Overall good experience, I had no major issues, they were respectful of my belongings and followed…read moreinstruction. They even made great suggestions. The more pre-work you do as the customer (packing/taping boxes, writing where the boxes should go, taking apart bigger pieces of furniture for the garbage or dump, etc.), the easier it will be for the moving crew and your wallet. Good: -Hired a 4 man crew for a move from a 3 story walk up. -The appointment to view the belongings for a quote was fairly quick but very accurate. -They have extra garment boxes, and tape if needed -I was quoted 4 hour move plus 1 hour travel time, and the job was done with time to spare. -They were efficient and did their thing. -They helped move furniture out of one spot and into another no problem. Please note: -I left 2 voice mails asking about a box that I could not find, I found the box but The Moving Doctor still have not returned my call...weird. -Not bad, but beware if they use their supplies (extra boxes, tape, wrapping for night stands) you get charged for the materials used on top of the original quote. -Don't waste your time, make sure you can tell the movers where boxes should go, or write it on the your box.

Stay away if I could give zero stars I would. Missing items, up charges, broken furniture, spent 6 months fighting them. Just do me a favor find another vendor. Let me help someone if I couldn't help myself. Let me add by saying their manager Mark another biggest asshole. They left 50% of the furniture behind I had to hire another company to move it. I believe the good reviews on here are fabricated by the company putting fake positive reviews. Stay away from this company and the con artist senior citizen owner who bullshits you into a contract. You end up being screwed over the trauma never leaves your mind. Stay away from The Moving Doctor - if they were real doctors it would be malpractice lawsuits all over the place they butcher moves like botched surgeries.

This place is full of hidden fees. I booked a storage unit online at $155 a month, when I got there…read moreI paid almost that much before I even got a unit assigned. They charge $10 for storage insurance , $20 for a lock, $25 for administrative fees and a bunch of other tag ons that I don't even remember like keys and key fobs. The worst of it all, the guy taking your information is slow as molasses. So the entire process takes about 30+ minutes of time while your truck rental sits and waits. They won't give you the key until they're done so your friends can't even be helping while you're inside. And after I wait for the slowest typer on the island to finish he says oops it didn't save. I hope I can find my next place quickly so I can cut my time with them incredibly short.
