Even though I only recently moved back to Nashville, I regularly visited Tommy and Lena when I came home for breaks/vacations/etc and what the other reviewers say is absolutely true -- this is the Cheers of Nail Salons and no matter how long it's been since I was last in, Tommy will ask after my mom, her vegetable garden, my sister in law, etc. They really care about their customers and make it like it's a fun chit-chat with friends while getting your nails done. What keeps me coming back here, though is the quality. Nail World was doing dip way before it was cool elsewhere, keeps really quality supplies, and maintains the cleanliness with an insane attention to detail. I have gotten my nails done elsewhere then had to come back here to get Tommy to fix them when someone else messed up shape, the nail bed, etc. Now that I've been consistently back and getting my nails done regularly here again I can say that even with consistently getting them done and keeping them long in an almond shape (which can be hard to maintain without breaking if not done well), my nails are the healthiest they have ever been. (Also helps that I've gotten tons of compliments on my fancy, stylish nails - thanks, Tommy!) This is the only place I'll get a pedicure because they actually nicely clean up my toenails (which I can be a bit neglectful of) AND give every customer relaxing, deep foot/leg massages. Feels like a spa day any time I get a pedicure here. Prices are not as cheap as when I was 18, but I'm kind of willing to go with that because it's the same you'd pay anywhere else in the area and unlike other places, my nails are done perfectly, sustainably, and in a super clean environment. Pro tip: pay in cash for a bit of a 10% discount. My sister in law, who is the pickiest person I know, specifically asks to come here when she is in town Absolutely love this INSTITUTION and thankful it's been around to keep my nails looking fly for so long.

I had an appointment and only waited a few minutes before being seated, which I really appreciated. The salon itself is super cute, chic, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. I'm very particular and picky when it comes to my nails, especially trying a new place, so I was a little skeptical at first--but Zane completely won me over. She was attentive, took her time, and my nails came out beautifully. One thing I especially loved was that the service didn't feel rushed. She didn't just apply lotion at the end--she actually gave me a real hand and arm massage, which was such a nice touch and definitely a plus! Decided last minute that I wanted a pedicure. I called to make sure they take walk-ins, and they…read moresaid it is appointment only for today, no problem I made an appointment for an hour later. The pedicure itself was nice, I got the lemon drop pedicure which was $40 plus the shellac, in total with a 20% tip I paid $72. The guy who did my pedicure was thorough and did a really good job at rubbing my feet and legs as well as a good job on the shellac polish. (And I have small toes so I preach anyone that can paint them & make it look nice.) There were 10 pedicure chairs and about 8-10 manicure chairs as well as a little bar that served wine. The inside was clean upon entering. The only complaint I had is that during the middle of my pedicure, the guy left me in the chair with cold towels on my legs to go take polish off another woman's hands. He did not wash his hands in between which is kinda gross. I would probably return here if I'm in the area again, just some things to be aware of if you are in a hurry or are worried about consistency.
