I went home picked up the six boxes And drove to the storage unit, Mind you the storage unit, my house and Home Depot are about seven blocks from each other. I get to the storage unit. It's about 830 AM, The sign on the door says open come on in. I try to open the door but it's locked. about five minutes still nobody I called the call center at (929) 547-9621, " they do not have a physical person that works at this location and that the key is inside the storage unit" I thought OK well I guess that's possible. But when I went to the storage unit and I attempted to open it, it didn't open it was locked. So I called the 929 number listed above again Spoke to a different person, The second person I spoke to Stated " They're probably walking or helping somebody into their new unit, And asked if I could give 5-10 Minutes" I gave 11 Person still not there. So I called the 929 number a 3rd time This time I expressed my frustration again and the lady on the phone Stated " There is one person for multiple facilities nearby. There was an emergency at another facility." It sounded like she was gonna ask me to just wait and be patient, but I cut her off and stated " That's not my problem, I want my money back. I have to return the van by 10 AM it's 926 " She said that she will put a request in for the cancellation While driving back home to drop off everything that was supposed to go into the storage unit A gentleman from this location called me and gave me a different excuse, He stated "Hi John, you requested a cancellation" I said yes he then stated "why" and I expressed my frustration again. Then he stated "Well, you need to understand sir. There is more than 100 units and I have to check every single one of them so you need to understand that" giving me an attitude. I said "then there should be two people working in that office not one, and that is not my problem that you have to go check everything". He then stated " Well what do you want me to do?" "To process my cancellation & my return like the Request says" I said. "Fine" he's said. I said "Thank you. You have a good day" right before I was able to hang up he said. "Fuck You" That's when I called the 929 number again unfortunately they don't have supervisors but they said that I should be receiving a call from upper management still waiting. This person that was on the phone was helpful, but she kept saying things like but sir, you need to understand no no that's not my problem. That's your problem going back-and-forth. Customer service is garbage. I small prejudice against white Christians by some workers. I have been traveling and left credit cards. I keep getting hit with fees. Citibank mailed me a new card while I was away; that is not my fault, yet they sent me a fee. I paid with a fee with another card. They did not use that to process the next month and hit me with fees upward of $35. This is not a way to keep customers. Plus there are insects and mice at their facility. I came back and dealt with Lynise when I was ready to move in. She went over the unit size to ensure I would get the perfect size for my needs. She went over the prices and searched to find promotions that I may be eligible to receive. Both representatives gave a tour. During the tour I found the facility neat and clean. The also gave me comfort that my belongings would be safe and secure at this gated facility where they provide you a code to get pass the gate and inside of the building. It's a 5 story facility consisting of small, medium, and large units inside with a four car garage that provides shelter from the elements while loading or unloading your vehicle. There are also outside units to drive up to as well and they give you an option of long term or short term rental with no contract is or obligation. They have packing products in stock for purchase but they do not provide any dumpsters for waste material. They also have about four parking spots and one handicap parking spot at the entrance. Cube smart does have price hikes, just find out when and how often. My experience was good and they do ask for a review on Google!
