So how to begin with a review of Carson Valley Movers. In a few words they are fantastic, amazing,…read morewonderful, excellent, awesome, terrific, fabulous. We contacted Carson Valley Movers regarding a move from Carson City to Sequim WA, after a glowing recommendation from someone who used them for a similar move to Sequim back in 2018. From the very start our interaction with Miki was as good as it gets. Miki came to do a walk through for an estimate which was quick and fun thanks to her personality. We agreed upon their services and then she even came by on her way from work to drop off some large boxes we needed for artwork and a mirror. Then Miki and Jim came by a few days before the actual loading of the truck to make an inventory list and then managed to load quite a bit then to save time later on. Watching to two of them was poetry in motion. I kid you not. Then when they came back a few days later for the final loading it was the same thing all over again. Then a few days later, Jim arrived with the truck in Sequim and with the help of a couple local lads unloaded everything safe and sound within a couple hours. In all sincerity you couldn't find anyone better than Carson Valley Movers. They truly made what felt like a daunting move to us at our ages being in our seventies far less stressful than we imagined when it came to their part in moving us to our dream location. If you need someone to move you for whatever reason, you would be crazy to not contact them right away. Thank you Miki and Jim and all the rest of your team for making our physical move as easy as possible.

At 12:15pm, ONE mover showed up. He was fine...but I called ABCM to say we hired 2 guys...she said they were scrambling to find another guy. After about 30 minutes, she found another guy - but our current mover had to go get him. Well...he leaves AND NEVER COMES BACK. Mind you, this is on our moving day. The lady says, the job was too big for him to do alone so we have to cancel - we are not coming to help you move. Ridiculous.

Overall, very positive experience…read more There is one important thing to know: The people who show up to pack and move your things are very, very efficient. You will think, "there are only three of them; I can keep track of what they're all up to." This is the devil speaking. You can keep track of nothing. If there are things that should not be loaded, put them in a corner, put up caution tape, and put a chair in front of it. Then sit in that chair and let them work their magic. It is astonishing to watch them work. We had them load moving crates, and then had the crates shipped separately, and arranged separate movers on the far end--honestly, it would've been a lot easier to just get the full service all the way through, and the price would've been much the same in the end. I say go whole hog and relatively stress-free.

On move day, both trucks left with items still at the house because the load was underestimated. We had to drive back, rent a U-Haul, and finish the job ourselves. If you are considering this company for an interstate move, factor in that mistakes may not get corrected, and you may not hear from them at all.
