A few months go by and our old backyard fence was in the final stage of falling apart so we contacted Alex (aka turtle) who provided the initial quote for us and he came back out and gave us the final numbers and all. Chris the project manager was always in communication with us and his foreman Ivan was always on site and answered any questions we had. We have had Newland Landscape come out to our house for several different projects over the years…read moreand we have been happy with the outcome each time. Roland was our contractor and he gave us very reasonable estimates and stayed within budget and stuck to the timeline. They did artificial turf in our front yard and added a concrete step pathway to our front door. We were extremely happy with the way it turned out. They also did a waterfall feature in our backyard which did have a few issues, like the motor going out several times. However, every time we reached out to Roland, he followed through and sent his guys to resolve the issue. He stands behind his work, and even when the motor stopped working after a year, he sent one of his guys to buy us a new motor and get it installed without charging us for it. We were absolutely impressed with the way this company takes care of their clients and does not give up until the customer is 100% satisfied. Last month, we contacted Roland asking if he could do a small job for us; we wanted artificial turf installed on the small strip of dirt on the other side of our driveway, and even though the job was super small, Roland agreed to take the job. We had gotten another estimate from someone else and Roland's quote was far more reasonable. He sent his guys and they got the job done in two days. Overall, we are impressed with the quality of work, the very reasonable pricing, and integrity of standing behind their work. While landscaping companies are a dime a dozen, good ones are hard to find. Roland and his team at Newland Landscape are pure gold.

We can't say enough good things about working with Brianah and her team at Rooted Landscape Design…read morefor our backyard project. An architectural designer friend recommended her, and we quickly discovered first-hand why. We had an esthetic in mind, a short wish-list, and a budget, but we've never done a project like this before. We needed a partner to transform our ideas into our dream backyard. Within a few days of coming out, Brianah presented a design that encapsulated our vision into something real and beautiful. She expanded on our good ideas and where our ambitions exceeded our budget, she showed us ways to get the same and maybe even better esthetic with much less demolition. We really appreciate how continually she checked in, walking the yard before and after each major project step, asking for continual feedback and tweaking the design to her and our suggestions along the way. Our backyard is now our oasis, a magical spot with a wild feel, continually changing, flowering, and growing. We love to see how the space changes through the year and how much our daughter enjoys exploring it. The only challenge is, when guests come over, we must coax them inside for dinner because the backyard is so pleasant and relaxing. We loved the experience of working the Briannah and Rooted Landscape Design. And, we love our backyard.

He did a couple of computerized renderings of our front yard, and we compared his ideas to my drawings, and wow, almost identical. The entire project took a mere 5 days. Even the neighbors were impressed especially with the high quality work. We had the entire front yard revamped and the driveway went from 2 car parking to 3 car parking with the walkways going from 3' to 6' with a new 6' walkway going from the house to the sidewalk. We reused all the existing plants we had, which saved us a bundle and look awesome in their new homes. Stephen had the crew run electrical conduit in case we changed our minds on path lighting. Good call! We changed our minds! So after the project was finished Stephen himself came out and put in the path lighting himself. After all said and done, I noticed that we had a problem with the sprinkler line under the side walk missing dirt. I texted Stephen and he immediately jumped into action to get the issue fix. Thanks Stephen! Love this company and I 100% would recommend them!

I hired Socorro and crew for a rather large landscaping project in the Lantern District of Dana…read morePoint that included installing an irrigation system, a lighting system, removing some existing hardscaping, shoring up a retaining wall, building a planter, stucco work, removing an existing fence and installing a new one, and finally installing new plantings. The job took about 3 weeks and the final cost was close to the original estimate. I received about 4 bids prior to choosing Dana Pacific. Far and away, I knew immediately that Socorro was the most honest, knowledgeable and professional of all the companies I talked to. His estimate was in the middle--not the cheapest not the most expensive so it seemed fair and complete. He and the crew came every day from about 7:30-4:00 as long as it wasn't raining. They did a fantastic job. My yard looks better than I could have ever imagined. They were a pleasure to work with. I worked with Steve who came out to the measure the space and to learn about our vision. In addition to our wish list, we sent photos of the kinds of features and aesthetic that we were interested in. His very first design knocked it out of the park -- like a personalized resort. The designs were fully 3D mockups so we could really understand the space. He then worked with us to refine the vision, tweaking and adjusting for cost and layout considerations, down to moving things around a foot or two. The final design includes all our must-haves, and at a construction cost that we can afford. I love that the designs allow for a phased build-out so that we can get our highest priority items now and prepare for features we want down the road (like running a gas line now for a future built-in grill). This gives us an affordable pathway to our full dream yard. Thanks, Steve!
