BBQ is always a hit for my family but it is a hit or miss here on taste. Tri-tip and ribs combo usually very tasty. Great salads too! The staff is almost always friendly and ready to assist you. read more

We mainly go here b/c my kids LOVE the mac and cheese and the pasta maranara. I have to order extra sauce for that b/c there is never enough for the massive amount of pasta they give you. the bread stix are good. tri tip is moist and perfect. i don't however like that they serve the meat on a metal tray...all by itself...alone on this big metal platter. when i go to cut it up for my kids, the metal knife and the metal plate get into a screaching match and i hate that. can you maybe serve the meat on a white plate, a smaller one so it doesn't look so lonely out there? thanks! Oh! I do love that i can order everything to go and i have never ever had them mess up an order!! Kudos b/c we can be kind of picky!! read more

Best tri tip and garlic lemon chicken ... sides are amazing too .. I come here a lot

Tuesday 6/26, three of us from work went to have some lunch. Having gone to Stonefire in the past we've found the chicken, Tri Tip, Breadsticks, and Greek salad very good so here we go again. Had the 'stimulus package' which is a good deal. Tri Tip Pizza with Cilantro was really good. Breadsticks were good, Garlic chicken disappointing as the white meat very dry and hardly any flavor. What had been my favorite, and the reason I suggested we go to Stonefire, was the Greek salad. Nothing more that lettuce, dressing, but where are the olives and Feta cheese? I stopped one of the servers walking by our table and asked him what type salad this was; and they replied 'Greek'. Both he, and another server told me the way they make the salad has changed. They both invited me to dig down to the bottom of the metal bowl and that's where you'll find some pieces of olives. So disappointing!!! On a side note, the others that went to Stonefire with me, they both liked the Pizza, Breadsticks, and the 'dark' meat of the chicken. Next time someone mentions Stonefire Grill, I'll opt out.. read more

Great food ... Love the stimulus package ...pizza, salad, bread sticks, lemon chicken doesn't get better

This place loses a star simply because we don't like the whole ordering process. REAL challenging when dealing with a group of kids. The food is SO good. We can put up with the ordering nonsense. read more

LOVE this place. One of my favorite places to eat. Good quality food for a good price! I haven't tasted anything that I haven't absolutely loved! read more

I don't think it's on the menu but we always order the Stimulus Package. You get a whole chicken, breadsticks, a salad and a pizza. It is super yummy and always a hit. It is probably the best deal at Stonefire. read more

Meats are just ok. The place reminded me of a Pat and Oscars, which I'm not crazy about either. The tri tip, ribs and salmon were cheap, so for the price its fine. Their side dishes only consisted of a few items, the mashed potatoes were good. One big plus is that you order at a counter, so tipping is optional. All the employees were very nice and well deserved their tip that is split amongst them. read more

Awesome place with amazing customer service. My girlfriend and I came in around 2 for a quick lunch. We asked the cashier for a moment to look at menu and when the manager came back some time later, she insisted on complimentary food for the wait. Was not necessary at all, but was pleased nonetheless and the food was awesome as always! read more

Tried this place a couple times, ordering different food. the only thing worth eating was the bread sticks. The ribs were plain gross with tons of back fat and hardly any meat. For the price, you'd expect to be waited on. Instead, you do all the work! It's super loud, you order with cashier before sitting down, you have to get your own table setting at a station, and get up for refills on drinks-kinda reminded me of a fast food joint in terms of service. Won't be returning. read more

Love BBQ ribs and pizza. Simply great food and price is hard to beat. This will be my regular joint for BBQ baby back ribs.

Stonefire Grill is our go-to family restaurant. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, good family environment. read more

Amazing food! Chandler the manager is awesome! Super helpful and personable! Definitely a great place for catering as well

The food is most times good rather than great, but the portions are incredible! The breadsticks are pretty awesome, and I'm a fan of the tortilla soup and tri-tip. read more

The food is average. The service is good. Feels like a Buffett trying to be a regular diner. They need to be one or the other. Not the cleanliness either. Seems to have a lot of employees standing around that could be doing something. read more

I recommend Stonefire Grill to hungry people, who enjoy friendly service, lots of options, good prices and great food. This was our first visit and we were so pleasantly surprised. We were just checking yelp to find a local restaurant in which to celebrate my birthday and ended up here. We are glad we did! Between five of us, we ordered the tri-tip Cobb Salad, pizza, lemon-garlic chicken, mashed potatoes and bread sticks. The pizza was pretty good, and everything was simply delicious. We even had left-overs to take with us. We plan to go again, soon. Thanks, Stonefire Grill, for a great experience. read more

So this place sucks. Ordered 2 chicken pestos... Baked rigatoni, and a salad... And everything came out but the actual entree.... I'm at like 45 minutes in my meal for a sandwhich to come out... Unreasonable... read more

Typical Irvine: over priced and low quality. Basically a family friendly mix between BJ's and Sizzler. Definitely not worth the price or the trip. The staff was nice enough and helpful with adjustments (such as salad dressing on the side) so I can't say you will be treated poorly. Again, just a place for people with high incomes and lowly tastes. read more

Okay this place has great tasting food! My sister in law took the whole family here a couple times and every single time it was great! My favorite are the ribs and tri tip! The salad is also good and if your craving pizza they're pizza is pretty good as well I have nothing bad to say about this place! Try it out :) read more

Omg is all I have to say this place is awesome. I have tried numerous items on the menu yummy. The tri-tip is so good. And the pizza is to die for very good. Can not wait to go again. read more

The BBQ chicken and Tri-tip is really good here!! Also, my fave is the Mac and cheese. I love the style of the place in that you order at the counter and then go sit down (kind of a hybrid restaurant). It's a more casual but still has the "restauranty" vibe. Love it! read more

Stone fire is a great place I love its tri-tip. The only thing I am not so happy about is its price which is little bit expensive in my opinion. read more

Had a big party. Tri tip, chicken and pizza was good. Only problem was some of the chicken was raw and bloody by the joints. Manager took all the raw chicken and offered to re-cook all chicken from 8 peoples plate. So I ask him how he would know who's chicken belongs to who and if his plan to re-cook would not contaminate the grill by putting a half eaten chicken back on the grill. That Q's change his mind and delivered replacement chicken fully cook and discarded the raw chicken. Stonefire Grill - please review food cooking technique and remind staff never to re-cook half eaten food back on the grill when peoples saliva has been in it. read more

We always get the Stimulus Package with tri-tip. Feeds my family of 5 for a great price! My 3 boys love their breadsticks and Caesar salad. Tri-tip is usually tender but had it a couple times when it was so chewy we couldn't finish it. Environment is very noisy so perfect for families with kids!! read more

Updating my review because of an issue I keep having. Food is frequently served in an opposite order. The past 4 times I got my tritip first and my salad and breadsticks about 6 minutes later. This is really annoying. The food is still amazing though. read more

OH BABY. I could eat here everyday.. everything is so delicious. From the pesto pasta, trip tip, and salads. This restaurant is great for dates, family meals and work meetings. I crave their food like 4 out of the 7 days of the week. I have got take out a few times & it does take 15-20 minutes, but I don't mind running a few errands in target while my food is being made. The food never fails me when I a sit down or take out. Stonefire Grill you are too yummy! read more

Great food, great service. Ive never had a bad meal there.

Pretty good! I like it way better than wood ranch, better flavors. Very good for a cookie cutter type fast food bbq place. Its not real TX southern bbq but for Cali its pretty good. read more

When I think of BBQ, I think of excellent cuts of meat, mesquite wood smoked, tasty tangy interesting flavored sauce that makes your mouth water until you eat too much. I was really craving good BBQ. I decided to try this place after reading some good reviews, and it was nearby. I feel bad to say that I was disappointed. I bought a 1/2 Tri-Tip, 1/2 Baby Back Ribs, 1/2 Chicken orders, and garlic mashed potatoes. The quality of meats were good. But there was not a hint of mesquite wood smoked flavor to be found. Not a tiny bit. None! It could be just me, but the mesquite smoked flavor in BBQ makes or breaks the deal. Before I wrote this review, I double-checked that their website states their meats are mesquite smoked, and it does. The Tri-Tip was cooked rather nicely, medium-rare as I requested. The Baby Back Rib meat had a nice texture. The chicken was cooked nicely. All the meats were browned nicely, with attractive grill marks. But again, no mesquite smoked flavor. It was as if they were cooked on a gas grill. The BBQ sauce was very boring, not tangy, not interesting, not unique. There are sauces in the market better than this one. I expect a restaurant to have a unique and savory BBQ sauce recipe. The garlic mash potatoes lacked flavor as well. The consistency was nice, but not a lot of garlic or flavor to make it unique, interesting or satisfying. I ordered quite a bit of food for 2 people, excited to have some leftovers for lunch. The next day, I'm thinking about the leftovers in my fridge, not excited, trying to think of a way to 'spruce them up'. That's not good BBQ. I don't like to write sad reviews, but I'm getting tired of mediocre food at restaurants. There is a great opportunity here for improvement. One that probably won't require much cost in a nice BBQ sauce recipe, process (real mesquite smoking during cooking the meat), and mashed potatoes recipe. But the difference could be huge. I want Storefire to improve. Their establishment is nice, and people were friendly. Good BBQ needs to leave you craving more, wishing you could eat more after you've already eaten too much. I'll have to go back to my reliable source. read more

Frankly everything was rather blah and lacked depth of flavor. We ordered the family combo with baby back ribs, Tri tip, Greek salad and breadsticks. Salad was mostly lettuce and nothing special. Ribs were tender but no smoke flavor and the BBQ sauce was weak and too sweet. Trip tip was tender but again lacked flavor. Overall I don't see myself coming back. read more

Really good food. you get a lot of quality food for a very fair price. I went there for the first time a few weeks ago, and you can bet i will go back again. read more

The tri-tip is fabulous! The salad is great. The grilled veggies were tasty. Not much to really complain about? Maybe no TV's and self service for dinnerware etc. Not a big deal. I believe it's more of a take out spot. Enjoy! read more

You order after standing in line looking at a menu through a glass case. I ordered salmon in the garlic lemon flavor. It was pricey... Especially for only getting a piece of salmon.it does t come with a side. But I ordered a salad. I had to put the fish on a different plate because the lemon was so over powering and their was so much extra juice on the plate. I don't know if I'd come back. Flavor was not quite worth the cost. read more

Excellent. I don't typically leave reviews for restaurants, because I tend to experiment quite a bit with food, but Stonefire blew my taste buds away. Tri-tip steak, and any of the pasta options- you can't go wrong. Great service, absolutely delicious food, and wonderful environment. Only reason I kept myself from giving this place a 5/5 was the meat not made well done, when I specifically asked for that to be done. Regardless of that issue, still delicious, and will definitely return in the future. read more

Have I not reviewed stone fire grill yet? Well they're all good. You should know that already. Awesome food. Big portions. For cheap. But where I think they really kick ass is catering. So much food for, again, super cheap. And everyone loves it. Ton of leftovers. One tiny issue was that one tray leaked and spilled on my car seat. But not sure if that's my fault. Maybe the guy who loaded my car should know that might happen, and put it on the floor instead, but I can't really blame them for that. And it has nothing to do with the food or service which is awesome. read more

We love Stonefire! My husband and I are regulars, usually ordering take out. The staff are organized, efficient, friendly and very helpful. We love the huge salads (the Cobb is my usual) and the chicken! Great option for our busy weeknight dinners. read more

Definitely one of our go to places for small and large gatherings. The tri tip is really good and, it's the perfect combination with pizza, bread sticks and salad. They also are very supportive of the community when working on fundraisers and other events. read more
