So much food for, again, super cheap. And everyone loves it. Ton of leftovers. One tiny issue was that one tray leaked and spilled on my car seat. But not sure if that's my fault. Maybe the guy who loaded my car should know that might happen, and put it on the floor instead, but I can't really blame them for that. We go here once in a while .. I like the greek salad and pesto pasta .. They also do good salman .. Its good place to go for quick lunch bite with coworkers or friends since you can pay and order seperately and not have to wait around for the check in the end .. Anyways its worth a try ! read more

Stonefire Grill has been a consistent place for us for many years. Most recently, I went there for a casual wedding rehearsal dinner and take out for our extended family and both times they were excellent. The value can't be beat and and the quality's pretty good too. Although they don't take reservations, they were pretty helpful when we told them we were having about 50 people there. We couldn't reserve the patio so we just had a few people get there 30 minutes early to set it aside. Last week, we picked up food for our family (6 adults + 2 kids) and got their stimulus meal package. Not a bad deal! We got 2 of them and it was more than enough food with leftovers. Each meal includes 1 of the meats, breadsticks, some come with a small pizza, and a salad for 20 bucks each! So we spent $40 to feed 8 of us, not bad at all (esp. since we could've feed at least 1 more person). read more

5 stars for the BBQ chopped salad with chicken. Here's what I do - Right after I get off work at 5PM, I give this place a call and order the BBQ chopped salad with chicken. I get there in 15 min, my salad is ready to go. I take it home and enjoy the Lakers. The salad is only $7, and if you don't drench it with the ranch they give you, you have a healthy, filling, very satisfying dinner. Tip: They don't give you utensils - you have to ask for them. Kind of annoying, but once you get used to remembering to ask for utensils, it becomes okay. read more

Cartwheel salad - 2 stars. Radish overkill. Tri tip roast - 4 stars. Surprisingly good for what I expected. Pesto pasta - 5 stars. My fav here, dunno what it is but I love it! Overall more like a 3.5 rating but will have to come back for another try. read more

My office staff and I often eat at Stonefire because it is one of the finer local Irvine establishments where you can get a tasty meal at a tasty price and walk out satisfied. 1/2 My staff raves about the lunch special lemon chicken with tri-tip and the other 1/2 raves about the bbq chicken and tri-tip. Recently they added a 2 quinoa salads to their broad salad offering. The healthy hybrid salad is simply AMAZING. Now I go 2-3 times a week finding myself salivating for this hybrid salad. Their breadsticks are to die for and their pulled pork sandwiches are heaven. We are often greeted by JASON, who I have to say gives incredible customer service. Since we eat there often Jason makes us feel like family. I love the food but I also love how welcomed and comfortable we are when we're there because of Jason ...... I loooove stonefire- and honestly I didn't think I would. But honestly it's cheap for legitimate quality. I love the cartwheel salad and I either get tri tip on top (a petite with tri tip is only like $7 and is plenty of food) or the tri tip grill plate. I love the BBQ tri tip. The chicken is also really good there and the bread sticks are killer. Be careful it does get busy sometimes (holiday weekends etc.)- and it's always really busy for take out orders so make sure to call ahead! read more

Came here with my cousins who just got off the plane at LAX for a visit to the US. Unfortunately, their English wasn't quite sufficient, so I had to translate and order for them, but the cashier was very patient and upbeat, and I must admit, I don't tend to notice customer service often but this really stood out. Mad props to him. I've come here often, and I often get the Tri Tips meal. My mom is a fan of the salmon, and I really like the options they offer you with your meal, which is completely affordable and usually leaves me with leftovers as I am not a big eater. With the choice of how you want your meat cooked along with the choice of salad and a gazillion sides (the mashed potatoes are excellent, might I say. It's just like they made it fresh from a potato - in fact, they probably did), not to mention tasty breadsticks, 8-11 bucks a meal just blows my mind. I also really like garlic, so when I first heard they offered pepper garlic for the tri tips and lemon garlic for the chicken. 10/10 Would come again. read more

I have been here a few times and their food is pretty good. My favorite thing on the menu is the tomesto pasta and the kids meal Mac and cheese is amazing. Stonefire grill has great, fresh food. I always go here with my girlfriend, and we get a half chicken aka carte, a petite salad (which is more than enough for two) and a half basket of breadsticks. With water, the bill never exceeds $16. Not bad! read more

I have never written a negative review in my life and never planned on writing one as I am not one to ever say anything negative, only positive. I am still hesitating to write this...I decided to give this place a try since I had it once at a friend's party and enjoyed the food, thoroughly. Unfortunately, when I went to eat yesterday, I was displeased. First, I was completely shocked by the price. Almost 12 dollars for chicken and mashed potatoes?! "A meal" but it didn't even come with a drink. Okay, I get it. High quality food is expensive. Chicken was a little dry and I was really sad to find a little hair in my mashed potatoes though :( I know I should have said something but no one came by our table and I just brushed it off since I am not one for confrontation. I am only posting this in hopes of helping to prevent this from happening to any other customers. I will not be going back unfortunately though. read more

I would actually give this about 3 1/2 stars because I'm not sure it's quite deserving of a 4 but definitely not in the 3 category. The last two times we have ordered from stone fire has been to go. last night, the quality, taste and cut of the tri-tip was VERY good but for some reason the breadsticks were very bland. In addition, the mashed potatoes were chunky and just not very tasty. We will return but in no rush to do so. read more

I have had the veggie pizza without cheese and a southwestern salad. Not sure of the names for these two menu items because my partner orders them for takeout. Stonefire's veggie pizza sans cheese is one of the best veggie pizzas sans cheese I have ever had!!!!! Lots of veggies, good tasting sauce. Pizza is thin-crust but the ends are fluffy. The key to veggie pizzas is to get the saltiness right since there is no pepperoni, sausage, or other meats. In my experience, this is best done with using sun-dried tomatoes, which Stonefire uses. But sometimes pizza joints do not cut/julienne their sun-dried tomatoes, which is horrible. Go ahead, try eating an uncut sun dried tomato. Stonefire slices up the sun-dried tomatoes, thank you. I believe Stonefire also uses fresh veggies and cuts them into small, appropriate sizes in-house (i.e. not big honking chunks of veggies that leak their juice all over and fall off the slice when you pick it up). This makes the pizza taste even better!!! I couldn't detect anything that came out of a can or was frozen. Mmm mmm good. The salad I had was acceptable, but not something I would order again. read more

Frankly everything was rather blah and lacked depth of flavor. We ordered the family combo with baby back ribs, Tri tip, Greek salad and breadsticks. Salad was mostly lettuce and nothing special. Ribs were tender but no smoke flavor and the BBQ sauce was weak and too sweet. Trip tip was tender but again lacked flavor. Overall I don't see myself coming back. read more

I have wanted to like this place (great radio commercial testimonials, BTW), I've been 3 times in 10 years and always left unimpressed. Last time however was plain not good. It had been a while and I forgot why we hadn't been in a while. The radio promos made me think maybe the food had gotten better. My family of six dropped a wad on salads, meats, bread and drinks. The salads were inedible. I sent one back because it seriously tasted like it had been dropped on the floor (I NEVER send things back). I asked for another type, just in case. The second was no better. But i knew it wasn't the salad type at that point. The meats (we did both chicken and several types of beef) were average and the BBQ sauce was just not that flavorful. My kids wouldn't eat it after a taste and we ended up buying fast food on the way home. My wife and I ended up tossing all the doggy bag food because we had no desire to eat it. 2 average experiences and 1 horrible one means we won't be returning. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday. New to the area and only knew about from the Yelp app. Saw lots of good reviews and good looking food pics. My wife and I both got the BBQ chop salad and a small cup of chicken tortilla soup to go. We both had several changes to the salads leaving some things off and different dressings. They were busy and we still got our food very quickly and everything was exactly right. The soup was definitely made from scratch and was excellent. The salads were the biggest $10 salads we have ever had and was loaded with fresh ingredients. We will for sure be back to try more. read more

This place used to be better. I used to drive all the way from Ladera Ranch just to get this food... But probably the last 3 times I have been the fold just doesn't taste the same. Always comes out cold now and breadsticks aren't as good as it used to be either...
