Is there a no star rating? I'm sorry but, this Storage facility is horrible! Customer service - there was no one to pick up phones at the Actual facility. After three calls with different people I learn it's a call center located in Missouri who kept saying that the manager was just on the other line and was busy when actually the place was unfortunately closed for the day. How do they not know that? The place is a DUMP - Looks like your in the 909 off the 215 freeway. The office is a motor home. Dust clouds everywhere from all the sand/dirt kicking up. When we were there someone was locked inside the gates and couldn't get out. Additionally no one was in the office to help him out it was 2pm in the afternoon. I suggest you have your call center more informed if you're hiring them to pick up your phones to represent you. read more

This was the first time I had to store anything long-term (about 6 months) and I was pleased with the service this facility provided. I had reserved a larger unit than what I actually needed. Upon arriving to inspect and rent the unit, I spoke to the manager and he actually convinced me to downsize. I'm glad he did, because the unit I got was a much better fit for all of my stuff (a 1 bedroom apartment's worth) and it was cheaper. He then gave me about a 10% discount on the advertised price. Renting a truck from this location was also breeze. They have a few Budget trucks on site, so I reserved one for my moving day. On the day of the move, I pulled the loaded truck up as close to my storage unit as I could get it. Loading my stuff into the storage unit was fairly easy with some help from my friends. The "hallways" between units were wide enough to fit my dining room table, queen size bed, dresser, etc., without any hassle. read more

Also, I was told that when I'm done withe the unit, I just come in and close out the account. I presume that means no proration, so if you will be moving out do so at the end of the month. read more

I give this place 2 stars because of how cheap it is. But don't let that fool you. Upon arrival I was told I was going to have my unit swept out. It wasn't. I was also told that if I move my belongings out before the end of the month, I will be prorated. This was not the case. This place likes to misinform you. I would also like to piggy back off of what every body else has said about the management. Anthony has absolutely some of the worse customer service skills and is completely rude on the phone! Why this person is still the manager is beyond me. I can see from previous reviews that other customers have dealt with the same person and this issue has not been resolved. Of all the storage places I've tried giving my business to this is by far the best one. Although I am not local I am very willing to make the drive to this specific storage for many reasons. The place looks very well put together, clean etc. However what made me choose this storage was the employees. The women who took care of me were so polite and patient! I was looking for a place to store my new travel trailer. The staff was helpful and polite. I was driven around to look at both spaces available. All my questions were answered. When I went back the next day to reserve, once again, I was treated well. I dropped my trailer off today. My only issue is it looks like they need to resurface the asphalt. My spot is fine, but some spaces have dips and are irregular. The lines separating the spaces are worn and are not visible in school me areas. All and all, well worth the cost! read more

If I could leave no stars that would be generous. I did an online inquiry about an RV spot they had available, after receiving a call from Mark I decided to visit the facility. I walked up to the window and the individual inside rudely asked if I had an appointment I then said I was there about the rental space. He was uninterested and extremely rude said to me you don't have insurance and registration we can't rent to you. I was like huh?!? I have never spoke to you and my RV is a 2021 it is most certainly insured and registered. He then said whatever then, do you have it with you? (I thought to myself who just drives around with it.) I then said no I don't, to which he answered come back with it I will measure it and see if we approve it to be here. I was more then clear on the dimensions both in writing and verbally. I've used Storage Etc for the past two years as I needed a place to keep my stuff while I went to grad school across the country. I chose this place because the prices were reasonable. In the two years, I never really had an issue with making payments and everyone I always dealt with was very nice. However, I came here a couple of days ago to empty out my storage and I was shocked to see how disgusting the space was. Mouse/Rat droppings EVERYWHERE. On top of all my boxes. This place is not clean. I guess that's what I get for picking a facility with outdoor units. Everything was so incredibly grimy. Spider webs everywhere. At the end, I called the front to see if there was anywhere I could leave a couple of bulk items. The gentleman mentioned that they only allow small items to be thrown out and any large items would acquire a cleaning fee. Fair enough. So I left literally two small items thinking they'd be thrown out. When I went to the front desk to close out, we were told that we would have to walk over and grab the two items because the unit needs to be completely empty. Okay. That's not what I understood, but whatever. The kicker was, at the same time, he sent over a guy to check the unit in a golf cart. Could he not have grabbed the small picture frame instead of sending us to walk over to the unit in the scorching heat? If you're looking for price, Storage Etc will be fine. However, if you plan on storing your items for a while, expect them to be kept company with tons of spiders and mice who will leave awesome presents for you. Not worth it, in my opinion. read more

On Dec. 29th I put a storage space on hold online to rent on Dec. 30th The prices were great compared to many other places. Krista called to confirm. I spent all day packing to prepare for storage and thought I better pay ahead so my friend doesn't have to wait for me to process getting a space and we can just come on Dec. 30th and unload right away. I on Dec. 29th I came and Krista was very helpful. She showed me the spot. It was in a narrow space where you'd have to close the door to pass and then open it again to put your stuff in. It was the perfect size but It musky and dirty and my initial instincts was its not where I would want to put my valuable things but time was short and didn't have the energy to look for another place and things needed to get stored next day. She did say they would sweep it out. She processed me in good time and all pleasant. I couldn't sleep all night about it. The next morning I went to look at a studio to rent and then would meet my friend to go to storage. On the way home It became stronger not to leave my things there so I stopped at another storage place that was super clean, modern,felt safer, had longer hours and an indoor storage with temperature control. I put all my stuff there and went back to get a refund at storage Ect.. I paid ahead to rent for Dec. 30th and on Dec. 30th said I changed my mind. I never stepped into the place to use the storage and she said she couldn't refund me. We don't do refunds. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to and she said no. It's in the contract. I said that is sad I did't even use the space. She said sorry it's in the contract. If you would've come back yesterday she could have refund it.... but they closed an hour after I paid. Imagine if it was her mother or a friend asking, you know she'd given back the money. I asked to close the account so they wouldn't charge me automatically for next month. She kept trying to have me sign saying I am closing out on Jan. 31st but it was Dec. 30th. Today I looked on my receipt closer and she has me down as rent starting on Dec. 29th when I specifically explained I am renting on Dec. 30th!! I would like my money back as I never stepped inside to use the storage on Dec. 30th and came to get a refund on Dec. 30th. Happy New Year! Times are tough financially for all of us and the decent kind thing to do would would have been to happily refund me. Is there anyone I can talk to, to get my refund? read more

My son has an account with this facility. They called me regarding his bill several times. I explained to Anthony that I am disabled and it is hard for me to get to the phone. I offered the young man my son's phone number and to please call him. At this time Anthony told me he can continue to call me since my number was the primary disregarding my request to not call my home. He was very disrespectful and rude. At 10' wide the sites are too narrow to safely store my 30ft RV. Increasing the width to at least 11' would be much more reasonable. This 10' width is dangerous. I'm likely to bump into my neighbors or they will bump into me. I gave up and went to another facility. read more

If you get anthony on the phone, don't bother talking because he clearly likes to hear his own voice and does not listen to customers at all. I had to literally ask him does he mind if I get a sentence in. I would have kept my things in storage there but after his rude behavior I informed him I would just move my things out in seven days. Furthermore, their prices are too high they have excessive fees and the storage units are bootleg and dusty because they are outside. It's best to go somewhere else if your thinking about renting a storage unit. They knew how long the auction process takes so they should have (in my opinion) asked the other people in the office what they needed or had one of the several people in the office assist the auctions and someone else assist the other people in the room. Obviously, the corporate offices are aware of it as evidenced by responses to previous reviews, and staff at other Storage Etc. facilities are well aware of Anthony's infamy; yet, he remains more important than the customers. Why rent from any Storage Etc. facility if the company has so little regard for its customers? With so many storage places around, I choose to pay a bit more. I was impressed with the staff from my first visit. They are responsive and courteous. Some storage businesses are only this way when they want your business, and after they have your business you are just a number. Well, that is definitely not the case here. Just moved in this week!! Krystal made the leasing arrangements easy and accommodated me through email. (Not sure if that can be done all the time, but I really appreciated that with my schedule.) Both she and Krista are very welcoming and it was fun driving around in the golf cart. Majority of the lot seems to be RV/auto storage, so the actual pods are located closer to the freeway side. Yes, there is the river right next to it, but no sign of squatters. Entrance is off DEL AMO, and the front office is inside the 'trailer' just left of the driveway. There are security cameras, but not sure of lighting at night. Why would you need to be at the storage unit when it's dark though? Krystal assured me that she's been 'cleaning up' and making sure the facility no longer has overnight guests and that there is always a team member checking the grounds throughout the day. All pods are outside and have ventilation, but not climate controlled. Metal framing and wood flooring, but you can ask for plastic or bring your own tarp to place on the floor. Overall, I'm satisfied with my decision to try them out on their month to month lease. read more

These people somehow managed to allow my black enclosed trailer to get stolen; did nothing to find it in the month since they figured out my space was empty, and then had the nerve to call me looking to pay for the rental period since they let criminals get their hands on my goods.
