I stopped in here with my crew a couple of weeks ago but forgot to write a review. I just…read moreremembered when I came across the food pics! We went to the restaurant inside the Gold Dust Casino in Carson City. There was a little wait to get the host to seat us. They were doing double duty as the cashier as well. The smoke in the restaurant is less than it is in the casino, as far as smaller casinos go, the smoke wasn't super bad. We got seated and drink orders taken. I see they have a prime rib special available 7 days a week for $16.99, not just on Friday's and Sat. like some other casino restaurants, plus, you don't have to wait till 4pm either, available at 11am seven days a week! I went with that, medium rare please. Someone else ordered the breakfast, "Little Star", basically a standard 2 egg with hashbrowns and toast and sausage for $7.99. One of the crew ordered the "Wrangler" burger, a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings in the burger, served with fries. For appetizers, we got the onion rings and the loaded potato skins. The food all arrives and everything looks scrumptious. My Prime Rib was a decent size cooked as ordered, served with a baked potato. The appetizers were good, I actually like the loaded skins with the melty cheese and bacon. The onion rings were a smallish portion, but I guess it was just $4.99 so there's that. The Wrangler burger was quite a sight! He said the meat was real good and seemed like bigger than the two 1/4 pound patties on the menu. I'd come back here again, this is a new revamped menu from years ago.

I frequent many dining establishments across Fernley, Sparks, Reno, and most recently Carson City, and from our experiences, Gold Dust West stands out. The employees we've encountered consistently provide good to great customer service and genuinely understand the value of repeat customers and long-term business. They almost always have a wait during dinner hours; however, tables turn quickly and the kitchen keeps up with demand. We've never waited long for our food, which says a lot during peak times. I honestly wish this level of understanding and execution could be instilled in some other nearby cities here in Northern Nevada. Grateful shout-outs to Rebecca in Guest Services, Jelly our server, and Jason (J) the bartender at GDW Casino. And at The Grille at GDW Casino--thank you to Manager Bryant, whom I truly appreciate for taking the time to have a conversation, Host Ashley, and our great server Aquiles. Also, kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for consistently delivering good-quality food in a timely manner. Great service, great teamwork, and another enjoyable visit.

It's a great setup with a small arcade, a bowling pro shop, a bar with gaming, and a snack bar. We tried a few items from the snack bar: the grilled cheese sandwich, a small personal pepperoni pizza, and cheese sticks. Everything was pretty good and reasonably priced. The bar happened to be closed, but the snack bar also serves alcoholic beverages. I tried a drink I'd never heard of before "Puck" -- it was decent, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste. Service was great all around -- Jenny at the counter and Kyleigh in the kitchen were both friendly and efficient. Even the bowling center clerks, CJ and Mike, were extremely personable as I looked around to see what the alley offered. No picture. Overall, a nice surprise -- clean, friendly, and worth checking out if you're already at the casino and wanna bowl or just hang out ! Be sure to check league times since they get pretty busy !

The food here is mostly burgers and hot dogs and fries and even fried chicken strips. The have soda and beer available. If you like a real drink, go to the bar next door. What got me was the prices! For a single 1/4 lb burger it just $6.99 including a whole mound of fries! Adding cheese is just a buck more and adding another 1/4 lb patty is just another buck ... so like a 1/2 pound Double cheeseburger with fries for just $8.99! Hell, yeah, bring it on! I got 5 orders of double cheese burgers with fries for me and my crew and drinks too. They have Modelo beer for just $3.50 a bottle! The menu is posted online, just scroll past the restaurant menu to the Snack Bar menu. We all enjoyed munching down on the burgers and fries. Those burgers are huge, about the diameter of a BK Whopper, but more filled with real meat! Lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles included. There's a ton of great fries with each order too! Can't beat that price at even fast food places. I wish we had a place like this where I live!

I'm not a bowler myself, I just know you roll the ball and you get two chances to knock all the pins down. Prices seem reasonable (like I might know) and they have shoes to rent as well. There's 32 lanes and it's not crowded. What I do like is the snack bar. They have great burgers and super reasonable prices. There's a full bar available too, so if you want a scotch on the rocks or a Cosmo while you play, there you go. It's good there's no smoking in here too. It's kinda loud in here when there's a lot of people bowling. Lots of good seating with good swivily chairs. I'll review the snack bar separate as it food and not bowling. We all had a good time and my guys and one other girl were happy, so I'm happy.

Killer deal. But I got to thinking, if getting a double patty burger is just $1.00 more than a single, could I add another patty for a TRIPLE for just one more dollar? That would be tottally killer deal. So, I asked the cook and they said, she didn't see why not. I ordered a TRIPLE cheeseburger and fries for just $9.99! That's 3/4 lb of meat and cheese added along with the lettuce, tomato, and onion with secret sauce spread. I got it and opened it up. Just picking up the tray it felt heavy! Holy freakin hamburgers, that's a big ass fat burger! I had to squeeze it a bit and open wide for this thing! Damn, this is a big tasty burger, for a killer price! I almost couldn't finish the fries after eating this burger!

Patrick is, without question, the best Casino Host and Player Development Manager we have ever worked with. He consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel valued, appreciated, and genuinely welcomed. Every interaction with him is professional, warm, and personal. Whenever we email to request a reservation, Patrick responds immediately and always asks if there is anything else he can do to make our trip special. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to guest service are truly exceptional. He has a remarkable ability to make every guest feel like a VIP. Bally's Lake Tahoe is our favorite casino destination, and Patrick is a huge reason why. He is the kind of employee who creates loyal customers and lasting relationships. Quite honestly, we would follow Patrick anywhere because of the outstanding level of service he provides. Bally's, please know what a treasure you have in Patrick. He represents the very best of hospitality, and my husband and I are incredibly grateful for everything he does to make our visits so memorable. Thank you, Patrick, for always making us feel so special!

In this massive property with over 400 rooms, you'll find outdated spaces, worn furniture, dark and dingy hallways, dirty windows, hard old towels, thin bedding, lumpy pillows, and beds on the firm side. Even the plants outside have stopped being watered and left to die. Ice machines are broken on multiple floors, so you end up wandering around to other floors in the hopes of one working. The indoor pool has a bit of a Hefner grotto vibe but is constantly packed with screaming kids. It's as if someone told management just to keep the lights on because nothing else matters. Prices swing wildly: sometimes just over $100, but on busy weekends they shoot past $600. Then they tack on a $27 nightly resort fee and another $20 for self parking. Truly delusional fees for what you get. I've stayed here several times only because the rooms are comped. I would never pay to sleep here. There are plenty of wonderful hotels, and even motels, in the area that don't charge bogus resort & parking fees. The online room photos are heavily filtered and don't match reality once you check in. A few positives: the rooms are spacious at over 400 sq ft, and some have minor upgrades like newer bathrooms. There's a Starbucks near the gaming floor, a spa and a few restaurants. I haven't tried them so no opinions there. Overall, this place desperately needs a facelift and real upgrades. Until then, the resort and parking fees should be eliminated. Bally's owners should know better.

This place is so cool and not cool at the same time…read more.. Here's the bad stuff... 1. Super construction going on and the parking lots are a mess, you don't know to go right or left and I got lost finding entrances even after 3 days.really dirty too. 2. The dirt doesn't stop there. Our first room we were given was so smokey I mean burning eyes smokey. There was a box fan sitting outside the room so I think they tried to air it out but it was like someone burned a cigar in there and just closed the door. 3. After going thru a room swap we were given another room. Fine but there was a dirty rag left in the bathroom counter with hairs all over it. Not a huge deal but still, come on right? 4. The late check out. Went to the front desk night before to make sure late check out was ok since we were at an event that morning. No problem they said you got until 4 with an additional fee. Great right? Nope since our room was a room that was attached to a suite they needed us out before that. Just come on again! 5. The service is just rude everywhere. I mean everyone you encounter! The Rim restaurant guy host in a suit..., I'm convinced was high as a kite. Don't believe me, go there and talk to him, holy! The security desk, rude and unhelpful. Anyone you call on the phone from the room, rude. I'm not expecting Disney customer service, but come on man! Someone teach these guys some customer service skills. So the good.... The resort is really cool. Bowling video games, nice casino, everything to spend a fun weekend. We may even come back just to do the pool and stuff to do there. To wrap it up... Lower your expectations. Your not going to get the cleanest room. Most certainly you will be treated rudely. It's a place that could be so epic but falls short due to just taking short cuts in the customer service, organization and just plain care about your whole experience factor. P.S. you will receive at least 5 text messages telling you about how great their spa is.

The room was okay--nothing special, but no major complaints. The Starbucks is always packed, which seems to be the norm here. Today, I visited the Second Street Marketplace downstairs. The young employee who assisted me had very poor customer service. He didn't acknowledge me, didn't offer a bag for the items I purchased, didn't say thank you, and seemed more interested in chatting with his coworkers than helping customers. Based on what I observed, I wasn't the only customer having issues with him. We also requested housekeeping service for our room. We were informed there would be a charge, which was fine with us. However, after the service, the room looked exactly the same. The bed was made, but that was about it. Now, let's talk about the restaurant downstairs. I ordered a steak, but they brought me chicken instead. I clearly told the waitress I wanted steak. When I pointed out the mistake, another older employee insisted that what I was served was steak. I'm pretty sure I know the difference between chicken and steak. Fortunately, Teddy stepped in, listened to my concern, apologized, and had my order corrected. That is what great customer service looks like. Even our waitress suggested that I just eat the chicken, but guests should never be told to accept something they didn't order. The casino and the room itself were good, and I enjoyed those aspects of my stay. However, many of the staff members could benefit from additional customer service training. To corporate, management, the CEO, owner, or whoever is responsible: please invest in better customer service training. Your guests deserve a better experience. #CustomerService #Management #Hospitality #GuestExperience
