Pretty good for groups, really good breadsticks that last toll the next day. Tri tip was very tender too read more

I always go to this place during my lunch hour because it's close by and the lunch specials are pretty awesome. I really liked it until recently when I found material that is used to wash all DIRTY dishes in my salad. Pretty disgusting-not to mention unsanitary and unsafe. Had I swallowed some of it I could have easily choked. Not sure if this place is the cleanest. Many other options close by such as Islands, Chipotle, Veggie Grill and Wing Stop! No problems there. :) read more

We shared the the shrimp with quinoa and an order of bread sticks. This is the first time I have had quinoa, and it is delicious! The shrimp were well sized, tender and flavorful. The dish comes with roasted garlic and an olive oil/lemon sauce with red pepper flakes and parsley(?). The bread sticks perfectly accompanied the shrimp dish. We will definitely go here again. There was one drawback. The shrimp dish comes in three versions, a small (with eight shrimp), as a meal (with salad), and a large (with sixteen shrimp). Our meal only had 15 shrimp. I am sure if I had said something another shrimp would have been provided, but I did't feel like it, and they should have caught it, so one star off for not catching it. We will still come here again. read more

Smaller portions Prices went way up Stimulus package is expensive and pizza is a small Don't go the way of lucilles and wood ranch stonefire. Don't get greedy. read more

The food is overpriced and not great. The pasta is very al dente and the salads are not brazenly fresh like the prices would lead you to believe. Be careful when you get forks out of the containers they direct you to -- they are filthy. See photo of two different forks we grabbed. read more

Stonefire Grill - Two different forks we pulled from the utensils area. Scary that one has hair or what not and the other leftover food. - American Near Me - Irvine, California

I was introduced to this place my freshman year and have loved it since! It's a good place to go with a group. The tri tip is amazing! But my favorites are still the mashed potatoes and the salad because the basics are the best. The pizza here is also really good. I usually get the medium sized. That's enough to feed to people. The prices are fair especially if you split amongst your group. The service here is almost always on point as well. They do offer pick up order which is nice cause this place can get crowded. read more

Good food, consistent service, and fair price. I had the tri-tip and ribs platter and my only comment is that the beef came a little bit colder than I was expecting it but not a killer deal. Quinoa salad was pretty good. Very good for a casual lunch on a regular work day read more

I've been going to Stonefire for years and they're amazing! Especially great for large groups! Pro tip: Get the "stimulus" deal. Easily feeds 3-4 people as you get a pizza, a meat, salad, and breadsticks. The food is always delicious. All the staff is super friendly. I've come with large groups (of 15+ people) and their service is just as good if you go with a small group of 2 people. Which is super rare. This past weekend, when we came in our pizza took an extra 20 minutes? This was the first time anything like this had ever happened. Just when we started to get a irritated the server appeared with our pizza. Was super friendly, apologized for our wait, and offered us a free dessert for having to wait so long. We never ever had to breath a word to complain about the wait. She had SUPER customer service skills. read more

We were starving and decided to come here since it has good reviews. We ordered the baby back ribs, steak and cheese sandwich, and Mac and cheese. I liked the ribs, my bf hated the steak and cheese sandwich and the Mac and cheese was decent. However there was a cute little dead lady bug in my salad and I just completely lost my appetite after that...I'm sure it was in their bulk lettuce packaging and didn't fly into the kitchen from outside which is why I wasn't really mad about it. The manager offered us a free cheesecake which was cool. I guess beware while eating your salad! Lol read more

This place has been there for years, and friends have recommended it, but we'd never tried it before now. The fact that it's been there for so long is an indicator of it's long-term quality, value, and popularity. Walked in, and there was enough space to peruse their menu without feeling like you're holding everybody else up. This is a great challenge that is handled quite well. Their staff is super friendly, helpful, and not pushy. They have been trained well, despite probably a high turnover as teenagers. Between the three of us, we ordered a combination tri-tip and ribs, with a cartwheel salad, and a half chicken dinner with a cartwheel salad. The meals came with their famous bread sticks. All of the meat was tender and juicy. The tri-tip lives up to the hype. It came with a scoop of what we first thought was herb butter, but turned out to be some kind of cheese mixture. The ribs fell off the bone. The lemon garlic chicken had a heap of garlic chunks that should provide vampire insurance. The salad was good quality greens with enough other stuff to make it really interesting. The portions are large, and we had leftover salad. Yes, we would come back, again. read more

Favorite restaurant ever. You can't go wrong with the Lemon Garlic Roasted Chicken, the Cartwheel Salad, and the half garlic butter/half BBQ tri-tip that just melts in your mouth. This place is a must go for sure. Portions are large and meant for sharing, definitely a family/group setting. read more

I really like this place, but have to knock off a star because something always lacks every time. My to go items are the cartwheel or Caesar salad, tomesto, mac and cheese and breadsticks. Service can be super slow at times and often they forget to bring out an item or bring it super late (like at the end of the meal). Once they forgot to bring my my teriyaki salmon. Both hubby and I had finished our salad and breadsticks and he also finished his pasta when we asked about my salmon. Turns out they forgot to make it for us so since we were at the end of our meal, we asked them to refund us. On more than one occasion they have forgot our breadsticks (come on now!), and most recently (last week) I had placed an order for pickup for a kids meal and cartwheel salad. Kids meal comes with drink, pasta and breadstick. I got home and did not find my child's drink nor were there any utensils or napkins packed in our order. Simply a salad, pasta and wrapped breadstick. Ugh, so annoying because it wasn't even busy when I went to pick up my order. read more

Craved a bbq chicken salad and came here for the first time. I heard their food was good. I didn't know you walk up and order and the. Soy down and they bring it to you. I recently went to a party catered by stone fire grill and the service was top knotch ! Food was great and the servers even took the time to clean up empty plates and offer seconds. I have never see two ladies hustle harder I wish I would have got there name to call in and let you know how pleased we were. read more

Good food. Remindes me of a Panera but the food is better and they have beer and wine. Fair priced

Delicious! The "small" salad is enormous so be sure to order the personal size if you just want one meal's worth.

Awesome service , great food. Shoutout to there staff ,Amir, Parker , Naiara and Kat they did a great job with our whole volleyball team! We will be back this trip. read more

Don't waste your time or money on their sorry excuse for pasta. It's just basic sauce from the grocery store and rigatoni. You're better off making it at home. read more

We had a very large party and the restaurants was packed. Parker and Michael were very helpful in trying to accommodate our party. Once seated they came and ensured we were doing ok. Staff even came and offered us some brownies later that evening. Restaurant was almost closing and Coyotl came and told us we could stay as long as we wanted. Good food, great service which makes for a perfect combination! read more

My first time coming here and I was so excited cause my brother loves this place. But as a first timer it was really a disappointment. I ordered 1slab of baby back ribs for take out. The ribs is not fully cooked and still red inside and it's tough. But The outside has the char from the grill which it looks delicious but the bottom is raw it only covered with the seasoning. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture of it so everyone can see it. I didn't thought about that not until it was already thrown in the garbage. I got a potato salad on the side and there's no taste at all you only taste the potato but not the dressing. What a waste of money. I live about 2 hrs away from this place so not very convenient to come back and show the Manager the quality of food that I received. Piece of advise when you order take out specially to this restaurant make sure you check and open the container to see if the meat is cooked. It's embarrassing but sometimes you have to do it. read more

Not what I expected. Order at the counter, then sit down. it reminded me of Dickey's, if anyone's ever been there. Food was decent enough though. Take-out is a good idea. read more

I did not know what to expect from this place and I was pleasantly surprised. Don't be fooled by the non waiter service. You order at the front desk and take a seat. The fun begins as soon as the food arrives. The food was really good. The tri-tip was outstanding, the chicken and ribs were very good. As well as the salad and pizza. A very good setting for the kids and adults alike. We will be back again soon! read more

5 stars for the BBQ chopped salad with chicken. Here's what I do - Right after I get off work at 5PM, I give this place a call and order the BBQ chopped salad with chicken. I get there in 15 min, my salad is ready to go. I take it home and enjoy the Lakers. The salad is only $7, and if you don't drench it with the ranch they give you, you have a healthy, filling, very satisfying dinner. Tip: They don't give you utensils - you have to ask for them. Kind of annoying, but once you get used to remembering to ask for utensils, it becomes okay. read more

Stonefire Grill is AMAZING! The food was great, the service was amazing, and the food was well priced based on the amount given. Me and my friend got a small marinara pasta, 6 breadsticks, and a small mashed potatoes and went home with a full stomach AND leftovers. Love this place! read more

Yum!!!! Had a taco salad (Small size: feeds 1-2) and half order of ribs. Yum again! It was more than enough food for two people. Never knew about this place until seeing it on yelp today... so glad I found it! Will be back many times! The food was very tasty and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. read more

Been here before so I can't complain much. I love the food and the generous servings. Tonight was a disappointment though. Our server was kinda inattentive. First she brought me the wrong wine. Then she brought the salad and mac n cheese without the serving utensils. Would have stiffed the tip but it would be an injustice to the other workers who treated us nicely. read more

long story short: good quality food, large portions, wont break the bank. im a newbie in irvine and i stumbled upon this place thanks to yelp... i wanted a good, no frills dinner and i was led here. i wasnt really sure what to expect but its kind of like a cafeteria style dining experience where you order your food at the register once you enter the restaurant. then, you are given a number and you find a place to park and your food is brought out to you (very much like corner bakery, nordstrom cafe, etc). my husband and i ordered a pizza and salad to share and we were stuffed! my only complaint - it was pretty crowded so when we did find a table after someone left, we had to ask muliple times to get it cleaned off so we werent eating with someone else's leftovers and spilled crumbs on our table. not a huge dealbreaker or anything... just annoying. but i guess for the price point, service isnt going to be the quickest or greatest. read more

I am here to sing the praises of the cartwheel salad as I sit at my desk eating it for the approx. 25th time. Against corporate policy? I don't care. By far my favorite salad on the menu. Fresh, shredded romaine and iceberg blend, garbanzos, radishes, beets, diced tomatoes, black olives, tortillas strips, and the tastiest cilantro dressing you've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I usually get a couple breadsticks and they're pretty good, but it's this salad that conitnually brings me back. read more

real good. if you go too late they might RUN OUT OF TRI-TIP, RIBS, etc. which tells me that they order meat on the reg and don't keep it frozen in the back... mmmm... meat. order ahead and take home. try the breadsticks. read more

The breadsticks are really good!! The ribs are alright. The BBQ chicken was pretty good but honestly go to Lucilles. It was just a dinner date with my boyfriend and I and we spent the same amount at Lucilles and got more sides. read more

I am not a huge "yelper." I only find the need to make a comment when I have either received exceptionally good service/product, or when I have received exceptionally bad service/product. In this case, we tried Stonefire grill after 2 1/2 years living in Irvine. Boy, this place was packed, but the food was terrible. We started off with the breadsticks and salad which were good, so we were looking forward to a great meal. The tri-tip, ribs, and chicken we received for our main course were a huge disappointment. The chicken was dry, the ribs were tough and barely edible, and the tri-tip had no flavor. The meal for the 2 of us cost $35 and was not worth a cent. read more

I have tried just about every lunch special, they are all top quality food at excellent prices and very generous portions. If you get the BBQ chopped salad for lunch, try the petite portion (its huge) with tri-tip (a must have)! read more

Great Service. Tasty Breadsticks. Best Chicken. Awesome Salad. Awesome Pizza. It was late and we were craving for pizza. I yelped our answer to Stonefire Grill. We came in the half hour before they start closing the place. Overwhelmed with the menu to choose from. Waiter saved the day which he suggest getting a meal consisting a whole Lemon Garlic Chicken, 8 Slice Pizza with 2 toppings, 8 Garlic Cheese Breadsticks, and BBQ Chopped Salad with tri-tip for about $30, tax included. That makes $10 each since there's three of us. It was from a coupon offer but he was awesome giving it to us. Chicken was really moist and really lemony(be forewarned). They gave lots of garlic and cilantro. Its a messy presentation though, but I can careless. Salad was surprisingly good. Their tri-tip steak pieces in the salad was so delicious. Though were the actually two spotlights in my opinion. Worth my $10. read more

Love the bread sticks and the tritip. Pizza is decent, I would say average to above average. We do enjoy eating here. Its like a Pat and Oscars with good food. read more

I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars. It's an order at the counter and they bring you your food place. Overall, the food was good (better than similar sit downs in the same price range such as TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, etc.). We were here for dinner. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs, which came with a salad. I also ordered a side of vegetables which had grilled tomatoes, zucchini, egg plant, mushrooms and roast red pepper. I thought all of it was very good. The ribs were better than a lot of places, including some chain BBQ places. My friend had the salmon, which also came with a salad. He liked it. Both dishes also came with bread sticks. As you would expect, everything is self service except for busing your dishes. It was pretty crowded with a couple of larger birthday parties, the usual dinner crowd and a bunch of kids running around. Overall, it was good meal for the price. I would go again if in the area. read more

Dare I say theme park food? Well that's what the food here at Stonefire reminds me of but I mean that in the most positive way. I love their grilled chicken and steak tri-tip. Breadsticks are always served hot and "fresh" (not sure if they are actually made fresh or just baked from frozen), Salads are, well, salads (which I am not a big fan of anything salad). Had lunch here 2x already and this place is always nice and not too crowded. Service could be enhanced but otherwise not too bad. I am still salivating over those juicy tri-tip roasts!!!! read more

Been here a couple times before. Perfect comfort food and again no wait or lines on a weeknight. Did the Stimilus package with tri-tip, caesar salad, breadsticks and a sausage mushroom pizza. After reading so many positive Yelps, finally had a chance to try Stonefire Grill. We live close by so ordered the Stimulus package for carryout. Total price $26.99 (includes tax). Got tri-tip half BBQ and half garlic. Tri-tip was great and really liked the caesar salad dressing as well. Breadsticks were good but pizza was just ok. Not enough toppings on the pizza! Carryout service was friendly and I liked the way they reviewed the order with me upon pick-up to ensure everything was correct. read more
