Definitely a neighborhood go-to spot for breakfast. Pretty much what you'd expect from a diner. My husband loves their Feta Burger. I usually always get the Belgian Waffle with fresh berries aaaand a side of sausage (their sausage is SO GOOD). Their Cream of Turkey soup is very delicious (one of my faves). We waited in the vestibule.When they were seated, we went in. The waiter came to us and asked us to go out and wait there. I told him about the 4 people who were ahead of us. So why is he asking us to wait outside it is because we are Asian? We have been eating there since my daughters went to St Sebastian school and both finished college and are now working. Decided to have an American Classic, sunny side up, potato hash and pork sausage. The pork sausage was more like pork links, tasty but they actually deep fry it. The eggs were good but yolks were a tad more done, the potatoes are good but i forgot to tell the server to make my potato hash well done. Had i asked for it well done, the potatoes would have been less soggy and had a nice crunch. The coffee is pretty good but the servers could be more engaging. Ah. Stop Inn, I couldn't even count how many times I've been here over the years. Growing up in Woodside this was the local spot I would stop in after mass on Sunday's with my friends. This place has changed over the years in regards to ownership and staff. You won't find a young redheaded Irish girl with an accent serving you an Irish breakfast here anymore. The food and menu is the same nothing has changed in that matter, hey what works-works. Lot's to choose from and you won't get a bad meal. Just remember it's a diner so you'll get diner food. No complaints here. I enjoy there hash browns a lot, it's a must for me to get if I go at breakfast time never had them for dinner but that doesn't say I wouldn't. I would say there reasonable priced along the other diners in the neighborhood but it's not the number 1 diner in Woodside for me there like my number 2 which doesn't mean you shouldn't come here. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but this meal sucked. I had eggs and potatoes, and the potatoes were the highlight of my meal. They were burnt (which I like), but the eggs were runny. Now, the reason why they get such a bad review was because of the pancakes. I woke up, saw a commercial on TV for Denny's, and decided I wanted pancakes, so I came here. And they were so disgusting, that it almost broke my heart. Let's put it this way, they tasted like burnt grease. When I complained about it (which I hate doing), no one cared and they made me pay for it regardless, even though I didn't eat them at all. I opted for two eggs sunny with corned beef hash and hash browns, toast, side of orange juice. The perfect prescription to cure an ailing hangover had I been nursing one. I wasn't. If I could I would give it zero stars, I stoped by around 8 o'clock at night to get chicken tenders and a sandwich for me and my sister. $16 for chicken tenders that I wouldn't even feed to my dog, and my $12 sandwich became $18 because I wanted Fries. My $12 sandwich turned into a game of can my fat hands hold everything together as it tries to slip out, which ultimately didn't matter because even though I don't have Covid I couldn't taste anything in that freakin sandwich. This is one of the small but growing number of places that serve real hash browns. It really irks me when places have "hash browns" on the menu only to be given either: - home fries - potato wedges - pan fried potato - a potato So as you can imagine this review is heavily biased based on that one menu item. Coupled with the fact I've almost always ordered it with corned beef hash and two eggs. That's not much to go on for an indication of how the rest of the menu is. I can say that the guys who work here are all super friendly and great at trying hard to get things exactly the way you want them. No problem dicing up the hash browns extra good and frying it for longer for more crispiness. If the staff aren't busy watching futbol, they'll also more than oblige to change the channel to whatever you'd like to watch. This has been my go-to diner since I was little. Stop Inn has a long history and has served so many people - meaning there's a very good reason why. Their breakfast is SOLID. Reliable, fast, delicious and consistent. Weekend mornings are the busiest so don't come too late or there might be a long wait. To be honest, I've never had anything else besides their breakfast menu because it's so consistently good that I don't want to explore anything else. I always thought the home fries is what sets apart breakfasts from different diners and I think it's done pretty well here. It's shredded potatoes fried down to get crispy. Make sure you ask for extra crispy for that elevated crunch element! It does come out bland though so I always add sat and pepper, but it's nothing to complain about - if anything, it gives me more control.
