Here, the pizza and sides dishes are okay, but it's the meat that really knocks your socks off. The lemon garlic chicken has gobs of garlic and the bar-b-q chicken is slathered just right. They grill the chicken without it charring so there seems to be a lot of oil & fat when you bite into the meat. And the tri-tip is very tender and moist. The price for the tri-tip is a bit more than I'd like so I usually opt for the chicken. And the baby back ribs are good, but the ones I had didn't have that much meat on them. The garlic breadsticks are pretty good as well as the fresh salads. Drinks have free refills and the weekly lunch deals are a real great steal! read more

This place was a great find! A little unconventional for such a large place. You order and pay at the counter and they bring you your food. You have get your own plates, utensils, and drinks. The food is pretty delicious. I have gotten the greek and cesear salad, both were really good, lots of dressing just the way I like it. The breadsticks were good, too. Meat gooooood...breadsticks goooooood...pizza goooooood....the first time I came to Stonefire I couldn't believe what I was eating was tri-tip..usually a tougher piece of meat, stonefire does something pretty crazy to it to make is soft like butter..plus they serve it with garlic butter....what what???...garlic goodness...also, their meals also come with some pretty orgasmic breadsticks, fresh, warm, parmesan loving, garlic caressing bread...just love em...the restaurant is a little different, you order up front and they bring your food..everything else is self serve, drinks, plates, utensils..honestly, i don't mind it..taking a few more steps to get my plate aint no thing when it comes to eating meat this good. read more

Place is AWESOME! You place your order then wait for them to bring it to you, however it's the quality of a nice restaurant, not fast foodish or anything quick. They have a HUGE selection to choose from and I can't wait to go back again and try out some other new things. This is a very interesting place, I don't think I can compare it to any other restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The portions are huge. good food for the price. we always come here when we want to feed a large group on a budget. they also have coupons in the mail sometimes that you can look out for. i lay out is a little bit confusing. i guess it is part server part self serve. you order at the front but there aren't really any lines that form even when its busy. there almost maybe a wait for tables if it is busy but otherwise it is self seating. after you order you self-serve your own drinks, plates, napkins, etc. and you are served your food. the staff look like mostly teenagers or college kids but they have always been really friendly, patient, and helpful. the food: i dont think the food is that fantastic, but for the price it is a pretty good deal. don't expect gourmet dining. sometimes with the beef items such as the tri tip is hit or miss. it can be really tough and dry and other times it can be yummy. the other meats are safer bets. the salmon is really good and they do a good job on it. i got the lemon garlic and it came with chunks of garlic. the chicken is really good too. choice of bbq or lemon garlic. it taste very similar to how rotisserie chicken tastes but with extra flavor. very moist meat not dry at all. they charge for bread sticks but i don't think they're that good. unless you eat them while they're hot they can get kinda hard and not as good. save your calories. the portions are really really big. if it says it will feed 2 you could probably feed 3. the environment is self-serve but clean and friendly. indoor and outdoor seating but i haven't had a chance to eat outside yet. great for groups and family style dining. read more

I expressed to Stonefire Grill last week on how upsetting it was that no one followed up on what had happened with my recent experience at Stonefire Grill. Well my mind has quickly changed since. I filed a compliant and corporate got back to me later that day. They did not want to turn a customer away and insisted on sending me some gift certificates to try them out again. WOW! Now that's what I call superb customer service! I have given other restaurants 1 star for lack of customer service and what not, they would send and email on what they can do to fix it but never do follow up with me after wards. I have been eating at this restaurant for over 3 years and I just realized that I have never given them a review. The food here is absolutely delicious. I cannot remember a time I've visited this restaurant without leaving 100% satisfied. I personally was not a salad person but this place totally converted me. Their southwest salad is Amazing. Their ingredients are so fresh and I always find my coworkers picking at my food and trying to steal a bit when I'm getting up to get a refill on my drink or I'm playing on my phone and not paying attention to what is happening near my plate. They also serve the most delicious carrot cake I've ever eaten in my life !!! The only thing that sucks is they have ALWAYS refused to give me the recipe claiming it's a "secret ". I love this place so much I've even had them cater my numerous work events and have always gotten compliments by my coworkers on how good I am at choosing great food. Horrible meal tonight. Dry trip tip and it was cold. My mashed potatoes was a mix of dry bottom crust and old green onions with sour potatoes. great service, good family packages. went over for lunch after church with family. it was my first time here and i've never heard or seen the place before even though i ate across the lot in the fast food section many times. we ordered a little bit of everything. whole garlic lemon chicken i think it was. it was o.k. just chicken, nothing special. i didnt like the flavor too much the bbq tri-tip was nice and juicy, i think the other one was peppercorn? it was dry and chewy. we had a cheese pizza with mushrooms which i thought rocked. fresh out of the oven im guessing. nice crust and all. the garlic bread and ceasar salad rocked. i cleaned that up real nice. when our orders were comming in, they mixed up our order and instead of the chicken brought a rack of ribs so we told them it wasnt ours. as the waiter was heading back i blurted out "can we work on the ribs while we wait for the chicken" but i guess he didnt hear me or didnt want to hear me and walked away with looking back. we got our chicken quickly, within 5 minutes so we got to work on other stuff. the waitresses were nice and checked up on us frequently and not to an annoying point. i hessitated to between a 4 and 3 star but i ended up giving it a 3 because theres so many other places that has this type of food. so yea, thats that. read more

This is a great place to get take out food when you are having friends/family over and you neither 1) have the energy to cook, 2) yet do not want fast food. Stonefire grill is, for lack of a better word, COOL! The best bang for your buck is their lunch special deal. I believe it's $5.99 for your choice of a variety of items. My personal favorite is the Lemon Garlic Half-Chicken served with garlic bread and nutty cole slaw. When they say "half-chicken," they truly mean a half chicken. The portions are huge and the chicken is incredibly juicy for how quickly (and how much) they're pumping out in the kitchen. The skin is slightly crisp and cooked in a lemony sauce, covered with garlic. Garlic lovers rejoice because they do not skimp on the garlic. Now, if you are not a garlic fan, you might want to avoid this dish. The breadstick has a light dusting of Parmesan, butter, and a sprinkle of parsley. The nutty coleslaw is not the typical drenched-in-mayonnaise coleslaw that so many places serve. There is a good amount of dressing, with peanuts to pack a punch. I've tried a number of other items including the tri-tip sandwich, BBQ sandwich, personal pizza, but the lemon garlic chicken reigns supreme thus far. Add a beverage for just $1. Sweet! read more

I ate at this Stonefire Grill for the first time this afternoon to celebrate my cousin's graduation. There were eleven of us, so we ordered several different dishes to share, including: two salads (Italian and BBQ chicken, 2 pizzas (1 pepperoni, 1 half-cheese, half-vegetarian), a full rack of baby back ribs, the tri-tip, baked chicken, and breadsticks. I thought the Italian salad tasted great, the ribs were soft and delicious, the breadsticks mouth-watering, and the pepperoni pizza tasty! Service was fast and friendly. Stonefire Grill definitely got a thumbs up from me today, and I definitely recommend it for special occasions and large parties :) read more

I went here with a friend and ordered the grilled chicken combo with the tri tip and it was not that much for how much I spent. The chicken was very oily and there was only about 5 pieces of tri-tip. Visited during lunch on a weekday. The restaurant & take out get pretty busy with several people during their lunch breaks. You order at the counter, get a number, then take a seat and your food is delivered to you. There's plenty of seating inside and out. Service is excellent! The servers are very attentive and friendly! Service is fast as well, which helps for those with limited time during lunch. I ordered the steak sandwich, which was ok. It was a little small for the price. For a side dish, it was an additional .99. Next time I'll try a pizza or a lunch special, which looked like a better deal. read more

I've lived in Irvine for four years always passing by this establishment but never made the trip, however a few days ago I tried it out. The menu seemed to boast a variety of offers and my appetite was definitely enticed. Upon his suggestion we opted for the peppered butter tri tip meal offering a salad/side alongside two breadsticks. Not having eaten all day, an order of tomesto pasta joined our bounty. I was extremely hungry and I believe Stonefire delivered. First off I am a sucker for breads and salads, they seem to be the most appealing portion of meals to me. The Caesar salad was well dressed, fresh and crisp. The breadsticks - though on the small side - were perfectly warmed, crisp, buttery and cheesy. I seriously was considering ordering more just because how tasty they were. The pasta was adorable as it was split between the creamy pesto and tangy marinara. Personally I preferred the marinara portion finding the pesto to fall a little flat on flavor, however the creamy quality when mixed with the marinara tamed the acidic quality of the tomatoes. The tri-tip came last but was on the side of underwhelming. Desirably medium, it came out more on the medium well side leaving it drier. The peppered butter option I would suggest to defer from and opt for the BBQ sauce version instead. The portion was relatively decent and left my stomach full, but I am known to be a bird when I eat! My biggest suggestion would be offering a reasonably sized combo or option offering an array of foods for two people since the restaurant seemed to cater more towards the larger parties. Service was amazing, all of the workers seemed happy and helpful in the very well kept establishment. All in all, I would come back but definitely not something I would find myself personally regularly visiting, unless someone invited me for an event. Stonefire definitely isn't the hottest girl at the club, but at the end of the night she's a solid looker who you know won't leave you asking for more. read more

Favorite restaurant ever. You can't go wrong with the Lemon Garlic Roasted Chicken, the Cartwheel Salad, and the half garlic butter/half BBQ tri-tip that just melts in your mouth. This was my very first visit to this restaurant and I was beyond impressed. Menu is very extensive, service is great and the food is clean and delicious. I had the Mediterranean chicken salad, a side of the farro salad and some hummus as an appetizer. Everything was outstanding. I am going to go back soon to try some of their cauliflower dishes as those sounded amazing, as well as their ribs and chicken.
