One of the aforementioned desserts--a chocolate lover's dream!
Rachel S.

A long overdue review for one of my favorite Ballard staples. Gorgeous, upscale ambiance (which is rare in Seattle) and consistently delicious food as well as excellent service. The desserts rotate and are consistently incredible and creative--I still think monthly of one I had a few years ago (it had chocolate and some kind of peanut crisp--like a classy and delicious Butterfinger!) . We stopped in for our first wedding anniversary earlier this summer and our server went so out of his way to make our night special; I will never forget it!! This is a great spot for dates and special occasions. The only caveat is that it can get a little loud.

My friend recommended this place and I was excited to try it since it had been on my list for a long time. We shared the charred broccoli to start and it was amazing! Do not miss it. We got the burrata, which we did not realize was like a mini pizza. It was cute, but not sure if it really needed as much bread as it had. The pistachio pesto was yummy though. Then we also shared the papparedelle pasta. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was pretty good. I might have liked a little but thicker of a sauce. It was not a huge portion, but with the other food it was perfect for sharing. Will have to come back here to try the cocktails as they looked great. The bartender who served us was very friendly and helpful!

Went for brunch on Sunday, got to sit outside since the weather is nice. Very dog friendly! Ordered the Dutch baby, steak and eggs and pepperoni pizza to share. All the food were very tasty and the service was pretty fast! Would come back for brunch again

The leftover pizza box

Really disappointed. Was craving wood-fired pizza. Read all the reviews and couldn't wait to try it. Went down to treat myself to dinner on beautiful night. First, my $35 pizza was burnt but not enough to send it back. It was just ok. And when I asked for a box to take the leftovers home, this is what I got. No pizza box. Got home. No wax paper or foil. All stacked on top of each other and already soggy. So I paid $35 for 2 pizzas of burnt pizza and 4 soggy slices I won't eat. Really unacceptable, especially for a restaurant known for pizza. Def won't be back.

Always love coming here, they change their menu seasonally and it's always fresh, delicious, and inventive! Great drinks, friendly service, can't go wrong with any pizzas or pastas.

Stone burner has been a long time favorite of mine for one reason - the broccoli. It is the best broccoli I've ever had and the vegetable dish I crave the most - the char paired with the creamy tahini is just perfect. Other dishes come and go and are all generally quite good. The ambiance and service are always good. However on my most recent visit I was quite disappointed with the gnocchi. The gnocchi themselves were fantastic but they majorly skimped on the guanciale - I had many bites without any and had to fish around for it.

When you walk into Stoneburner, you'll be welcome by the most amazing smell of delicious baking pizza. The vibe is super cute , we were obsessed with the architecture inside. Everybody is extremely friendly from the hostess to the servers. We started with a salad. Chicory something-not pictured. It was good, but I only didn't love it because of the manchego in it. The apples and hazelnuts were a nice touch. For dinner, we share the bucatini pasta and the potato and mushroom pizza . The pasta was perfectly cooked sauce was not overwhelming . The Pizza had the most amazing crust . The toppings were great. I felt like I was eating perfectly cooked potatoes in addition to eating the pizza. Originally, when I saw another table order the baked Alaska, I thought it was a stack of waffles. The baked Alaska was delicious. It was a perfect shareable dessert. Not pictured was the house pomegranate soda. I felt like it lacked a little flavor and it wasn't very fizzy for soda. Especially at $7 a glass. But I appreciated them trying. I would say my main Takeaway for coming back would be for the pizza .

Lovely place. So beautifully done inside and ample seating both indoors and outdoors. We were a large group and sat outside. Staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was good but the stellar moment was when dessert came over. Oh man, the cheese cake was delicious but the smores chocolate ice cream cake was to die for. I would come back just for that.

We had a lovely evening here. Highlights included the service, and the ambiance. We sat right by the patio which was nice seeing the people passing by. Although I didn't love the pork chop, because it felt over cooked, the drinks, pasta and salad we had were phenomenal. I would come back and try their pizza next time.

So we went here for Father's Day 2024 and I'm so glad we did! It's been a minute since we've been here and the food, service and ambiance were all fantastic! Let's get to it Wild King Salmon: this was probably my least favorite dish as the fish was overcooked, a shame as the flavors were really good and you could tell the parts that were not over cooked promised a delicious dish if done right, the sauces and asparagus complemented it beautifully Charred Broccoli: hands down the best veggie dish I have tasted in a long while, whoa it packs a punch! I loved it so much I stole a piece off my kiddos plate Spot Prawn Aguachile: I had no idea what I was getting myself into here looool but I'm so glad I tried it, everything about it was bright and fresh BUT I probably would have preferred a cooked shrimp dish (sigh I know I'm terrible) Morels Pizza l: SO SO TASTY I love mushrooms, I love morels and I loved this pizza, the confit garlic and potato just added another layer YUM! Dry Aged Toro Steak: now this bad boy was not playing around, it sat on a bed of thinly sliced potato's and oh that salsa verde, but the steak was king here beautifully cooked and seasoned well it was a delicious plate Basque Cheesecake: oh yes I planned for this guy and boy was I glad we indulged a little more, it was heaven! And they even put the fruit compote on the side as I'm not one for cooked fruit. A great finish to the meal, make room for it!!

This place is okay. We got the yukon potato pizza and it was half burnt... The pasta was great, but the portions were very small.

Are there vegan options?

I had homemade pasta with veggies Was great don't think it had cheese

Can you bring your dog if you are seated in the outdoor area?

I wouldn't see why not. They don't have a large outdoor area but they do have sling walls in the bar area that opens up the space to the outside.

The best happy hour in Fremont! This is my husband's and my go-to spot for fried chicken and…read moresports. Their daily 3-5 happy hour makes it particularly fun to watch college football on Saturdays or NFL on Sundays. They have a dark and cozy interior with a lovely shaded patio on hot days. We typically order the same thing each happy hour - I love the fried chicken sliders (Nashville hot) and my husband gets the fried chicken basket. We always pair that with a vieux carre. Total tab is under $35 not including tax and tip. A complete steal in Seattle these days! Service is usually quick and thoughtfully-spaced with enough time to make a dent in the drinks before the food arrives. It's the perfect spot to meet up with friends, host parents, and watch sports of any kind (the mariners game is always on).

I went on a Friday for happy hour, which runs daily from 3-5pm. It is generally very challenging to make this timeframe but I had some time today to stop by right before 5pm. The happy hour deals are great - it is no surprise the restaurant is fairly busy, but at least there are plenty of seats and you seat yourself wherever you want. I got the 3pc chicken tenders and fries ($10) and a vieux carre ($7). I also got the 2pc buckeyes for dessert ($2) because it was only $2 - why not end on a solid dessert at minimal extra cost. The chicken tenders are nicely battered, flavorful, and so juicy. But I got Nashville hot and it was barely any spicy if at all! The fries were also pretty good, just a tad bit too salty but good to wash with a drink or water. The vieux carre was good - decent quality, a bit tiny, but that is how they can keep the costs so low. The buckeyes is basically cold chocolate and peanut butter but very satisfying way to end the meal and is quite sweet and pairs well with the cocktail. Service is generally good as the server was friendly and got me waters, menu, drink, and bill quickly, and made sure I was taken care of. However, there were times where the server asked me questions ensuring I got what I needed (plus points on that) but also the party next to me got asked what dipping sauces for the 3pc chicken tenders and fries and the server did not ask me that. I would have loved something not ketchup because I don't like ketchup so I ended up eating the dish without any dipping sauce, but at least the chicken tenders and fries were delicious enough that I still enjoyed it without any dipping sauce. I am aware dipping sauces are $0.75 extra but would've been a nice gesture to be offered the choice should I decide to get some to enhance the meal. To an extent, you get what you pay for, and the prices are so good especially in this economy that I must go back to try the other happy hour items when the timing works out!

Both are dog friendly and our waiter even brought my dog a water bowl! Our servers were attentive and friendly. Food and drink were prepared and served quickly. Thank you Luke and Jeff for the wonderful service! I would recommend the brisket sandwich with a fries upgrade. The brisket is tender and juicy and pairs well with the slaw. The ciabatta bun is the best vehicle for all the deliciousness of the sandwich. But the stand out for me was the fries! Perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection, dipped in the aioli...YUM! To drink, I had the non-alcoholic spicy blueberry mocktail. It's spicy from the Fevertree ginger beer and slightly sweet from the blueberry. The fresh mint was a fragrant and delightful garnish. It comes in the coolest copper mug! If you're in the Ballard/Fremont area looking for outside seating, cocktails/mocktails, and tasty food, make sure to check out The Barrel Thief!

We were the only ones in there for a while and so had a chance to talk with Geoff, who made great recommendations for food and was very pleasant and friendly. Everything we tried was delicious. My friend initially ordered a drink that wasn't on happy hour as she had forgotten to ask about it, and at the end, Jeff had changed the price to a happy hour price since he didn't let her know about that in advance. We saw that Kin Len Thai Night Bites was just a few blocks up North so we decided on that, not knowing anything about it before. To our pleasant surprise, we entered the door and waited to get seated. Once we followed the host to our table, we realized the space opened up more than we had realized (when you first get inside it is just a lobby area), then we saw the theme of the restaurant's name come to life "Thai Night Bites" with dark wood furniture, a bar with a rounded rooftop and a light-up sign (maybe neon), the tri-color flags hanging from the ceiling to represent the culture. Service was kind, attentive, and patient as we ended up ordering one appetizer to start with then ending up ordering another one when they came back. We didn't plan on being there during Happy Hour but it just happened to be that way; we decided to order from the 3pm-6pm happy hour menu since we were there at 5pm. In the photos, you can see we got the Chicken Red curry vermicelli Crispy Fried Egg , Crispy Garlic Prawns with Sticky Rice & Shrimp Chips, Papaya Salad. All 3 items were great honestly, would order again FOR SURE. We are pretty cautious when ordering new dishes from places we haven't been, instead of going safe like getting a Pad See Ew or Pad Thai, but we were so glad we made the decision to try these! We ate all of the papaya salad and chicken curry vermicelli (although the vermicelli made me super full and I definitely could of took the rest to-go), then we left with a box of the remaining grilled prawns, sticky rice, and shrimp chips. We will definitely be back here again, we enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, the taste/readiness/speed of the food. We aren't in Fremont much, but whatever hassle it may take to find parking / getting here, I feel is worth it if you see things from their menu and are interested! So try it out and let me know your favorites too

And today, the order is the most disappointing one ever. There is almost no sauce on the wings and the existing sauce is diluted as water (not thick and flavorful as it was). Very disappointed. The wings are bland. If there is no improvement made on this, I won't order the wings ever again. Seems like corners are being cut here and there for this dish until there is no quality at all. The drunken noodles however still maintain the quality and taste as it was, so kudos to that. Service wise is just average. Expect to wait in line if you dine in and if you are being sat at the bar area, everybody needs ID.
