This was my first experience with TJ. I had a pedicure. The quality of the pedicure nail work was good. . I thought she just brushed over the heels and pumice which definitely was a very short time compared to any other salons ( and I have visited many in Franklin). My heels are still a little rough after leaving. Not sure I got the leg massage so if I did, it wasn't memorable. I agree with other reviewers that the staff wasn't overly friendly but were polite. My sister and I went there trying to get pedicures. We spoke when we entered. The woman doing a pedicure just looked up at us and didn't greet us or say anything. The man doing nails never looked up at us, didn't greet us or say anything either. We stood there waiting about 5 minutes we had said excuse me about three times by now. A customer told the man we were trying to get his attention. Once again he never looked up and just rudely said I'm doing your nails right now. My sister and I just looked at each other and said they don't deserve our business and definitely won't be getting our money. We left. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there for anything . I have lived in West Palm Fl and South Tampa where it is a right of passage to get your nails done weekly. You meet friends and drink wine and enjoy a chair massage. I now live in lovely Franklin Tn and looked hard for the right nail salon. TJ Nails is the winner. I used to travel a lot and have had good and bad mani/ pedi's. I have not had a bad mani/ pedi here. I moved here at Christmas and fell ill. My only joy was going to get my nails and pedi. done. The meds made my nails and toenails extremely fragile and thin. The entire salon took care of me with a gentle touch. I used to only be able to go a week to 10 days before I needed a new set but here I am going 2 weeks. It is a guilty pleasure so I must love my salon. I love this salon. Please check them out. TV.'s everywhere if you want some alone time and friendly people to sneak down 2 doors and have wine and girl time. You will make a friend or two here. Highly recommend. Susan pampered me with the best gel mani I've ever had! Even my husband noticed! I chose an ombré color that changed from dark gray to nude with the temperature. I work as a bartender/server and this manicure lasted me a week and a half, which is a first for me working in this industry. I've never had a manicure this nice that lasted this long. After trying and going to over 20 nail salons in greater Nashville, about 4 years ago I came upon the BEST nail salon, TJ Nails in Franklin. I actually look forward to pedicures here and I'm a dude. I had been suffering from an ingrown toenail problem since my teens(I'm now 47). After a little over a year, Kayla my wonderful nail technician completely fixed this long suffering problem of mine. As long as I get my pedicure every 6-8 weeks I have zero pain or problems. This is something several doctors and three nail procedures couldn't fix. Kayla is the very best and I would NEVER go to anyone else......period. Kayla, Rick Vivian and the rest of the folks there are very friendly. If your in Franklin and need your nails done, give TJ Nails a try, I highly recommend them. read more

Terrible service, took over 2 1/2 hours for a basic pedicure, soak off and dip nails and they didn't even get to do the actual dip!!! My sister and I left because we truly couldn't be there any longer. Go somewhere else unless you want to wait 3 hours for a mediocre job. read more

Worst nail experience EVER. My mom and I went here just to get a polish change (I had gel), they told us to wait a bit, then called me over for my nails. My mom politely waited, and they allowed her to sit next to me so we could talk. 20 mins later, someone else came in and they took her immediately. My mom was totally overlooked. Then a very rude employee yelled at my mom to get out of the chair next to me, so she could do a manicure on the client she had... there were other stations they could have sat at. As it was most of that rude girls stuff was elsewhere.. It made for a very uncomfortable time for us. I left as soon as the guy working on my nails got the polish off. I walked out with horrid nails. Go Anywhere else. Please I'm trying to help you. The technicians here are not skilled at their trade. They don't file the nails evenly, the dip is so thick. They don't like when you ask them to correct a nail or nails. They abused my elderly mother yelling at her saying she was "cheap and that's why she wanted her thick, dipped, nail fixed because she didn't want to pay." Bad customer service. read more

Would have gave 0 stars if possible Wife made appointment for to fill in appointment the day before and was there early. Still had to wait as walk ins kept getting to go in front of her. They were rude to both my wife and daughter then tried to overcharge. Made appointment at same time but still split them up. This has got to be the worst nail salon in Franklin. I used to LOVE this place but recently I moved away. So when I was visiting again of course I wanted to get my pedicure done here. I walked in around 4 pm and was not greeted for 11 minutes. Pros: The business is clean. I was able to walk in and be seated with in 15 minutes without an appt. my toenails look great Cons: I waited in the chair for approximately 10 minutes before we got started - no apology for delay. 2 women that worked there were having an argument in front of customers. Once my manicure wa s completed and my nails dried (supposedly) I walked out and door and reached my hand into my purse to get my keys. 2 nails Immediately smudged. I went back in, quickly got them fixed, and sat under the dryer again for 10 minutes or so. Left again, and by the time I got to work, I noticed that the polish on a different nail started sliding off. I called and explained this was the second time the Polish got messed up in 10 minutes or less, but I wouldn't be able to come in until next week to get it fixed due to my work schedule. I was told that if I was going to wait that long , I'd have to pay again - that is understandable but I wish I would have at least gotten an apology or maybe a percentage off my next manicure. This is the second manicure I've ever gotten and I rarely do things like this due to my budget. Going in i was expecting a pleasant, relaxing experience. It ended up not going the way I was hoping. If I ever get a manicure again, it likely won't be here. read more

Not worth it. Went here for some mother/daughter bonding. Waited 30 minutes because they did not have enough workers. When they finally took us back they had me sitting 3 chairs away from the child's chair. What child wants to sit that far away from their parent, not to mention we were doing this to talk and spend some time together without dad & brother. Got mad because I told them this wouldn't work. I am not sure that they use clean or sanitized instruments, for sure they don't sue a new heel scrub, they clean it off in the water your feet are in. They quickly give a small spray to clean the tub for the next person. Not impressed. Have gone there numerous times, have just decided that it is not up to my standards. read more

I've had consistently great results at this salon. I love that I don't have to venture into Cool Springs for quality service. Their prices are on par for our area. My gel manicures last for a solid 3 weeks, longer if I can keep from peeling them. I really love Kayla and Susan, and was sorry to hear Susan is no longer there. The one technician that I tried to avoid is no longer there, either, so I am much more comfortable just walking in now and avoiding the awkwardness of requesting anyone but her. read more

Came in for SNS on nails with tips and polish change on toes. Paid $65 before tip and had FIVE nails come off within the first 7 days..... Typically my SNS nails last me 3-4 weeks which is why I don't typically mind the price if the nails will last. This was a rip off for the service rendered. Will not be coming back.... read more

Having just moved here and going to my nail tech for 16 years I thought it would be hard to find another one! I was so happy to find TJ Nails. Everyone is nice the place is kept immaculately clean.
