Rondae was awesome when I spoke to her on the phone. The facility is nice and although the unit seemed small, we fit a lot of stuff in it. I'm not sure if they bill us or if we just need to remember, but you can sign up for auto pay if you want to. We basically just paid 2 thousand dollars to have our stuff destroyed. Stored there from July to May (10 months) (Day 1 - we were informed they don't really have a free moving truck to use. its broke down and still is to this day. That was red flag # 1 -since we chose them because of the free truck use.) So the day we move into our new house, we go to storage to get our things and when we opened the locker unit the smell of mold/mildew hit us in the face. EVERYTHING had mold on it. across my dining chair cushions, the tables, art work, frames, Dining table, China cabinet. My husbands antique chest from his grandmother is destroyed. I even opened up sealed taped boxes that were stored up high and there is mold growing on things INSIDE the boxes. My furniture, my appliances, my small kitchen appliances.. GONE. There was a big damp mark across the entire floor and appeared to be coming under the wall from the next locker unit - but it may have been coming up from the big crack across the floor. The manager is going to try to tell me "well.. if you had bought the couch covers..." REALLY!? what were "couch covers' going to do for all the antique wood, appliances, pictures, EVERYTHING ELSE that is covered in mold. Way more is damaged than just my leather couches. I bought the insurance - which gave me some relief when I realized everything was gone - and now the insurance company already sounds like they're trying to worm their way out of paying for it. They don't cover water damage - including surface water - they only cover roof leaks that cause water damage. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

For three years I rented a 5x5 locker, climate controlled, from this facility. Every time there was a billing problem the manager's office contacted me and resolved the issue. (It was always due to some credit card issue). That beats the heck out of your stuff just being auctioned off! Friendly staff and a nice clean facility. I finally moved out because I relocated to Las Vegas. Note that "5x5" really comes out to about four and a half feet squared, maybe a little more, due to the way the lockers are constructed. read more

We already had a storage unit here but needed help finding a reputable mover. When I contacted Rondae at this location, she couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. She recommended three different movers and gave me a brief lowdown on all three. We did select one of them and (hopefully) our move will be handled well. Stay tuned... As far as this location goes, it is clean, secure, well-lit and offers a wide variety of unit sizes (including climate controlled, of which I am a fan). The office staff is friendly, efficient and well-informed. The rental process was thorough and fast. My only complaint is that you are forced to purchase insurance (included in the price of your rental) which seems to exclude almost everything for which one would want insurance. What it does do is increase your monthly rental fee -- not something that was advertised or that I expected. read more

I had an unfortunate event happen at my unit.There was a leak in my roof and 80% of my items got wet and damaged .As disappointing as this was Rhondae (Manager at Cube Smart Middleburg Hts hts Ohio) returned my message asap within hours on a holiday and set it up so I had another unit the following morning to move my items and a team ready to move me to another unit if I chose to use them .Her quick response and reaction to this incident not to mention the claim being filed the next day shows that Cube Smart was the right choice for me and Cube Smart should be proud to have such a dedicated and caring employee in Rhondae.Thank you again for making this unpleasant experience a quick recovery for me. While I was storing things there for a 1-1/2 they were very nice and professional. The office staff was easy to work with until I moved out. I told them a month in advance I would be moving and the date. I was told that I would be prorated for one week into the next month. That rate was $75.00 compared to $198 a month. I had an $11.00 insurance premium, plus another $11.00 for the shelves inside of the unit. But $75.00 for 10 days of rent I think is unreasonable. They should see that they would be able to get more return customers that way. Good Bye cubesmart. read more
