Been going here for over 10+ years with my son. John is fantastic! Always a smile! I read all these other comments about not being able to speak english and rude. I believe you walked into the wrong place. Perhaps go someplace before bashing a man and his business. If you don't like it then move on. Keep being you John! read more

I am only giving this a one star because there is no negative stars here! Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. We have recently moved to Aldie and after months of hesitation because of the COVID and being at a new address, I finally I took my kids for a haircut to this place as the only barber shop for miles. First of all they have written that they don't take any credit cards and you have to pay them cash. They barely spoke English or pretended that they don't speak English. Out of the 3 gentlemen working there, the elderly gentleman was finally available to give my kids a haircut after finishing his earlier customer. So I walked to him and tried to tell him how to cut my kids hair while he very rudely asked me to return back to the waiting area because he said ,implied, that he is the 'expert' and knows what he is doing. Then I swear he did not even clean the chair or any of the equipment with a simple brush which he had just used on someone's hair. When I complained and told them that they can not just take off their equipment off someone's hair and cut someone else's hair with them before cleaning or sanitizing them especially now that we are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and I am scared for my kids' and family's health and safety more than ever before. Obviously they did not like my comments and immediately started yelling and cursing and asked us to leave the shop. Of course they asked us to pay them first and then leave while giving my kids the worst haircut ever, obviously because they were upset about my comments. Surprisingly, the elderly gentleman who apparently barely spoke English, also gave himself a tip from my $100 bill while two of them almost got physical with me and even took off their masks in order to kick me out of the shop in front of my kids. I literally had to drive my kids all the way to Fairfax to our regular barber to fix their horrible haircut of my children for which they charged us the full price plus tip As I promised them I will report them both to the health department as well as the Better Business Bureau read more

Stone Ridge Barber Shop - This was the elderly gentleman who cut my kids hair and who was apparently the owner and boss there. Whom was also the rudest among them all - Barbers Near Me - Stone Ridge, Virginia

I take my son to John, the owner. Very nice man. I tell him how I want my son's hair to look and he does a very good job. When he has a customer, I just grocery shop at Harris Teeter and return. Or make an appointment. Help support small businesses. read more

I gave a second chance. I didn't like my haircut. The guy John is too rushing person. I don't think he cares about quality service rather greedy for cash. Will not go there anymore :( read more

I get a pretty simple haircut, but I'm told they do a nice job. I can't really see if it's any good except when they hold up that little mirror at the end. Prices are good, but I have no idea how they do if you actually care about your hair more than I do. I sort of wish they took credit cards, but that might encourage them to increase prices, so I'll stick with $15 in cash per cut. read more

This shop does a great job with reasonable prices. I have used several of the people there for my hair. I have been dedicated to John, though. John is the owner and does a great job managing the shop. Highly recommended. This is a barber salon, not a women's hair shop. This is a place for men and boys to get good cuts. read more

I hate them soo much well. Yesterday i got a haircut from John. And we paid 18$ for a scam. John was rushing so much that my hair was hurting. And when we're finished I looked and I was upset. One side was short and one side was long, and and John was sooo rude and mean that he made excuse like 18 for a ripe off like what that's a rip off read more

This is a great shop John and team always take care of me and my kids. Remembers how everyone likes their hair cut.

I WILL NEVER COME BACK OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS BARBER SHOP. You guys don't give customers what they ask for. Now I have to go to a real professional and experience barber who listens and cares about customer satisfaction instead of making $$$. I took my son for a hair cut and what he got was a terrible hair cut and service. I requested to have someone else fix his hair cut and was denied, claiming "there is no one available". What ever happened to customer service. read more

Went to get a beard trim and line up. Called on the phone to ask if straight razor was used and was told yes. I am bald so my beard is what draws me attention. Needless to say after i explained what I was looking for as well as showed pictures of previous trims...EPIC FAIL. On top of it all what took place transpired in 6 minutes, my beard ruined, $15 less in my pocket and not happy. Did not show any passion for grooming of a beard. Just another turn and burn shop. read more

Been going here for years. When you find a good barber you stick with them. John does a fantastic job and is my go to barber. Prices are fair and my kids get lollipops every time I go there even if they are not with me! Great place read more

I took my 3 young kids here. First was just me and my 8yr old and 5yr old. We all had decent cuts for a very fair price (I believe around $14 each.) The barber shop is very wide, open and bright which I think my kids appreciated. A week later, I brought in my 2yr old for his 2nd haircut he's ever had. The barber did great, and my son barely cried at all. Again, I think it helped just having such an open space and gentle touch by all the barbers there. They gave the kids lollipops even before they had their hair cut. I was debating taking the time to put a review up, but just this week I had to drop off a package at PostNet next door with my 2yr old, and the barber came out of his shop, said hi to my son, who I could tell was staring in the barber shop's direction, and he actually went up to the barber and said hi (and got the lollipop.) Terrific recognition of what put kids at ease. I'll be bringing all 3 of my kids here (and having my hair cut as well) for years to come. Great job. read more

Expert coiffures at reasonable prices. Nice folks that always offer a hearty welcome. I get "a number one all over" which is a special cut. Ask for it by name and look like a rock star! read more

I have been coming here since it opened. A bit of a drive for me but worth it when you find someone who does your hair right for a decent price. Wait for John, he's off on Mondays. If you have kids, you'll always get a lollipop! read more

Really great people. Friendly and inviting. Took me right in for a cut and shave. If you are in the area drop by, you will not be disappointed. read more

So I went in looking for specific look. Asked for a #2 on the sides please don't cut the top! I was looking for an undercut and wanted a part on one side. Lady totally ignored me and cut all of the hair on top off. (Which I have been growing for several months) I was agitated, but it was too late at this point. I don't think she understood what I was looking for. I still got a good haircut but that is the last time I go there. read more

One of the employees is a smoker. In November of 2017 I got a haircut from him and his hands reeked of smoke, called him out on it, spoke to the owner about the health/sanitary concern. March 2018 as I'm getting another haircut, he walks in from outside and begins to cut a child's hair, without washing his hands first. I could smell the smoke on him as he walked by. After I was done, I called him out on it again, this time being vocal in front of four other customers and two other employees. I'm not sure really the owner cares as after I went back to point out the actual health code violation, I saw them smiling and laughing as I walked away. This is in my neighborhood but I'd rather drive to Chantilly or Ashburn. If you cut hair, your hands are all on, over, and around someone's face and hair...you should not be a smoker, at least not while working. If he did it on the two times I happened to be in, then it's absolutely an every day thing. I am seriously considering reporting for the health code violation, because it is disgusting. read more

So I decided to try out this place for the first time and the last time. My review is not about my haircut but the fact that the barber shop provides a play area for toddlers, which i thought was fantastic until I started cleaning up my daughters mess and found a butcher knife in plain site for any child to pick up and really hurt themselves or someone else. What is a butcher knife doing in a child's play area? When I brought it to the barber's attention there was no apologizing whatsoever. If you bring your children here and allow them to play in the play area, please look to make sure it is safe. read more

This is a great Barber Shop. Notice I said, "barber shop", not hair stylist. Ladies, if you are looking for an inexpensive cut, go to Hair Cuttery or somewhere else. This place is for men and young boys. Those are the really good cuts that they know how to give. I have been taking my son here for years. They do a really good and consistent cut every time. I see some bad reviews from a couple of ladies, but what do you expect for $14 at a barber shop? read more

Parents, I would avoid taking your children in for a cut. I took my 2yo son in and the lady was rough which made my son cry. Then a man came over and started to talk loudly which made my son continue to cry and finally he said, no more cut. A very rude and uncomfortable situation. I'll never go there again. Had to come home and finish the hair cut myself. Parents beware!!!!! read more

Good haircut, good price, nice people. Very friendly and hasn't been crowded either time I went. I don't have much of a hair style and so get a basic cut, but they did a great job. I'll continue to go as long as they keep up the great work. $14 for cut not bad either. read more
