I should keep track of the times that this happens but since the location opens later than it used to I have to move quickly and handle my shipments quick. I was sent a notice in the mail but I don't think this location can really justify the increased rent for shorter hours. Now I have to move around for cheaper storage and make time for that.

Do not use CubeSmart in Bellerose. The staff is horrible, especially Charles. If you complain…read moreabout his rudeness or the drug deals he does on the premises, management will do nothing to him but will tetminate your lease, illegally lock you out of your unit, and try to sell your stuff online without telling you. The store is not even licensed with the Better Business Bureau or the Department of Consumer Affairs. Take your business to any other company because you will have a hard time getting a call returned or questions answered because the staff is not experienced with customer service skills or how the company operates. Try Public Storage down the block instead.

The staff that I dealt with are great, they let me pay a year ahead of time because they told me they would raise the web rate I got on my small storage unit and I had the extra on my credit card to be able to pay in advance for the year instead of having my rate raised. They said if I emptied the unit out in less then a year I would money back for the months I didn't use. I rented online and that same night a few hours later I had a storage code and a lock with keys waiting for me when I went to put stuff in the unit. It's very easy to get in, a little confusing to find my unit but that's just because I'm daft at these things until I go to a place over and over and over again. If you need storage I'm impressed with extra space.

He welcomed us warmly, had this very cool and reassuring way about him possessing a quiet confidence and great listening skills as he assessed our needs and was spot on in recommending and efficiently calculating the perfectly sized spaces to accommodate everything. He was very thorough and got us better rates than storage facilities in Glen Head and Syosset. What we received- 15 hour daily access to a clean, easy to enter, convenient, well lighted and well organized, safe facility with carts always available and ample parking spots. An app that is great and updated so we can open gates and doors using our cell phone as well as making payments in seconds. Above all, peace of mind! Thank you awesome Payton and Public Storage for taking care of us and picking up the phone when we do need to speak with someone at the facility and are 8100 miles away. You have made our family's life so much easier and stress free and the move and storage process a breeze and actually fun. I highly recommend this Public Storage venue about a mile south of Old Country Road and just north of Sexy Crab.

I've been renting a unit here since early July. Last week, while moving some items around, I…read morediscovered mouse droppings scattered across the bottom of my unit. And, as I was pulling out my clothes and personal belongings, a mouse actually ran past me. I called the property manager's office and got a callback a day later. The staff member I spoke with admitted this is a known, ongoing issue. He said they believe mice are coming from the restaurant next door and using the units as a place to nest. He mentioned they have an exterminator come out monthly, but offered little else in the way of support or reassurance. I later spoke with the manager, Dawn, and was disappointed by her tone. She was dismissive about my concerns and, when I referenced what the earlier staff member had told me, said I'd been given incorrect information. This left me unsure what to actually believe about how widespread or long-standing this problem is. Regardless of the conflicting explanations, the facts are the same: there are mouse droppings throughout the hallways, and I personally saw a mouse in my own unit. Whatever pest control schedule they have in place clearly isn't enough to manage the problem. I've filed a report with Public Storage's corporate office. In the meantime, if you're considering renting here, I'd strongly encourage you to look elsewhere until this is resolved.
