I tried the beef and salad. Wasn't overly impressed. I will increase rating when I try something else that's better.

Family style restaurant with excellent food. Order at counter and you're given a number to take to your table. Wait for food can sometimes be longer than expected, but well worth the wait. Place is loud and a bit chilly. Great Tri-tip, salads and wraps. Breadsticks are also excellent. read more

Best place for the price and quality in all of Orange County. I love there meat. The trip tip is amazing! I love their BBQ sauce. I actually thought about having them cater my wedding but we decided to go with a place that could supply tables and chairs and such as well. Love it! read more

I loooove stonefire- and honestly I didn't think I would. But honestly it's cheap for legitimate quality. I love the cartwheel salad and I either get tri tip on top (a petite with tri tip is only like $7 and is plenty of food) or the tri tip grill plate. I love the BBQ tri tip. The chicken is also really good there and the bread sticks are killer. Be careful it does get busy sometimes (holiday weekends etc.)- and it's always really busy for take out orders so make sure to call ahead! read more

Came here with my cousins who just got off the plane at LAX for a visit to the US. Unfortunately, their English wasn't quite sufficient, so I had to translate and order for them, but the cashier was very patient and upbeat, and I must admit, I don't tend to notice customer service often but this really stood out. Mad props to him. I've come here often, and I often get the Tri Tips meal. My mom is a fan of the salmon, and I really like the options they offer you with your meal, which is completely affordable and usually leaves me with leftovers as I am not a big eater. With the choice of how you want your meat cooked along with the choice of salad and a gazillion sides (the mashed potatoes are excellent, might I say. It's just like they made it fresh from a potato - in fact, they probably did), not to mention tasty breadsticks, 8-11 bucks a meal just blows my mind. I also really like garlic, so when I first heard they offered pepper garlic for the tri tips and lemon garlic for the chicken. 10/10 Would come again. read more

Huge portions. Great taste and bang for your buck. I'm a fan of the South of the Border salad. Will be coming here for lunch many times.

I have been here a few times and their food is pretty good. My favorite thing on the menu is the tomesto pasta and the kids meal Mac and cheese is amazing. Yes I order off the kids menu from time to time. Their pizza is decent not the best. Their special BBQ sauce is amazing though! I would definitely say stop by and try this place out. read more

Stonefire grill has great, fresh food. I always go here with my girlfriend, and we get a half chicken aka carte, a petite salad (which is more than enough for two) and a half basket of breadsticks. With water, the bill never exceeds $16. Not bad! read more

Have tried 3 times now, and for family dining, it is excellent and the service is great....

Just called for Takeout order & they closed at 7pm tonight! Probably due to Super Bowl night? Regular hours should be till 9.30pm.

I have never written a negative review in my life and never planned on writing one as I am not one to ever say anything negative, only positive. I am still hesitating to write this...I decided to give this place a try since I had it once at a friend's party and enjoyed the food, thoroughly. Unfortunately, when I went to eat yesterday, I was displeased. First, I was completely shocked by the price. Almost 12 dollars for chicken and mashed potatoes?! "A meal" but it didn't even come with a drink. Okay, I get it. High quality food is expensive. Chicken was a little dry and I was really sad to find a little hair in my mashed potatoes though :( I know I should have said something but no one came by our table and I just brushed it off since I am not one for confrontation. I am only posting this in hopes of helping to prevent this from happening to any other customers. I will not be going back unfortunately though. read more

Stonefire Grill - I was so excited for mashed potatoes :( - American Near Me - Irvine, California

I would actually give this about 3 1/2 stars because I'm not sure it's quite deserving of a 4 but definitely not in the 3 category. The last two times we have ordered from stone fire has been to go. last night, the quality, taste and cut of the tri-tip was VERY good but for some reason the breadsticks were very bland. In addition, the mashed potatoes were chunky and just not very tasty. We will return but in no rush to do so. read more

Disappointed with the service I got. I came by around 3 pm (read: not busy at all) on a weekday and ordered some tri tip medium rare to go. Cashier asked for my name and said it would be 10-15 min, so I sat and waited. After about 15 min, I saw a bag waiting on their side. I'm the only one, so clearly it's my order and I'm expecting my name to be called. After another 10 min, I finally go up to check on the order and (no surprise here) it was waiting with my name on it. Why get my name if you don't call me when it's ready. read more

I have had the veggie pizza without cheese and a southwestern salad. Not sure of the names for these two menu items because my partner orders them for takeout. Stonefire's veggie pizza sans cheese is one of the best veggie pizzas sans cheese I have ever had!!!!! Lots of veggies, good tasting sauce. Pizza is thin-crust but the ends are fluffy. The key to veggie pizzas is to get the saltiness right since there is no pepperoni, sausage, or other meats. In my experience, this is best done with using sun-dried tomatoes, which Stonefire uses. But sometimes pizza joints do not cut/julienne their sun-dried tomatoes, which is horrible. Go ahead, try eating an uncut sun dried tomato. Stonefire slices up the sun-dried tomatoes, thank you. I believe Stonefire also uses fresh veggies and cuts them into small, appropriate sizes in-house (i.e. not big honking chunks of veggies that leak their juice all over and fall off the slice when you pick it up). This makes the pizza taste even better!!! I couldn't detect anything that came out of a can or was frozen. Mmm mmm good. The salad I had was acceptable, but not something I would order again. read more

Customer service was great. Everyone was very warm and friendly and came by to check on us regularly. The food was very good but not "out of this world delicious". I would go back with the family. read more

Thee best tri-tip and Caesar salad!

We went there yesterday for a family dinner!! The service was very poor for the amount of money we spent!! Tri tip was bland no flavor ordered there south chicken salad that was watery!! Needs more flavor and good servers!!! Not going there for sure!! read more

I ordered the lunch special tortilla soup, salad, and breadsticks combo and it was pretty good. The soup I thought was great but the salad and breadsticks were not the best, but I will be coming back to try some other items on the menu such as the pizzas! read more

We went there last Friday. Good experience! The small size salad was good to share for two as side dish (decent size). The BQQ tri-tip was tender and delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful :) We got a FREE BROWNIE cuz they didn't sell them well and they were closing for the night. Definitely coming here again. read more

Stonefire is my go-to for fast, easy, good food. It never disappoints. My favorite is the cauliflower salad. It's made well. I normally don't like cauliflower, but this makes me crave them. read more

Love this stone fire. I'm a big fan of their pesto pasta and Caesar salad. They cater my work at least once a month and it's always great and the people are always so nice. read more

I have wanted to like this place (great radio commercial testimonials, BTW), I've been 3 times in 10 years and always left unimpressed. Last time however was plain not good. It had been a while and I forgot why we hadn't been in a while. The radio promos made me think maybe the food had gotten better. My family of six dropped a wad on salads, meats, bread and drinks. The salads were inedible. I sent one back because it seriously tasted like it had been dropped on the floor (I NEVER send things back). I asked for another type, just in case. The second was no better. But i knew it wasn't the salad type at that point. The meats (we did both chicken and several types of beef) were average and the BBQ sauce was just not that flavorful. My kids wouldn't eat it after a taste and we ended up buying fast food on the way home. My wife and I ended up tossing all the doggy bag food because we had no desire to eat it. 2 average experiences and 1 horrible one means we won't be returning. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. New to the area and only knew about from the Yelp app. Saw lots of good reviews and good looking food pics. My wife and I both got the BBQ chop salad and a small cup of chicken tortilla soup to go. We both had several changes to the salads leaving some things off and different dressings. They were busy and we still got our food very quickly and everything was exactly right. The soup was definitely made from scratch and was excellent. The salads were the biggest $10 salads we have ever had and was loaded with fresh ingredients. We will for sure be back to try more. read more

i always come here for lunches with coworkers. This place gives good value combos. The price is perfect for lunch time. I like their meats and salad selections. Garlic bread is amazing here. If you love garlic bread, you must try it here. read more

We go here once in a while .. I like the greek salad and pesto pasta .. They also do good salman .. Its good place to go for quick lunch bite with coworkers or friends since you can pay and order seperately and not have to wait around for the check in the end .. Anyways its worth a try ! read more

A perfect place for a large parties that are short on time and want a place that doesn't scrimp on taste. Pastas, salads and breadsticks, even soups and other items make me think it is a great fusion of Olive Garden, CPK and order to be delivered type places. The portions are gigantic and the food is fresh. There is wine! My only gripe is that the staff is a bit slow to help out as it is not a sit down and be waited on place. Bbq chopped chicken salad was delicious. My son thought the chicken strips were really good. We will go back. read more

Awesome yummy food. Unbeatable prices always friendly great service. You can't go wrong with stonefire take-out.

Ordered take out for a Father's Day get together. Went straight from the restaurant to our kitchen. When I went to serve the salad there was a DEAD LADYBUG in it. Dead ladybug, in salad. Needless to say everyone was grossed out and had a loss of appetite. At minimum didn't trust the rest of the food. read more

One of the best places to eat in the Fallbrook mall. Very clean, quick and of a good quality. Traditional food only, nothing very fancy. Recommend highly. read more

The worse chicken and cheeseburger I ate. It's so horrible. I don't know how there is such a huge line and so many people. I got the tri tip and boneless chicken and it tasted like a$$. My friend got the cheeseburger and it wasn't even cooked and was burnt on the top. So disgusting. I think I will throw up everything. read more

Horrible meal tonight. Dry trip tip and it was cold. My mashed potatoes was a mix of dry bottom crust and old green onions with sour potatoes. My wife asked for a container for her soup and it took so long to get, when we got it the lid was dirty. Her extra lemon garlic sauce looked like something out of an old grills grease trap. DONT COME TO THIS STONEFIRE. the last two times our meal was horrible. I should've known. read more

Worst service ever for breakfast. The place was completely dead and it took forever to get our food. The guy ringing us up forgot to take my order after I repeated it twice. Needless to say I will never be coming back. I left this place starving after never getting my food. read more

This was my very first visit to this restaurant and I was beyond impressed. Menu is very extensive, service is great and the food is clean and delicious. I had the Mediterranean chicken salad, a side of the farro salad and some hummus as an appetizer. Everything was outstanding. I am going to go back soon to try some of their cauliflower dishes as those sounded amazing, as well as their ribs and chicken. I have had some friends tell me about their family meals, which I will also take advantage of as well as soon as the location near my house opens this Spring. read more

Usually come here for lunch about twice a week. The lunch specials are a pretty good deal and there is a variety to choose from. I usually get the lemon garlic chicken with a side salad which also comes with a breadstick. The food is a good serving size and should leave you full and satisfied. I did try the farro side but it is a bit too sour for my taste. Overall quick and friendly service. read more

The portions were good and the food was very flavorful, I just didnt like that type of food. The strong garlic and lemon flavors that I had in the tri-tip and lemon/garlic chicken was just a tad to much. I like my food flavorful but not over flavored. But then again, that's just me, this place was a great place and had what a typical family would like (I had two small kids who ate chicken fingers) but the food was just not to my liking because of personal food preference. read more

Went here last night for dinner and was directed by friends and yelpers to try the tri-tip. I was in a salad mood and was amazed at the selection and sizes of salads they had. I usually get cezar but ordered the cartwheel and was very flavorful and topped off with tri-tip and breadsticks. Definitly check this place if you havent been. read more
