warrensville Heights, OH location has been nothing short of a nightmare. My husband and I rented a 10x25 outdoor unit at this location in September 2024, and in February we discovered our worst fears: water, ice, and slush covering the floor of our unit and ruining our belongings. Cardboard boxes soaked through. Art and personal items warped and destroyed. A leaking roof and faulty door allowed snow and rain to pour in, and it had clearly been happening for some time. When I called the office, no one answered--even though it was during business hours. I left a message and eventually found an employee outside. Instead of offering help, this employee had the audacity to shrug and say, "You don't have our insurance, so I can't help you." Are you kidding me? Forget basic human decency--CubeSmart won't even take responsibility for their own faulty unit! We reached out to management, only to be met with cold indifference and zero accountability. The manager outright refused to speak with me because my name isn't on the contract, even though we both share and pay for the unit. What kind of ridiculous policy is that? To make matters worse, the official line we've been fed is that CubeSmart is not responsible for damage caused by leaks and poor maintenance unless we have their insurance. This is a clear and intentional evasion of responsibility. We do have insurance, but that's beside the point. This isn't about insurance; it's about a complete failure on CubeSmart's part to provide a secure storage space, which is literally the only service they are supposed to offer. Instead, we were ignored, dismissed, and left to deal with the destruction of our belongings on our own. CubeSmart's Warrensville Heights location is a textbook example of how NOT to run a business. Zero accountability, incompetent staff, and a manager who refuses to engage with customers or take responsibility for the state of her facility. If you want to store your belongings in a leaking, poorly maintained box with absolutely no help when things go wrong, then by all means, rent here. But if you care about your property and expect basic customer service, find literally any other storage company. We'll never use CubeSmart again, and we'll be warning everyone we know to avoid them like the plague.

Prior to the move, they called a couple of times to confirm locations, prices and optional add-on's. They were able to supply me with a cover for my mattress (that I got to keep!) and proper care for some more fragile items. I was absolutely blown away by their help! Thanks again guys.

Since I'm kind of a transient being considering my lifestyle and line of work, I can't always take…read moreeverything with me that I've gathered over the years, so I have a storage space I keep things in until I need them - and ultimately, until I get married and we have a new place to really put them! I researched a few different storage spaces because initially I felt a little iffy about the whole thing. I'd heard horror stories about spaces being broken into and things being stolen, so I was nervous. Then I found Center Road Storage in Brunswick back in '05, and have been using that space on and off ever since with no problems. The space is huge for a decent price, the security is great (keypad code access to the gated facility), and I can get in and out quickly anytime. There's a dumpster on-site for when I've outgrown things or need to toss something, and the owner-operator, Mark, is a really nice guy. The only downside is, If you're late on your payment, rare an occasion as that may be, the fee is almost half the monthly rental price, so watch out! In terms of storing my things securely for a decent price in a safe place, however, Center Road gets 5.
