Nothing they were so rude started off abrasive and just didn't care about anything but themselves. Didn't try to work with us. Wouldn't recommend them to any of my clients. I get it you're paid by the hour but have some courtesy of peoples other peoples driveways. read more

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.... Mickie set the move up (from Nevada to Texas then on to Alabama. They arrived timely, kept up apprised of time frames and met every timeline. I had a 100 year old China hutch with irreplaceable glass sides... it was moved with "kid gloves" and was delivered without a hitch. Very pricey. Sometimes they don't answer and don't return calls. Keep trying. In May my first call to them went great, quick visit and quick estimate. I got a confirmed price (astronomical) and a date. Last minute confirmations calls were not returned. I didn't price shop, but I should have. I choked down the price because I needed licensed and insured and bonded, confirmed date, etc. I had large, bulky, fragile, heavy items to be moved room to room -- twice. Workers could not have been better. Professional and punctual and prepared and respectful and nice. They worked hard and efficiently, briefly. I had to pay for four hours minimum, and they were here exactly one hour the first time. The second time they worked hard to put a huge, lit, double desk back together. We were appreciative, but we paid hefty for it. We paid for travel time, even though we are right here in town with them. We had no choice, juggling other contractor work in our house. We paid $900 to move DR (w/huge frameless glass DR table) and office furniture into an empty LR, through wide open areas and double door opening, which took exactly one hour total. No stairs. Flat floor. Then $700+ (because I complained about cost the first time) to return same, taking about two hours, period. Charged $100 for two trucks each visit. For four guys to get here I guess. Depends on what you are moving and what your circumstances are as to whether I'd recommend them. read more

Carson Valley Movers handled my move from Topaz Ranch Estates to Reno beautifully and without a hitch. From the first contact with Karla, Followed by Miki and then the actual move with Brent and Damon, every step was professional and timely. The movers, Brent and Damon showed up on time and loaded the truck very quickly. There was no wasted time and they were finished with the entire move in 6 hours. There we're supposed to be three movers but one failed to show so the estimate was adjusted down and I paid less than expected. Overall, a very good experience. read more

Carson Valley Movers have processed my Move from Zephyr Cove, NV to Santa Barbara, CA. After selling my house in the Cave Rock Community, Miki Jones (Coordinator) came to estimate the Move. She was very professional and personalized the Move to my needs. My personal effect had to go to storage for a time but the arrival in Santa Barbara was punctual and scheduled according to the projection. The Truck Driver (Barry) had organized local helpers and all of them did a great job finalizing the move. We moved from Gardnerville to Carson city, had to move twice got a quote from Carson valley movers for about $4600 they stored my furnishings in their pods. I have to say they did an excellent job, they wrapped everything so well I knew my furnishings would be taken care off, the guys were great I was so impressed that I wanted to make sure they would move us to our home the second time they did such a great job we made sure we bought pizza for lunch and gave them each a bonus. This company is awesome the two girls kept in contact with us at all times to coordinate our moves. If we ever move again we will use them again I highly recommend them. read more

Use this company at your own risk! The night before our scheduled move we got a phone call increasing the price by one-third, because the company decided to use a third mover. The original excuse was that we were moving out of a two-story townhouse into a two-story home. But that was NOT new information. I was then told that there was an "emergency" that required the price increase. When I questioned how adding a third person could be a "emergency" the response was "Look, Lady! You did not have anything in writing! Have a nice day" and she hung up. So. Don't trust them. Don't use them. Warn your friends and family. Moving is stressful enough! And when your movers try a bait and switch, it is even worse! read more

Still waiting (and it's 12/13/18). I did call and leave 3 subsequent messages to no avail. So--I gave up and contacted a Reno-based piano mover, AAPMCO. They were first rate: gave me a quote and a date on our first call (no waiting for a callback), they were reasonable, professional and very careful. Go with the company that wants your business and won't let you down: AAPMCO. Don't bother with Carson Valley Movers. read more

This is an update. Moved to Reno in December from Genoa. Everything seemed fine until they mentioned that they had broken an antique beveled mirror. They took the mirror and promised to have it fixed. After a couple of months we inquired about the mirror and were told they had taken it to fast glass who informed them they don't fix antique mirrors (really ?) The estimate to fix the mirror was $675, They offered $60. They did deliver the mirror to the repair shop. (woopie) but refused to pay the bill. We did. If you use them just be aware they don't stand behind any damage to your property. read more

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our 5 person moving crew. They arrived right on time, worked hard for 8 hrs. straight, and took excellent care of our possessions. They went the extra mile, even removing doors and doorjambs in two skinny doorways. The packing on the trucks was exemplary - very secure for a trip over our bumpy dirt road. We got bids from this company and one other, a national chain. Since CV movers could guarantee the dates and the other company could not, we chose them. CV movers also had a better price, and did not charge by the pound--what they quoted us was what we paid. We were very pleased with all of the hired staff, including the coordinator, loading crew and our driver. We were not at all happy, however, with the owner and his wife. The owner came to pick up the moving van from the house we were moving out of, and seemed to be in a big hurry. As he was backing up, he plowed the van into the side of our pick up truck that was parked on the street. It was a tremendous hassle getting the claim processed so we could drop the truck off at the body shop, and be on our way to our new home in another state. Fortunately, we had already planned to return for that vehicle at a later date. By the time we were able to leave, we had to drive most of the night to get there on time. The lack of remorse and comprehension of how severely the accident disrupted our time table and plans was extremely upsetting. And on top of it, the owners wife was pressuring us to drive to their office to sign the papers they forget to get signed when they picked up our stuff. If the tables were turned, I would have been at the client's door with the papers, a handful of gift cards for gas and food, and a sincere apology. So, go ahead and have them move you, especially if you can have James for your driver, but beware. read more
