    My dip nails

I had an amazing experience wi th getting my nails done here. I got dip nails and it is very healthy for my natural nail. The lady who did my nails was very careful to perfect it. I forgot to ask her her name but it was either Joyce or Maya.

A bit of a wait which is understandable and then Maya took over and did a great manicure.

I had been drooling over microblading for a couple of years before I finally decided to go for it…read moreand book an appointment. I was new to the Nashville area (shocker, lol) and I didn't have someone to ask for a referral so I did what most of us do and started searching hashtags on IG and Blakely's page came up. Her transformations were absolutely gorgeous!! My end goal was to create an arch in my brow, something that I did not have. I had dreams of my brows coming over the top of my glasses, I just always thought that was so sophisticated looking, lol. I reached out to her in Nov 2020 and secured an appointment with her in Jan 2021. When I went in I was terrified. Absolutely terrified. I didn't want to look like a different person, or an angry bird, I did not want to look fake (like stick on brows) and I didn't want to scare my husband when I got home. From the moment I walked in she was so kind and reassuring. She mapped out my brows expertly and she did a great job of explaining everything and re-explaining what she was doing as she was doing it. We decided on microblading and shadowing. You can tell she loves what she does because I don't know how many times she explains what she does all day to her clients but you could tell she was happy to comfort me through it with patience and calmness. She explained when it might hurt and the whole process. She is also really humble and such a pleasure to spend time with so that made the experience enjoyable as well. No one wants a beauty treatment from someone who is snotty or thinks they are better than you, I have been there and it's not fun. She was absolutely worth the wait!! She completely transformed my brows from light straight lines to a nice subtle dark arch. (see photo) Completely waking up my face! I could not even believe it and I don't know why I waited so long. I am 8 months in now and still so happy! I am sort of a baby with pain and I did not find the service to be painful during or through the healing process. Here is my before and after please note they look a little dark because it was the day of the service, they have healed a little lighter which I love! (see second photo 8 months later). I feel it elevated my look and makes getting ready so much easier than ever before. I can't even imagine having to color in my brows in anymore, one less thing to do which adds a level of simplicity to my life. It's crazy because these beauty treatments can be viewed as "extra" or not necessary but it really did change my life for the better. There are ways you can age gracefully without looking like you get a lot of work done... this is that service for me! :) 100% worth every penny! So happy to have found this amazing artist and person! Also, I am so excited that I just had my lip blushing appointment with her a few days ago (which also took me a few months to work up the nerve for) and I'm excited to share my results here soon... so far so good and just loving how it's brightened my face! More to come on that!

" LOL Let me start this review off by saying that one's experience and spa, at any point... Should never feel rushed or make one on edge. It is taking me a long time to post this review, because I like to believe the best in people. I want to think that she was having a bad day... But I feel an obligation to let clients know what they're getting into. NOTE: I was going to send this in an email to the former owner, Lisa but unfortunately the spa is *SHOCKINGLY* under new ownership now. (I visited the salon on my last trip to TN last July.) Emmy started the facial at 12:48 and ended the facial at 1:22. I'm not great at time management, but I could tell she was rushing, and she cut it short. I asked Emmy if she did the micro dermabrasion near my milia's on my eyes and she said no I'm not gonna put scrub on your eyes. I understand the eye area is delicate. I have worked in several high and spas in resorts. These milia's were big enough to get to safely- I only made the appointment because I was told him I saw that the aesthetician would take care of them. Upon getting into the treatment room, after I laid down onto the bed and was greeted with a knock maybe 10 seconds after getting undressed- I felt rushed, pressured and uneasy. I just washed my hair, and when she started putting stuff in my face, I asked if she had a headband or towel to keep it out of my hair. Not only did she not have a headband in the room - when I requested one she said, "I think I have one out there.." (with the pregnant pause and subtext of "but I'm not going to go the extra mile." (When anyone who has gotten a facial or done one properly knows the hair must be out of a client's face.) My response: "Oh if it's far no worries..." She never got the headband and continued with her "facial." Emmy immediately told me she couldn't do a scalp massage and a hand massage (or she'd run out of time,) and I said "okay, great as long as you can do the extractions!" Emmy didn't explain at all what she was putting on my face while she was doing it there was no communication it was completely uncomfortable.. nor did she ask if I had any sensitivities or allergies. RED FLAG. Nor did she ask if I wanted oil in my hair for the scalp massage I asked Emmy to get rid of the milias on my cheeks initially, but upon leaving on my way out at the front on, (in the reception area because I noticed she either forgot or ignored my comment and my right cheek had redness and heavy irritation due to her poking at the milias and not finishing.) When I asked about the milias she avoided completely and the two she picked at..note: this was in the reception area she said "THAT'S TINY and I have another client.. so I have to go." Her response in the most uninterested/unprofessional and catty tone. I was shocked at the unprofessionalism I was given, not only because of my experience, working in spas and going to many ... But also because there were other clients and the reception area, as well as the (obviously nice but learning,) brand new receptionist. If I was the owner or manager at this establishment, I would be absolutely mortified. I was embarrassed on behalf of the owner because it's a really cute place. I'm leaving the review now because I'm back in Tennessee and I still have hyperpigmentation from where she picked at my milias
