I was in a car accident with multiple injuries including a fractured neck and three limbs less than 5 years ago. I have been to a few different physical therapists in different settings, both as an inpatient and out patient and therefore feel I have reference for what I observed of my treatment. I was told I did not answer questions about my injuries the way he wanted me to. I was talked down to and with disrespect. Not only was I the patient, but older than all staff. The staff are very friendly, so I stayed far longer than I should have. What I wanted to work on was disregarded (walking down steps), and told my input of my difficulty with stairs was not needed, only his evaluation on going up and down one low riser because they did not have the equipment. My Orthopedist, who I just saw said he would gladly send a new script to any new provider I choose. Time to move on.
