I made a call about an error on my billing and the person that answered that call was so disrespectful and rude that it has made me looking for another storage place. I called to speak to management and the person that answered the second call said that she would have management call me. Never received that call. So I am posting to let people know that if you rent from them be prepared for attitude. You don't get to talk nasty and rude to me and than hang up on me. read more

Everything went well! Helena showed me several units and I got a good deal on a space that was perfect for me! I am so happy to find such a nice place. Things are clean, safe and well organized. DO NOT STORE ANYTHING OF VALUE HERE I even paid for their Tenant Elite Protection Plan What's the point of a Storage Unit if everything is damaged and the business does not take responsibility? USE ANY OTHER BUSINESS When trying to organize the soaking wet objects of my life, late in the evening (work during the day) there was a couple screaming and throwing objects at each other. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE. SECURITY CAMERAS - advertised but in contract it states that they are not monitored and no liability. What's the point? I had put everything in storage while moving house. All damaged beyond repair. I don't know if any other storage facility would be better, feels like they are going to try everything to pay as little as possible. In the future I would try any other place, and advise my friends and anyone I know to do the same. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Storage Post offered $2000 They did not send a copy of the Elite Tenant Protection Plan (limit $5000) when starting, only sent after they made an offer of $2000, with a limit of $2000 - so suspicious. Did they just make that up? Shady business. I am still talking with them and hope that they will do right. Coronavirus and quarantine has been an interesting time, I think it's worth looking how we as individuals, companies and society follow through on our obligations. How can we treat each other better? They've cancelled 24 hour access for non-commercial accounts. I signed my lease on 11/09 with 24 hour access as part of the agreement, but on 11/16 they cut their hours by 52%. The only way they notified tenants was this sheet of paper...no email, no phone call. They've cited security as the issue...why not hire more staff to cover the evening shift? read more

IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS DO NOT STORE THEM HERE!! According to police there have been dozens if not nearly a hundred or so reported thefts at this location throughout the years; even before Storage Post took over from when it was Moishe's. The security is extremely weak, cameras only cover the entrances and exits on the ground floor and loading docks, nothing in the stairwells or on the actual storage floors. A thief or thieves have clearly been operating here for a very long time based on the volume of police reports. They are most likely still operating at this facility either keeping what they steal in a storage unit or getting things out under the lax security. I used this place to store my camera equipment when I moved in April earlier this year. I liked that it was universal 24 hour access, car accessible and close enough to my place. I signed up in mid March and started storing things at the start of April. The 2nd week of April the facility called me saying my unit's door was not properly locked (they do a walk around the facility once a week to check things out). I went there later that day and found that my unit was looted of all my valuable camera equipment. Filed a police report that day, which is when I learned from the police that they had responded to nearly a hundred thefts at this location. I lost nearly $70,000 worth of equipment so my case counts as grand larceny. There was not enough physical evidence to go off of so I had to rely on the security footage. I was never allowed to view the footage myself (I tried to), I had to send the staff pictures of what to look for and let them comb through the footage and then tell me if they saw anything that matched my descriptions. The police were supposed to be able to view the security footage, however on the day that was supposed to happen the footage mysteriously was no longer available on their servers. I may have improperly locked my door as they claim, but I received next to no support from Storage Post after the fact. The precedent of poor security at this facility makes it possible for thieves to operate there, and management would clearly prefer to keep things quiet. A small insurance payout is nothing compared to the hundreds of thousands they collect in rent each month. On top of all this they denied my small insurance claim, due to lack of evidence of forced entry. There were too many questionable events in my case for me to say nothing about it. While I can't speak on how other locations are handled I can assume based on my experience that every Storage Post facility would treat tenants with a considerable amount of disregard. I will certainly never patronize a Storage Post facility ever again, and would strongly discourage anyone from using them to store their belongings. read more

I've been a member with storage post for the past 6 years and can't speak highly enough of the facility and the staff that they employ. Friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile if anything is amiss. The cancellation of the 24hour service for all guests was a bit of a disappointment since it was a huge selling factor in the past but they've made it easy to obtain that access if you can show proof of use for a business which is a reasonable compromise. read more

Needed storage for a few months and Storage Post at 32 Grand Ave had exactly what I needed! Easy move-in/move-out process, clean units, and easy access to freight elevators with the loading dock. Not to mention that the staff is wonderful! Carmen and Christine in the office were extremely helpful and friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed for an easy move out. Absolutely horrible. Our unit was broken into, along with three others on our floor. Police came and said there had been 40 other reported break ins that month!!! We had paid for insurance but for some reason they deemed this ineligible, even though we had a police report that filed this under grand larceny. **I used this service from August to December of 2020 then until March in a friends unit. If they have trouble finding me in their system, there's another cause for concern. Clearly don't have accurate records. read more

First of all, it is really hard to find a storage space with reasonable prices in New York, which is why Im SO thankful that I found this Storage Post. The facility itself is super clean with newly renovated units and climate-control, 24hr access, and car access. My rental experience over the past year has been really great - renting was a super easy process to go through (they even phone you to remind you to pay on time). Best of all, the people who work here are very nice and so helpful! Fred is my main person who helps me whenever I'm at the facility, he has the best attitude and he's gone above and beyond to help me with all my storage needs. I am a huge fan! My unit has a hole in the window which allowed bugs to get in and lay eggs in my clothing. Aside from this, they never informed me of changing the storage access hours from 24 hours to only a few hours during the day which resulted in me renting a vehicle to transport clothing only to not be able to get into the unit. I had to pay for the vehicle to transport my things back from the location I came from which was frustrating! I called the office while still at the location and emailed them yet wasn't able to contact anyone. I really wanted to be compensated for the money I spent moving my belongings back and forth. After speaking to someone at the office, I was told a manager would call me to speak about the matter and to date i wasn't contacted. This place has once again disappointed me I signed a contract for this storage facility due to the selling point of having 24/7 access yet since that has been revoked, there's nothing special about this place. They provided no call, no email of the time changes or anything significant that would have given me valid information I would have used in order to make a wise decision on when I'd transport my belongings into the unit. The staff here is what sets this facility above the others. A few encounters worth sharing: - Once i left my unit unlocked as i went back to my car. A staff member saw my unit was unlocked, guarded it, and called up another staff member to put a lock on my unit thinking I left the facility with it unlocked. This all happened in the matter of minutes. - One time I lost the key to my unit. The staff happily cut my lock at no cost and helped me pick out a replacement lock. Very convenient. Typically this would feel like a hassle to staff but they did this all with a smile and made it enjoyable. - I ended up moving out of state closing down my unit. I was dreading what the cancellation process would be like. It took 90 seconds and again the staff was helpful. I can't recommend this place enough. Facility is clean, well maintained, staff is warm and friendly, and i've always been able to find parking to unload my car. Plus, my items remained 100% safe and in perfect condition after years of storage. read more

Walter is an exceptional employee and was very helpful with my move in. I wish I could give a better rating because up until my move out everything was great. When I moved out Walter was not there. There was a new supervisor who was not friendly or helpful at all. She sat behind a desk yelling at employees and security guards in front of customers and was overall very unpleasant. The day I moved out the elevator was broken and had to be operated manually, so instead of having until 7pm they closed the elevator at 6pm which was very inconvenient. On top of being rushed out, people/employees were pushing and shoving people out of the elevator and actually damaged two of my items beyond repair. Finally, they failed to check me out properly and overcharged me for a month. I luckily caught it in time but they charged me an extra prorated amount for the 1 day that had passed before I could catch their mistake even though everything had been moved out the week prior. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. read more

Update: Storage Post provided free insurance when I signed up. I submitted a claim and I have received a check for about 90% of what I'd guess it would cost to replace the stuff. I had to get a police report to file the claim, other than that the process of filing a claim was easier than I expected. I was trying to coordinate a move of my stuff to storage from across the country doing my best to estimate the size of storage unit I would need. I ended up with more boxes of stuff than I thought, with the movers driving over to the storage unit, I called Aaron just before their office closed and he helped me immediately find a new larger unit and had it all ready for the movers to arrive and unload. Awful experience from start to finish. If I could give negative stars, I would. Take your business elsewhere. Renovated my apartment and had to move everything out temporarily. Originally got one unit, which I was told would be climate controlled and was charged as such only to find out upon my arrival that the facility is not equipped with climate control. Had my movers not started unpacking everything, I would have gone elsewhere. When not everything would not fit in the original unit, I had to purchase another unit. However, even though they had my card on file for Autopay, they would only Autopay one of the units, but never the other and then would try to charge me a late fee every month.
