When they handed me the menu of pedicures we chose the base $40 pedicure. We did upgrade to gel but we always do that and it's never more than $100 for a base pedicure with gel for the two of us. SERVICE, QUALITY and VIBE deserve no stars all around... among other issues. If I could give this business zero stars, I would. My niece and I went for the first time a week ago, and I'm still appalled. Everything from the customer service, the dishonesty of the services and pricing, and the appearance of the salon were horrific. DISHONEST PRICING: I was charged 115 dollars (Plus a 20 dollar tip I added before I went home and realized how overcharged I was, although I was suspicious), for the more expensive mani/ pedi combo, which is listed at $88 total. I did not order, nor receive ANY extras, yet they overcharged me by almost 30 dollars! Not only that, but the service I got states on the menu that it includes foot and hand massages, and longer massages than the basic as well, and they didn't massage my feet and hands at all! My niece also had a large overcharge from what's listed on the menu, which I will further explain. **WARNING***: They have cuticle trims listed as "extras," among other things. They will charge you for it on top of your mani and/or pedi price. Yet on their MENU prices, the mani and pedis listed say the cuticle trims are included!! I've never in my life been to a salon where a mani and/or pedi don't include a cuticle trim, and even when it says they include it on the menu, down below it's listed as an extra... and they'll add that charge on! They are basically making up prices as they go, and skipping parts of services you pay for. We are not the first customers to have this happen. We discovered it after the experience. These people are SHADY. MORE DISHONEST PRICING: They not only significantly overcharged my very young niece also (who innocently tipped, because like myself, she didn't realize the huge discrepancies in price then what is listed until we rechecked at home), but when she went back and complained about being overcharged in person AND because her one of her very expensive French tips done there had cracked, NO apology was offered. They were actually angry we came back (less than a week after the incident) to address their dishonesty, and were very aggressive about it. The manicurist behind the front desk that we discussed this with in person stomped off. As she did, she angrily said she was busy with a customer when my niece and I addressed the situation. The manicurist who did her French manicure with tips told my niece on the phone she'd have to pay yet another charge to get her cracked nail that split 4 days after her service fixed. I cannot believe she tried to rip her off even more in person even AFTER we cited the price dishonesty on top of the shoddy work. She was nasty about the entire situation, and did not apologize. Instead, she made a face at me and a dismissive hand gesture, when I told her the behaviour and pricing were unacceptable. I firmly told her none of this was okay, and that I'd be sure to report it to the BBB and write reviews on social media. She didn't care. She is a woman past mid-life, and the other female staff member working (that threw a fit behind the front desk) was not young. I'm pointing this out, because clearly they have been scamming people for some time. The salon itself is nothing but a few concrete rooms with few decorations, and cheap furniture. The tools and supplies they use do not look very clean. There's a reason why there are so few customers. I am reporting them to various business organizations to let them know about this. Do NOT go. This business needs to be shut down, and have its license yanked for violating various laws. The owners should not be allowed to run a business. They are lying to customers about prices, and it needs to be inspected for sanitation laws as well. It's a sham. read more

Decided to try a nail salon close to home to relax & catch up with a friend. Located in a strip mall off Main St, there is plenty of parking. The salon itself was clean with separate areas for manicures, pedicures and large lobby. Lots of colors to choose from & both of us were happy with our toes when done. My only complaint is that we made appointments & were told when we arrived that they didn't have enough techs for both us of when we checked in. My friend had her pedi first while I kept her company, then they started mine. However, not even a minute later, the tech stated he "had an appointment" & left me to soak while he moved to another customer. They will not honor your appointments and will change them without contacting you to verify that the change in time is convenient for you. I set an appointment for 9am and it was changed to 2pm without anyone contacting me. Appointments are set for a reason. I understand things happen, but I arrive at 9am and the tech is there working on someone else. I feel like an explanation more than just "I changed your appointment to 2. SCAM! Absolutely upset and they stole $20-$50 from my friend and I. Overall summary, clutch your pearls even thinking about this place because they will take whatever scraps of money they can. I am deeply disappointed and dissatisfied. Online the prices are different than in person. Then they charge about 20-40 extra for random stuff no one asked for. Explanation: I got my fingernails done with the dip powder with extensions, along with a pedicure. However, a few problems, including, in the store the menu says the cheapest option for a pedicure is 33$ and on the website it says 40$? That does not make any sense. My finger nails were going to be 55$ and I understood that no problem. However my total came out to 103$ because tax. Then a few days later I check my bank account balance and I'm missing 20 whole dollars, why? Because instead of 103$ it said 123$ from the nail lounge. That was not right so I called the place, but the lady on the phone seemed annoyed that I had the AUDACITY to try to get my money back. Oh and it's not even over, I'm just beginning on everything that happened. I asked my mother to help me out if she had the time to, and she went by and got my money back in cash, 21$ to be exact. HOWEVER, my friend, who went with me to get our nails done, checked her bank account and it was 173$... what? No honestly I am so confused, because she got gel nail with extensions and a pedicure with gel. I looked it up on their website how much it should have been, and I totaled to at most 120$, plus the tip would be a little over 140$. She was fine with that, but why was her bank saying 173$? So we go in person to the nail salon. I talked to somebody and started off by saying "hey, I think she got overcharged"... and so one of the workers came to "help" us. We started off by talking about the prices and how it didn't add up. And the lady told us "Oh no no no, it was extra because of the add ons for this and this..." hang on just a minute, 40$ for hot towels? Because that was the only thing that was different. My friend specifically asked for the cheapest option on the gel toe nails. And that was 51$ on the menu in the store. And he did NOT even ask her if she wanted this or that. So, me and my friend left and it was just not sitting right. I told her to call her mom and get her up here to figure out what in the world was happening. She pulls up, we explain what happened inside the store and we three go in. Inside, for the second time that day, we talked to the same lady, again, and oh my goodness. I have never been so dissatisfied from somebody, she kept on telling us there was nothing wrong with the price, but did not even give us a reason as to why it was that price. And so we did some math, I started to say how it was 51$ for the pedicure and 55$ for the fingers. And that alone is 106$. My friend also gave a 20% tip. Guess what, it's not 173$. So, she started to argue and yell at us. A stranger who got her toe nails done and finished was also upset over the whole ordeal and asked "why don't you just give their money back? I mean the least you could do is a gift card?" But apparently it isn't that easy no more, because she was not able to do that. Listen, everyone makes a living but this is not how you do it. However most would probably not even notice missing money, but because I do not make big purchases like this often, it was noticeable. Note to whomever sees this, take your receipts and check your bank account at least once a week or depending on how often you use your card for stuff (if you don't already). To make matters worse, she showed us a "receipt" that we "signed". To be honest, yes we did sign receipts but the ones we signed were the prices we were told. I remember when I checked out my nail tech said "your total will be 103$" and I asked, "103$?" Just to be sure and she told me, "yes, 103$". And so I signed the receipt because I had saved aside around 100$ to spend on nails for myself (for prom). But, I believe they committed fraud, and let me explain, my friend checked something by accident on the side of her receipt she signed, but for some reason the one the lady showed us that we "signed" did not have that check mark. Explain to me, how does that happen? Honestly if I could, I wouldn't even give this place a single star. Understand something does not add up here, and honestly I wonder if my math teacher can make this add up better because it does not seem like the nail techs there know how to do it. I came in today to get a pedicure, as I am in the end of the third trimester of a twin pregnancy and I can no longer reach my toes. This was my first time at StopBy and I was very pleasantly surprised as it was beautiful, extremely clean and well-kept, and had great air conditioning! I've noticed a few of the nail salons I've been to this summer don't have the best A/C which definitely impacts the overall experience when you are very pregnant in the heat of summertime! The man who did my pedicure (unfortunately I did not catch his name) was very kind and gracious me and to the fact that I am extremely pregnant and struggling to get around. He helped me get out of the seat and helped me with my purse. Overall I felt very taken care of and my toes turned out really cute!! read more

We came from out of town to visit the in laws and took our mother in law to get her nails done as a treat. We booked 2 mani pedi's and a no chip mani. When we walked in 10 minutes before our appointment they told us they cannot do one of the manicures (even though we made the appointment weeks in advance) they kept telling us they were short staffed. Then why say you can do it if you can't? When I was getting my no chip manicure the man was working on my manicure and 2 other women at the same time. He kept getting up and working on their nails while doing mine. Never asked me to wash my hands (with no soap) like they usually do and proceeded to paint my nails. He hid the nails from me the whole time and when he was done rushing through my nails I took a good look and there was a full centimeter of space between my cuticle and where the nail color started. When he was finished my nails looked like they were 2 weeks old and overgrown. So I said something and a woman with big glasses took me to her chair and said they are short staffed and can fix my nails after their 2pm appointments. She was so incredibly rude, took the electric buffer and ripped my nail color off, chipped my nail and made my pinky bleed. Threw a bowl of acetone at me and told me to soak for a half hour until the 2pm appointments are done. As I was sitting there with my nails becoming more and more brittle the nice woman doing my sister's nails said she will fix my nails because the other woman never came back. My sister and mother in law both had their toes done and I'll include the photos here. Keep in mind this was a gift to have my mother in law pampered and they didn't even clean or cut her cuticles before painting her toes. They were so rushed, so rude and kept telling us they are short staffed. It was a terrible experience. To the man who rushed through my nails and the woman with the big glasses who ripped apart the nails i waited weeks to grow out...thanks for ruining this experience. Please don't do this to the next person. TO ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW DONT GO HERE. TERRIBLE PEOPLE WHO COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU OR YOUR EXPERIENCE. I've been here a time or two before and while I didn't love my experience they did a decent job so decided to give them another try today. I called to see if I could come for a mani/pedi at 2:30 to which they said yes no problem... I walked in around 2:25 and no one was at the front desk or greeted me so I signed in and sat down and finally someone came to talk to me- I told them I had called and she said okay they would be right with me. Five minutes later she came and took me to a chair, gave me the service menu to look at and said someone would be with me shortly.... 25 minutes later when my feet were still soaking in now cool water, I grabbed my shoes and walked out after no one came to perform the services or even to tell me they were busy and would be with me shortly. I totally get staffing is hard for ALOT of businesses right now but 1. They shouldn't have said they could take me if they couldn't and 2. Someone could have at least come to let me know what was going on instead of letting me just sit there... What a waste of my time, I obviously won't be returning. To top things off I got an automated "Thank you for your business" text hours later with a link to leave a review... I clicked it as soon as I received it, gave them one star and then got an error message that my link had expired. Ok so place has been in business for 4 days according to Stephen Nguyen. At first I was very impressed with the look of the salon. Nice pedi chairs. I spent 2 hours and 20 minutes here getting a pedicure and a manicure gel dip and it cost me $90. I was not pleased with the fact that as you're getting a pedicure normally you would have someone doing your nails. Nope. Same guy doing my pedicure and manicure. This takes double the time. Knowing this I would warn you to make extra time. Also the quality of the powder dip was way different than I am used to. I hope this lasts more than a week. read more

I was charged for cuticle removal on nails with a dip. I did NOT ask for it, not did she even do it! Unbelievable! Next undisclosed charge is, if you want a round shape nail (regular nail shape), they charge you extra $5.00 because they only do square!!! I dislike square and what's the big deal rounding off the edges??? They aren't very friendly, almost demeaning. Beware! Especially of up charges! I went in at 11am on a Sunday morning with my boyfriend for pedicures and manicure. The nail tech convinced me to do a builder gel base coat with my gel manicure - not even 24 hours later they have ALL popped off!!! I will never go back! I called to get it fixed and they told me they didn't have time until Thursday since I couldn't make it Monday. Looked up the salon. Did my due diligence (checked their currently posted pricing menu), booked an appointment and got a pink and white fill. This service is listed as $45 on their current menu link. After service they charged me $70. I showed them their own menu on their own website and they said that's not the price. I said, $45 is the price listed and SHOWED it to them again. Pink and white set $70, fill pink $30, FILL BOTH $45. They refused to honor it and gave me a $5 discount. So now I'm being overcharged only $20 instead of $25??? Gee thanks. Unacceptable. Then they commented that was their original pricing when they first opened to which I replied, it's your responsibility to keep it current. They refused to budge. There was a man and his daughter in the pedi chairs watching this. I tried to have a reasonable conversation by providing THEIR pricing from THEIR website. Then it was becoming embarrassing. So I could either make a scene and look like a jerk or pay their over charge and take additional action. So I paid, left, and sat in the parking lot writing this review. Then went to the TN Dept of Commerce website and filed an online complaint. I am also disputing the charge with my bank. Maybe this will help StopBy understand price gauging is not acceptable. I'm hoping they realize honoring their price and then adjusting their website would have been the legal and appropriate way to conduct business. read more

I asked if I needed to reschedule and I was told no. 10 minutes pass and no contact from a new tech. I ask if I would indeed be able to get my nails done and the answer was if I wanted dip. This is actually the 2nd time I have been here and was talked into dip at the last appointment. I am old school and just wanted acrylic. I haven't had a bad manicure in a long time, until this experience. I had booked a take off and a full acrylic set with gel polish. I got to the nail lounge and the lady at the front told me that they do not have acrylic and that they only offered dip nails. So i went with it hesitantly (i absolutely hate dip nails). When the manicurist started my take off he started picking off the acrylic that was already on my nails with a nail tip one by one.
